Property Ratings at Country Club Place Apartments
This place is poorly managed. They will wine and dine you and after you sign on the dotted line that is over. Mold, maintenance issues and the office won't return phone calls. Toilet doesn't work and the leak behind the tub is my fault. When they fix a leak they won't let it air out, they cover it right away. The parking lot is a raceway. AC hasn't worked right for a year. You've been warned.

**If management responds to this saying they want to help, they already neglected in-person and email communication, ignore they're attempt to "smooth over" this review!!** Outdated, overpriced, and god awful management. I moved into a smoky apartment and an unflushed toilet. All the appliances/walls/windows are damaged, dirty, or inefficient. Maintenance is hit or miss, you have to beg the emergency line worker to come prevent your apartment from flooding. If your car has plates that need to be renewed this apartment complex WILL TOW YOU no matter what. They will lie to you about the reasoning for it and refuse to let you speak to management! do NOT ignore these reviews, look elsewhere!!

Absolutely terrible place to live. I moved in about a month and a half ago. Upon move-in, they did not issue me a mailbox key, the dryer will not run, and the A/C leaks all over the floor. I have been living here a month and a half, and (even though I have asked several times), they have not given me a key for my mail yet. I need to go to the office on the weekends and turn in my ID just to access my mail. They have tried to fix the A/C twice now and it still leaks. They have not addressed the non-functional dryer that I am paying for. Since move-in, the water level in the toilet has dropped severely. I have replaced parts on the toilet myself (maintenance hasn't addressed it), and it still doesn't work. Terrible management. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!

They don’t care about their tenants and safety. They will charge you for things they should be doing before the next tenant moves in and put false info on move out sheet and send your stuff to collections. The staff is very unprofessional and need more training. Don’t even think about speaking to someone higher up with them because they just as worst as the leasing office staff. Your better off taking your money else were
Treat and talk to their tenants like trash. They’re kind to you until you come to them with real issues or need something to be fixed. Then when you follow up, they can be snarky and full of excuses more than solutions, or “taking down” your request/call as if this is the first they heard of your issue. Forever putting letters on the door about checking apartments for this and that.. maybe they can stop putting these tacky notes on the doors and use it to write down and keep track of their tenant calls. Just saying, why the routine notes on the doors of checking the apartments and coming in tenants apartments if you’re not going to fix anything or address the things that need to be done anyway. Have made it a point to keep family and friends from moving into this place. The improvement starts with management. Until changes are made with management, not much hope for this place.
I really wanted to give Country Club Place 5 stars after living here for nearly a year. However I was threatened with having my car towed with only 24 hours notice on a Friday at 1pm for having 3 month expired plates. I tried to reason with management and expressed that it was unreasonable to get to the DMV on a Friday at 1pm to prevent the tow but was told "I should have gotten it done months ago". I was also told the manager "wouldn't discuss the matter with me". It was a terrible and extremely stressful situation that had no resolution. No one would reason with me and I was told I should park blocks away from my apartment until I visited the DMV. If you do not want to live in fear of unreasonable staff, I really would not recommend Country Club Place. If that doesn't worry you, I moved into an apartment reeking of smoke with outdated and damaged doors/walls/appliances.
From day 1 they make it abundantly clear they have no interest in doing right by their tenants. I purchased a motorcycle and would park the bike with my car, so not to take up additional spots. My neighbors would park in the same space as my bike and they refused to do anything about, and threatened to tow my car as well as anyone else's that park with the bike. They have massive potholes littering the property for months on end, and when shown video proof of one causing a flat they do nothing but blame you and saying there's no proof the pothole caused the damage. I made a payment late at night but it didn't process till the next day and secretly added a $50 late fee after the fact, then charged late fees on that as I didn't see it until the next month. This company is a complete joke and anytime you call them with issues they claim you're insulting them and hang-up. I've never used profanity or called anyone directly a name but have been hung-up on every time I call. These people are pathetic, do not rent here.

This complex does not care at all about their residents. My A/C unit has not been functioning for the last four months causing my electric bill to be triple the cost of the year before. Seven times I have contacted the office about this and my issues are still not resolved. I live in an apartment that gets to 75 degrees at its best and up into the 80s. My dog is over heating and prefers to be outside in the middle of July. They don’t give a crap about our issues and it’s miserable to live here. Also, don’t get me started on the fact that our apartment smells like we chain smoke because they allow people to smoke inside their apartments and it seeps into others. They also smoke weed inside and it smells up our apartment. When we called about our place smelling like weed, they told us that we’d have to call the cops. They wouldn’t do anything about it. This complex is terrible and only cares about raising your rent every year.

I looked at several apartments before I drove by these and decided to check them out. My parents had lived here with my when I was a baby so I decided to check them out. I went in wanting a 1bed 1bath but it turns out, the 2bed 1bath was the cheaper choice! I immediately fell in love with the apartment, the area, and the price! The office staff is so kind and helpful even when I ask stupid questions :) And maintenance is so fast! I often leave a request in the morning and by the time I return for work, it's completed. The area is kept up very nice with trash pick-up and mowing. The apartments are older so I do need maintenance a little more than expected BUT it gets taken care of- and I never have any issues after the fix! The area is also pretty quiet despite being so close to the highway and Lindenwood. The trees keep it well-shaded, and there are plenty of designated dog areas. The only complaint I have (that could be applied to literally every other apartment except a few) is the parking. It can often become overcrowded and I end up having to park much further down the road than I'd like. It would be nice to have a designated parking spot for each apartment, but it's no dealbreaker. I just hope my rent doesn't increase too much when I renew! I don't want to leave!

