Property Ratings at Courtyard Apartments
Great complex, close to stores and bus lines, owner is quick to respond to any repair issues. Lots of tenants have been here for many years. I only moved in 2022 to get closer to work.
1st, when I signed my lease, he was "unavailable" during the evening to sign my lease so I had to drive up past Woodinville to his worksite and sign the lease. I never got to see the apartment first.I moved into a 2 bedroom apartment by myself and the landlord told me that my electricity was connected to the office so he would text me a picture of the power bill every month with $35 taken off for office electricity. He never gave me an electricity bill until my boyfriend moved in 8 months later and expected me to pay it within the week. He also forced us to sign a new lease paying more because "another person would be living there". It's a 2 bedroom apartment so it's pricing is based on 2 people. It didn't make sense but I wanted him to move in. Then when I recently moved out he refused to let me pick up my deposit check and mailed it my old address texting me and saying "hope you forwarded your mail" after I had sent 3 texts saying I would drive the 2 hours and pick up the check. He has been horrible. While his painting woman was painting the stairwells he said you can just go through your window if you have to leave for work. She said that was unacceptable and made walk ways. He doesn't care about his tenants and treated me horribly anytime I had to contact him for something. When it came time to move out my lease ended on the 31st and he asked me to move out early so he could get it ready for the next tenants. I might have considered doing him that favor but when my boyfriend moved out of his apartment (in Courtyard apartments) early, a week early, he never prorated us the rent he had paid even though he had a new tenant already living there.
