Situated midway between Atlanta and Augusta, Milledgeville is rooted in a rich history, serving as Georgia’s Antebellum Capital from 1803 to 1868. A slew of historic mansions and museums pay homage to Milledgeville’s colorful past while rows of local restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, boutiques, and antique stores contribute to the small-town character of Downtown Milledgeville.
Milledgeville offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities, including boating on Lake Sinclair, hiking the Bartram Trail, and kayaking and canoeing the Oconee River. Milledgeville is also home to several parks and golf courses, presenting even more options for outdoor activities. Convenient access to U.S. 441 makes getting around from Milledgeville simple.

Property Ratings at Country Club Townhomes
Every single apartment (3-Bedroom at least) has black and red mold growing in the walls. This is because all of the apartments pipes are from the 70's. The walls are warped. The ceilings are falling in. Their is dog crap all over the place because no one cleans it up. The parking lot looks like a bomb exploded. Actual craters in the pavement. One so bad it can damage your car if you accidentally drive into it. They say that it's a gated community, but what they mean by that is that there's two gates that are always open, and even if they were closed, you could just drive around them. They try to say that the pool is a feature. It is. For about two months, and you have to sign a waver before you can go into it because people throw garbage into it all the time, including dirty diapers, band aids, and socks. A lot of socks for some reason. Apartment fires happen once a year, because the wiring in this place seems to be from the 70's as well. The rich people that live down the street hate the people who live at these apartments and will try to run you over or stop to cuss you out for being on "their" street. The walls are very thin. You will hear your neighbors, and they will hear you. Hope you don't mind hearing EVERYTHING they do, and I hope you don't mind them hearing EVERYTHING you do. Half the people that live there are either monster truck enthusiasts, or they like to sit in the parking lot playing rap as loud as they can at around 11 at night or later. The big thing right now is to see who's monster truck can rev their engines the loudest. The management and handymen they hire will straight up walk into your house any time, without notice. They will give handymen and pest control your key and those people will be in your house regardless if you want them there or not. And last but not least, they will increase your rent, every single year you live there. $50 - $250 per month every single year without fail.
Country Club Townhomes are under new management as of late 2018. The owners and manager are working together as a team to continue to upgrade the property to current standards to ensure good neighbors within the existing community. The location is wonderful, very quiet. Located just across from the golf course and near the lake. There are many seniors living in the complex who have mentioned how much they love living at Country Club Townhomes.