Both our management and maintenance teams strive to show the passion and care they have for our residents by working hard for our community. We hope that you will contact us if you have any questions or concerns moving forward. Thanks again! - The Country Club Place Team
Don’t waste your time!! The price seems reasonable but it’s not once you actually get in the apartment and stay a few months. Style is not great, management is horrible, maintenance is timely but horrible. They had to come out 5 different times for one problem, and that’s just for one of the problems. Only features is tennis court and pool. With 600 units(this is not including whole families) the 2 pools they do have gets very crowded. Plus the guess people bring!! Management just built a new clubhouse, but not for the kids and families but for them to do more of nothing but set on there computers. Maintenance leaves grass on the walkway days after mowing. Snow removal is not a big priority for them. They would let the snow remove itself before they call someone out. In certain parts of the complex you can not wash dishes and take a shower at the same time, so hope you get a good that can. People leave there dog poop everywhere. Parking sucks, some nights I had to walk the entire lot just to get to my building. End note: Don’t get caught on the look of it, experience is what counts and I personally didn’t have a good one here.

WORST Management Ever!!!!! I have lived in several apartments and this one is by far the worst. I would not give 1 star if had the option. Amanda and Tara in the office are useless very unorganized, high turnover rate. We lived in this apartment for almost 2yrs while we saved up for a house. There was a leak in the utility room on and off for 1 1/2 years before they finally called in a PROFESSIONAL PLUMBER to fix it. Resulting in a wet carpet in the hallway and my bedroom multiple times with mold growing in the closet. Industrial fans blowing all the time. When issue was reported to office they make excuses for the problem before they would send maintenance down and each time who would complain about the previous maintenance...there would be a different ”diagnosis”, but not resolved. We also had a leak huge from the neighbors dishwasher in the living room and in the master bathroom from the upstairs toilet and tub as a result of them not being sealed properly(took 3 times with toilet/bath water all over the bathroom to finally fix the problem).Trash and food left in the breeze way by the neighbors. I could go on.. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to stay.

This place threw away our grill and table we had on our patio. It was not in the way. They VERBALLY told my roommate ONCE to move it. I called the office and spoke with Amanda who is the “assistant manager”, also extremely rude, and she claims that they had posted a note on our door. GUESS WHAT, there was no notes or letters. There was no warning. They never called and expressed the issue. They have my contact information and never said ANYTHING. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I said it before in my last review SEEK LIVING ELSEWHERE. Extremely disappointing.

The apartments are nice enough, but the management makes poor decisions. They take away amenities without lowering rent. They are terrible at returning phone calls. They go the cheap route when fixing things, so you tend to have to call about the same issues 2-3 times. It's probably a good apartment if you only need a place to stay for a year or so, but if you need something longer I'd look somewhere else.

