West Des Moines is located in three Iowa counties. Residents of this area enjoy perusing the local shops at Valley Junction, which began in 1893. Today it serves as the city’s business district, flavored by undeniable community tradition. With more than 100 specialty shops, art galleries, and restaurants, there’s always something new to discover.
On the other side of West Des Moines, Jordan Creek Town Center occupies a large fashion space that includes a 3.5-acre lake and boardwalk. Many apartments are just minutes from the mall’s stores, movie theater, and lakeside restaurants. The city is located in America’s heartland and has cherished quilting since its existence. Quilt-making goes back to the 18th century in West Des Moines, and many people proudly display their creations at city craft expos.
In addition to quilting, residents of West Des Moines enjoy the local productions at Tallgrass Theatre Company on Vine Street.

Property Ratings at Country Club Village Apartments
Been here around 7 months and it has been nothing but awful. Neighbors are constantly blaring music, it smells of cigarettes and weed. Office staff has been rude, not fixing any issues brought to their attention. People leave trash bags out and then accuse random tenants with no proof and make them pay a fine. Several maintenance requests have gone unanswered. And when you call emergency maintenance for a lock out, they leave a message for the office to get back to you during office hours. I’d either have to pay a lock smith or stay with someone. Rent is also ridiculously high for a very outdated, crappy apartment. The photos look nothing like what the apartments actually look like, inside or outside. I’d break my lease but can’t afford to. I would not recommend living here.
I’ve lived here quite awhile now. A few years with my mother & then I became of age & got my own unit at CCV. I’ve lived here 2 years now on my own & I absolutely love it here! The staff is very friendly & kind. Especially Christine! I recommend to anyone & everyone :)
My partner and I moved in 5 years ago. It was the only apartment complex that would accept our large, senior dog who couldn't do stairs anymore. We had lost our home to foreclosure and were maxed out by stress and heartache. The office staff and maintenance crew have welcomed us with open arms and have been genuinely caring. We've never had to wait on submitted repairs, they're respectful of our needs, they treat us with respect and are all very friendly. Thanks to them we have been able to heal and find our way through our hell that was.

Thank you for your feedback, Eliza! We are so happy you like calling Country Club Village Apartments home!
First apartment I’ve lived in since moving to Des Moines! It’s been a great experience. Maintenance is wonderful/speedy, staff is friendly and accommodating, grounds are clean and it’s a great central location!
It is nice and quiet, fast maintenance, come ti fix problem same day!!! Ccv is constantly upgrading the property!!!, I am in this lovely upgraded 2 bedroom 11/2 apartment for 13 months now! Highly recomend!!!, bed bugs free, rodent free, property is great!!! I love it!!! Washer drier on each floor, planty of parking space with lots of greenery!!!
We have lived here for a few years and it was great, but recent management has made things difficult under the guise of upgrading. 1. We have a fireplace unit, which is great. They left us a note a few weeks ago saying they would come in SOMETIME during a week and the needed 6 feet clearance to our fireplace. We moved our couch daily, had our living room all disassembled, and our dogs crated only to later find out from a maintenance worker it got postponed. Management never said a word. Now they want to try again where they will come in SOMETIME during a week. 2. They have been redoing parking lots meaning we aren't able to park there or risk having your car towed. Notice was given, but two of the specific sections being redone overlapped leaving over 70% of the premise with no where to park. And there isn't a ton of street parking. We had to park in different buildings lots. 3. They recently updated all the siding, which looks fine, but didn't care that the construction crew didn't pick up ANY nails. When we took our dogs out, we each picked up a handful of nails. Not safe for dogs. I also accidentally stepped on a nail and punctured my foot. 4. They recently installed new washer and dryers that require a card or cell phone Bluetooth. They didn't give information about the cards right away, so no one knew how to use the machines. Then we tried to use the Bluetooth (because you can only get cards during office hours, great for those who work during those hours) and ended up with a load of wet clothes because the drier wouldn't work. Also, prices jumped to 2.00 per wash and 1.75 per dry. And they are tiny machines. 5. Maintenance responds quickly, but won't fix things, rather just slap a bandaid on it. Our air went out last year and they "fixed it" and it never even lasted a full day. They were making no improvements and finally we complained enough they brought it one small portable unit. However, the rest of our unit got up to 95 degrees before it was fixed. And we have dogs who had to endure that while it took them over a week to fix it. It broke again this summer, thankfully near fall, so they patched it up again. Our toilet has been running all summer. Thank God we don't pay for water. They have "fixed" it probably 6 times this summer. We were really happy here. Great area, quiet and nice neighbors. But it has SEVERYLY gone down hill in the past year or so, and gone down quickly. We can't wait to get out. And don't recommend to anyone.
Parking is never an issue. Maintenance is VERY fast with fixing issues. My building is very quiet. Everyone in the office is very nice and has gotten to know me and my dog. Always making changes for the better here and I love it!

