Property Ratings at Country Club Tower
I don’t know if the person who wrote the last review even lives here or not but I know I live here and have for several years. We do have a good maintenance man now who is somewhat overwhelmed by the amount of maintenance that needs to be done. I’m sure that management is trying to get multiple issues addressed but it is a very slow process at best. We went all summer with AC that did not work correctly and have mold in our apartments as a result. We have had our laundry rooms torn up for almost 6 weeks and some very potentially dangerous conditions have existed because of this. Management is trying to address the issues but apparently is having problems with the contractor. My biggest problem at this point is that money is being spent on surface issues but not being spent to fix up long-term issues in our apartments. The current residents are not getting the attention to their apartments that are needed due to the constant need to clean up vacant apartments that need to be rented. This has been ongoing for a very long time. I am not faulting the current manager, I am faulting Key management. I have to say again that if these apartments were private housing then Key management would not be able to get the money they are getting from HUD for these apartments. I believe they’re taking advantage of that situation otherwise they would have to fix of these apartments and do it right. Living here has been a battle but I have no money to go elsewhere as many of the people here are in the same situation. Several people I know have said they would move if they could. We can only hope that it will get better.
These ladies really care about their tenants. They have hired new maintenance and the place looks wonderful.
Maintenance is sketchy at best. Repairs are slow if at all. Floors are in bad shape. They get top dollar from HUD for these apartments but if they were to try and rent them for what they claim they are worth...they would have to do a lot of updating and upkeep. They are mostly interested in just getting apartments rented. The ones that are already rented do not get upkeep or updating. The pictures online don't show that the patio is covered with cigarette butts. The smokers get the patio and the non smokers get nothing. There is no outdoor space for non smokers. The laundry rooms are not very nice either. Floors need to be replaced because they are stained with animal urine and other substances. Renters are not told up front that there is only one A/C unit and heat unit per building. When the A/C is on, then the heat is off and vice versa. Apartments can be very hot in the winter due to lack of A/C and air flow. When the apartments are all rented people fight for parking spaces because there are not enough. There are a lot of other issues and some plusses. The apartments are located a short walk away from the local grocery store. Banks and pharmacies are also within walking distance. The location is a safe one.