Management is rude and generally unhelpful, maintenance is lacking, apartments are old and starting to have problems (decks warping, water heater going out, leaks from upstairs, water pipes bursting, No AC for awhile, etc...). One of my fiancé’s pasttimes is picking up trash that seems to float around everywhere during walks. Neighbors are friendly enough, pools look nice, tennis courts are in decent enough condition, the location is the best part. I will not be living here again.
I waited 2 months for an apartment with a loft. You don't get to see your actual apartment before you move in. On moving day which was also lease signing day, I was told that there were still some repairs that needed to be done to the apartment and that they would be taken care of by the end of the week ie. hall bath doorframe, master bath doorframe & closet in the guest bedroom still needed the track & doors hung. Those items needed to be done & the outside light, the front door doorframe, the counters lean in toward the living room so bad that I can't keep a vase sitting on them, the hall bath toilet leans toward the tub very badly, the toilet seat was also broken in the hall bath, the screens to the doors to the balcony are broken & there were ants coming in through the window seals in both bedrooms, the cabinets still had dried up BBQ sauce all over them & were dirty inside, there was some kind of dried up poop in the loft closet, the dishwasher is an old hunk of just like the stove, got fridge from a bent and dent store so it is dented. After a month of living here I put in a maintenance request because the work still had not been done. After another 2 mos went to leasing office to find out why repairs hadn't been done in 3 mos, they apologized & said that they would have someone fix them. 2 wks later came in to fix some of them (only the doorframes, the outside light, & the toilet seat.) We'd already put a new toilet seat on ourselves, he fixed the outside light & the bathroom door frame. He hung the door track up backwards on the guest bedroom & he installed a new door to the master bedroom backwards. When I saw this I went to the leasing office, they again apologized & said that they would put in a request for it to be fixed. Another month and a half has passed & those items are still not done. The neighbors next door to me I do NOT see how they still live here. They are loud, slamming doors, stomping up & down the stairs, screaming, they throw trash all over the stairs, the police are at their apartment about twice a month, & one night they walked into our apartment after getting drunk from one of the many parties that they have. The W,S,T, is not included in the rent, you pay extra each month on your rent payment for it depending on the size of your apartment.
The office staff does nothing to accommodate their residents and will act in a very unprofessional manner. I wouldn't give them another dime of my money.
My first review was denied, so i'll try to be more positive. I would positively recommend that you spend your money elsewhere. Maintenance will take weeks to get anything fixed. Tenants will not pick up after their dogs. Your apartment will not look like the model apartment. The list goes on and on.
Currently a resident here. Nothing ever gets done. I've been waiting two months for maintenance to get some simple tasks done. I've talked to the property manager Lindsay on multiple occasions about this issue yet still nothing is done. All they do is give me empty promises about calling back, sending a maintenance guy out, etc. Anytime I call and talk to her or anyone else there goes through one ear and out the other. I'm probably better off hiring a handy man and just billing the office. I'll make sure I recommend people to live elsewhere and not waste their money on this place.
These apartments are the worst. When we were shown the apartment it smelled completely different than when we moved in. Upon moving in the whole place smells like cigarette. We have lived there for almost a year now and it still smells. All of the neighbors smoke so it just comes back in when we open the windows. Also our neighbor is actually allowed to smoke INSIDE her apartment which leaks into ours. Do not live here if you do not smoke.
I have lived here since July of 2016, I absolutely love it here. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to live. The office staff is friendly and extremely helpful. I also enjoy how timely the maintenance staff has been with all of our request. Happy to call this my home :)
My husband and I have lived here for 10 months. We moved in in January. In April there was a bad storm that caused some water damage in the living room on the ceiling and around the sliding doors. I called immediately and asked that someone come out and fix it. Two weeks went by and no one ever came. I called again. And again. And again. For weeks. No one came out to look at the water damage until September. That's five months! Over the course of five months I called at least twice a month. I wish I could add a picture because my living room ceiling looks disgusting. They finally fixed the water leak but never fixed my ceiling. I have a huge brown spot and the paint has chipped on and fallen onto the floor. I have to vacuum it up everyday before my dog eats the chipped paint. He ate some and got sick. -_- Luckily I don't have any small children in the apartment. After five month of waiting I told them I wanted to break the lease and they told me I would have to pay $1,500 to do that. Ridiculous. Overall we were happy here before the water damage. The neighbors are friendly and quiet. The rent is a little high in my opinion and it seems to be getting higher. Great place to live unless you have a maintenance issue. I will not be signing another lease.
This review is strictly about Ashley in the leasing office. She went above and beyond to help my husband and me with a stressful mail forwarding situation. We are actually former residents, but Ashley went above and beyond to help us. The fact that we no longer live there and she took time and energy to assist us shows great compassion and thoroughnes . Thank you again!
Extremely poor customer service. Was told these were smoke free upon moving in.. When I complain about the apartment smelling like cigarettes they tell me the neighbors are smoking in their apartment and there isn't anything they can do about
I've lived in Country Club for almost 2 years and can say that overall I am happy. I've had some struggles with apartment maintenance, (which is somewhat to be expected in a community of over 600 apartments) but overall I love my apartment. It has interesting features and a cozy feel with the wood burning fireplace. I have been lucky to be in a great building with friendly neighbors and no real noise complaints. Pet owners not cleaning up after their dogs is a bit of an issue but the community did put in pet waste stations to try and combat that. The staff is friendly and the community is well maintained. I'd certainly recommend the community for a nice apartment home at an affordable price!
I love my apartment because it is far enough away from my parents to come visit once in a while, but still close enough if I need them in an emergency. The pool is always welcoming when I get home from work after a hard day of serving.
Love the location. Perfect for my family. It's kept in great condition. Pool area is very nice. Love that we were able to keep our beloved dog.
I have been dealing with a water leak and mold for 3 month's can't get the property owner to fix the problem. Community is quiet neighbors friendly.
These apartments are great, the price is about average but the apartments are very spacious. The maintenance requests are handled in a timely manner and usually done well. The pools are awesome and relaxing, however they tend to have problems keeping them open due to maintenance. Overall, it's been a good experience and I would recommend this complex to anyone in the area looking for a good place.
They will welcome you to your new home with the best friendly service I have ever seen. Their maintencance team is quick and very reliable! Its the perfect location for the city of St Charles because it is in the middle of everywhere you need to go in the St Charles area and its close to St Louis too! Can't get better than this!
This is a nice location. Very quiet and peaceful. However, it is extremely hard to get maintenance to fix anything. They come out and take a look at the problem, but have yet to fix some major issues. For example, the floor is broken underneath the carpet, one of my sliding glass doors had to be wedged shut the day i moved in a year and a half ago (it is still open a crack though) and has yet to be reaolved. There are cracks in the wall on both sides of the fireplace, and a hole in one of the bathroom doors. Also, the neighbors let their dogs use the bathroom right in front of the building which smells terribly and gets tracked all over the walkway.
