Property Ratings at Country Villas Apartments & Townhomes
Called to check if there was any available apartments, manager had attitude as if I bothered her & hung up on me. She didn’t even answer the call back.
I signed a lease at this Austin Highland property in Lisle about a year ago and had planned on renewing my lease for another 12-months knowing that I had paid all of my rent on time and had no complaints. Prior to finalizing this decision, I had called the office and asked if renewing was a possibility and what the increase would be looking like; I was told that I was looking at a $10-$45 increase and, because of this information, I discontinued my apartment search. Then, 2-months prior to my lease ending, I received a paper of my door stating that they simply cannot renew my lease. I was very confused by this so I contacted to office only to be told that they legally do not need to give me a reason for not renewing and there is nothing I can do to change this, no further explanation. My interaction with the manager was incredibly disappointing and I am extremely frustrated that I now have 60-days to find a place to live and they simply don’t “have” to give me a reason for this.
very good property to live in.. the staff is friendly and stuff gets done is a timely manner . I would rent again
Honestly you’re made to feel like you’re getting a deal with the price and the location. Don’t get me wrong, location wise it’s awesome. However it ends there. The pool they show is gross in the summer, was able to only go once when it first opened (when it was still clean). Huge pot holes, I know people complain about pot holes but they are huge and even if you ask for months they won’t fix it. They don’t fix broken washers/dryers. Doesn’t sound like a big deal but when you have only one dryer for 8 apartments and it takes two dry cycles to dry anything! They over all don’t fix anything. They will tell you they are just so busy. Just confused as to what they are busy doing when you see nothing done. The price is not worth living here.
My husband and I signed a lease here in May 2018. The apartments are some of the more affordable in the area, which is why we chose them. We knew going in they were older buildings, but we gave it a chance. Now in January 2019 we are dealing with repeated maintenance requests for leaks that are being “fixed” incorrectly and reoccurring. Management has a maintenance policy listed in their handbook that they do not follow. It has taken 2 weeks of us calling, emailing, and stopping into the leasing office to get someone to look at the slow rust leak occurring under our bathroom sink (for the second time). They had someone come out and the manager told me her “guy” couldn’t see a leak. The Lisle Fire Department told us the buildings here are known for rust leaks- the leaks go into the fire alarm system here and trigger the alarms to go off, which they then have to come out and disable. There is also a hazardous amount of mold in our building’s laundry unit. It smells and is all over the walls of building 2509. It has been almost 4 weeks since I made management aware of this, and their response was that they were not sure if that is mold, it looks like moisture, and they will have someone look at it soon. That was 3 days ago, no follow up yet regarding that. Clearly there is mold growing. We will be moving out of here as soon as our lease is up. The affordable rent is not worth it and their poor management and maintenance has caused us a huge amount of stress over the last 8 months. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
This place is an absolute joke. They never fix anything around here. The managers are never there. When asked to talk to corporate, they refused to give a number. All their buildings are dated and scummy. They raise the rent whenever they feel like it. They give less than 12 hours notice that they’re entering your apartment, making me late for work multiple times. There are 40 layers of paint on the doors and walls, so the doors don’t even close anymore. Management has done nothing. The building is definitely not up to code, so there are not enough outlets to pass an inspection. It says it’s a smoke free building, but neighbors smoked weed/cigarettes NIGHTLY despite complaints to management. The laundry room/storage area has standing water at all times, and the storage area is made of rotting wood and chicken wire. We moved out as soon as we could to save ourselves from going insane.
This place is the worst place i have ever leave, awful management( very rude) they will tow your car even if you have a sticker n slash your tires. The roof leaks when it rains and when you call them to fix it trust me it will take 2weeks before, so i had a bucket in the middle of my bedroom, tooooo many bucks in the apartment i had to call exterminators come to my apartments 5times in the last 12 months apparently those bugs comes out during summer. Dont get me started about how thin the walls are, cant watch tv, talk, shower, or do anything after 10pm, my downstairs neighbor said quiet time was 10pm and i close work at 10pm so my neighbor expected me to fly onto my bed and they made a report to the office which the management told them what ever they were complaining about was out of my control as long as it wasn't playin music too loud or anything that can be controlled, it smells sooooo bad because people be burnig incense and i couldnt breath when ever i enter the building, my toilet clotted 4 times and they keep fixing but even when you pee it get clotted so the maintenance told me i have an old version and i need a new one, trust me its cheap here if you are on a budget bt it ain't worthy, the management took me to court after towing my car and after 6months running back and forth at the court house justice was served and i won my case, please dont move here and regret it, oh less i forgt i had 4 maintenance guys walk into my apartment without no call, no knocking and enter into my bed room while my boyfriend and i were sleeping, luckily i had a blanket on me and i was naked so imagine without my blanket, seriously this is just the mere of it so please advice your self before moving here
I found this rental through Apartments.com and I picked this one because of its bi- level and the 1.5 bath option. I moved in last month in August, and so far I have no complaints. I came from the city so this area is so peaceful and quiet. The community is very much diverse so you will see a little of everything. I ABSOLUTELY love the Walk-in Closets and the bedrooms are HUGE. I love how the rooms are upstairs so you get that Townhouse feeling out of the apartment home. The kitchen is quite small but it is perfect for my family. If you have children they will attend the Naperville School District so you can't get a better deal than this. Another plus is the location which is centrally located between Naperville, Downer's Grove, Woodridge, and all the shopping stores on Route 59.
DO NOT LIVE HERE I REPEAT DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! The management changes every few months it goes from bad to worse. Yes it's a cheap place to stay but you get what you pay for!!! When it rains your ceiling leaks, plumbing is terrible and walls are paper thin. It take maintanece days to come fix things. The 24hr emergency line is a joke no one never comes so please pray that nothing goes wrong because you will have to wait until the next business day. Let me not forget parking sucks no assigned parking.