From the maintenance guys to the leasing office gals Country Club Village Apartments has the best customer service around. My husband and I lived here for two years and loved every minute of it. Our maintenance requests were completed in a timely manner and questions regarding our lease were handled with professionalism. I would recommend these apartments to any and all people looking for a new place to call home. While the property is older, R & R Realty does a fantastic job of maintaining the complex. The pool provides a great place to have friends and family over to hang out in the summer months and the brand new decks attached to each apartment are perfect for grilling and relaxing. To the maintenance guys and those in the leasing office - you’re amazing - keep doing what you’re doing!

Thank you so much for your kinds words! We love hearing about your positive experience at Country Club Village! We value your feedback and appreciate you choosing to live at CCV!
First year was nice even though a bit overpriced and very outdated. Then they got new management who let anyone move in without screening and would not address issues. Thats when more cops started coming to the apartments monitoring for drug use and dealers. Front office does not care about tenants at all, very rude and condescending. Will accuse you of all sorts of things instead of addressing the real issues. All they care about is collecting a pay check. Maintenance is hit or miss depending on who you get. We had water coming in through the walls between the fireplace and wall each time it rained. No response from front office. Same with black mold in the bathroom and a bathroom sink that was unusable because they wouldnt fix it. Lots of issue with noise, bedbugs, mice, and even bats in one case. If you want to live in an overpriced slum then by all means move in.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We love hearing about your positive experience and are so appreciative to have such wonderful residents, like yourself!
I have been here for almost a year and It has been a great place to call home. I have not seen any bugs in the building I am in, the office staff is very nice, and when you need maintenance for something they usually make it there the same day, assuming you call at a reasonable time. Unfortunately there are a lot of people that don't clean up after their dogs even though they have plenty of potty stations for your dog. (Some need to be stocked!) The neighbors are very friendly and there's a lot of families here which can be a bit loud with children running through the halls and yelling. I feel very safe living here! the neighborhood is wonderful as well!

Thank you so much for your review!! We are so happy to hear about positive experience at Country Club Village Apartments. We are now requiring poo prints for all dogs in hopes to keep a cleaner community! Thanks for choosing CCV as your home!
The size of the apartment for the price is great. However, I agree 100% with the comment below. There was pot smell in my unit coming another apartment and the noise from the apartment above is the worst I've ever experienced in a complex unit before. It's too bad management seem nice though.

Thanks for your feedback! Country Club Village strives to make all of our residents feel comfortable and happy in their home. We apologize for the problems you have or had been experiencing in your apartment. What we appreciate is the fact that you reported your challenge quickly which in turn allowed us to act as quickly as the Iowa Code allowed. Peaceful times are on the way! If it stirs up again, we are just a call away.
The apartments are relatively decent sized for the price we pay. Some of the issues are, you can smell what people do on the floor above or below you. So if they cook something awful, your apartment smells the same. The kids run up and down the stairs about as loudly as they can. I have honestly never heard someone that stomps as loudly as some of these individuals. You get your own A/C, heater, and water heater. They have a laundry machine on each floor, it costs 2.75 to wash and dry. The parking lot is a little small. Limited access entry. Maintenance shows up the day you call about a problem which is nice.
