Less than 20 miles east of Phoenix, the city of Mesa is Arizona’s third-largest city and is home to nearly half a million residents. The low cost of living, affordable apartments, and family-friendly environment make Mesa a highly sought-after suburb in Arizona’s suburban desert. Although Mesa sits within a short distance of Phoenix – making it the ideal location for commuters – many residents work inside the city of Mesa itself for local employers in the medical, aerospace, and retail industries.
Mesa locals take advantage of the city’s constant sunshine, whether they’re catching a Cactus League ball game at Hohokam Stadium or tubing down the Salt River. The surrounding desert landscape is extremely popular with mountain bikers, hikers, and campers. The scenery is truly unbeatable, especially in the sprawling Tonto National Forest to the northeast.
This town is rather quiet, with a focus on community and local history, rather than a bustling nightlife scene.

Property Ratings at Country Club Verandas
they maintain the grounds of the complex to create an illusion that this is a nice complex. however over half the complex is infested with roaches that they don't care to handle. they're overpriced and the units are falling apart. each month they increase the rent ever so slightly until you're paying well over $100 more than initially agreed to. all disguised as fees and unit charges. if I could go back in time, I'd rather live out of my car than sign a lease here ever again.
Mold infested health hazard. I just filed a complaint to the AZ health department for this apartment complex ignoring my repeated requests to address the visible fungus growing through the roof. Just moved in 2 months ago and then my roof cracked and started pouring water to the floor. Then within days black mold mushrooms began protruding through. After weeks of no communication from them and filing requests online as instructed, they scheduled dates to fix it and never showed up or called. When I called today I was told to just sleep in the living room until further notice. Also the woman over phone told me that there’s mold in several other apartments including her own apartment (she lives in same complex) and it could be months before “corporate approval” for repairs . How many people have been made sick from this neglectful apartment complex? Do not move here! You will regret it when you get sick from the mold but “corporate” could not care less about the health and safety of residents apparently.

Lived there from 2016 to 2018. When I first moved in in 2016 i was recovering from a broken hip. Was immediately placed on first floor not far from parking lot. A management change occurred in 2018. They have a different style of management. Final move out inspection, member of management team inspected the apartment without having any previous reports. It was insisted that I clean the bathtub, even though it was obvious the tub needed refinishing. I spent an hour on hands and needs with CLR and other cleaners. Didn't do much good. The oven was also examined. It and the door were caked with cooking deposits. I told the inspector they were there when I moved in. I use only my microwave for any cooking. Both of these defects were noted on the original inspection report. Based on the treatment by this member of management, I do not recommend this complex. I left the place one day before the end of the lease.

Do not spend your money on this place. I’ve been here a year and can’t wait until I move out. We had cockroaches for the first 5 months of living there, we got sprayed multiple times and kept getting told “it’s coming from your upstairs neighbors” but never did anything about it. Recently, they keep shutting off our water because of a “leak” but they never give any sort of notice. We can’t put in eye contacts, take a shower or use the toilet. It’s the 3rd time without notice now. It’s ridiculous!
1. Management allows dogs the size of horses live here including all banned breeds. The pit bull mIxes outnumber any other breed of dog here by far! And so much dog poop not cleaned up. Dog poop everywhere. 2. Duck poop everywhere! Pool closed down because ducks made a home there. Ducks pooped everywhere. Ducks finally left, pool opened, but still duck poop everywhere! I guess the kids will wash it off with their feet when playing. 3. Management are complete idiots. I have never seen such an inempt group of goofs in my life. 5. The laundry room is disgusting. Its never cleaned, the floors are gross and the washers are full of slimy leftover soap and hair. 4. Recreational room is never open. But doesn't matter because its roasting hot with no air conditioner and management only uses this place for their meetings. So if you do manage to get in to this room its generally full of dirty dishes and expired food laying around and in the fridge. 5. The gym is hot. The water cooler NEVER has water in it. Which leads me to my final criticism... 6. There are tv's in the recreational room and in the gym that are supposed to work and are also supposed to have cable. After a year of living in this complex they have never worked. Management will give every excuse why they are "broken" but I'm sure its because they don't want to pay for the service. This is a beautiful complex even if the apartments themselves are tiny. However, the management and the maintenance of this place is embarrassing and frustrating considering how much you end up paying when they continue to jack up your rent.
I recently moved here from Colorado, having not previously walked the unit there were some minor changes that I requested. Within an hour of talking to the leasing agent ( Christina ) she met me at the apartment, and together we came up with a solution. Since I've been here, I've experienced service with a smile!
Moved in on Aug of 2015 and everything was perfect. Nothing broken and maintenance was prompt. But then, a few months ago some of the sprinkler systems starting spewing water uncontrollably. I came home many days to contractors digging up water lines to repair them. All of a sudden I get a notification that I will be charged water SEPARATELY on top of my rent that shot up 50 bucks. Now I'm paying about 100 dollars more. To top this off we are also getting increased laundry rates. (I'm assuming to compensate for the cost of ware line repair)

I just want to say that i did start off by trying to give this place a chance after reading all the reviews. Before I went in to see the apartments, i did my research. I looked up reviews everywhere. I thought maybe some of the reviews were exaggerating, but they are really not. this place is THE WORST. The only thing they are good at is stealing your money. Here are the reasons why we regret ever going to look at these apartments and did not move in: - staff is VERY unprofessional and lie. Don't expect to ever get a call back when told so. They are VERY unreliable. I only worked with Claudia, and i'm sorry if you ever have to work with her on anything. you are not getting accurate information. - There is SO MANY bugs everywhere. Spiders, beetles, roaches, ants. There are a lot of Pine trees in the complex and pine trees create a lot of trash and this is not cleaned. - the apartment had a strange smell to it. we walked in and the kitchen looked NOTHING like the model. -the closet doors were in horrible shape. Claudia even told us not to open them because they could just fall off. -the water heater is in the bedroom closet and was rusting over the carpet. -There was a nest of spiders both in the shower and the front balcony. this does not happen over night or in a week. -there were spots on the floor where the carpet would sink, probably the floor or wood underneath was broken. Claudia said it was totally okay and nothing bad with it. - I have never gone out of my way to write a bad review about ANYTHING. this is the first review i have ever done. but people out there need to know about how horrible this place is. DO NOT LIVE HERE OR EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME APPLYING. then again, what can you expect from a place that is in a bad area, rent is cheap, and unprofessional staff?
Nice pool and updated laundry room. Maintenance is usually very prompt. Close to downtown Mesa and new light rail station. Also only 2 miles to Mesa Riverview shopping and only 5 miles to Tempe Marketplace.
