Property Ratings at Covey Homes Bluffs
BEWARE: Moved in October 2021, met with Rhonda for a tour. The application process was simple and quick. Love living here. The grounds, pool area and gym are well kept. Any minor issues i have had are addressed immediately. Rhonda has been great to deal with, very professional and courteous. Then December of 2022 the place was bought out by Covey and managed by Rangewater. Call the office no one answers, leave a message no one calls back. They make certain changes...huge trash cans that they want in your garage until time to put them out...trash smells and the rats get in under the garage doors. Not a smart decision on their part. Then a new guy moves in next door and harasses me by knocking on my door just about every day. I was moving out at the end of my lease in October but because of him i moved out early (August) but had to maintain my lease until October...In all the confusion I forgot to pay my September rent on time. They sent me an email, I went to the office and gave them a check . Because I was a day late they added a $150 late fee. I asked if that could be removed. In the 2 years I never paid late. The response from the lady in the office was "we cannot reverse the late payment because you are moving out" - WHAT??? Mind you they have people who are so behind in rent and here I am always paid on time and the 1 time I forgot in the midst of moving that was the answer I got. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!
Now you have to pay for the Amenities (Pool and Gym) under Community Fee 110$ on top of rent also the 60 gal garbage can MUST be put in your garage or you’ll get Fined! Garbage guy comes once a week! Also there’s not enough Parking Place went downhill since Covey Homes bought it!
Poor management since new owners, my oven has been broke for 3months . Why we don’t have Maintnance team is beyond my comprehension. Covey Homes can’t even get be pool inspected ! Smh
BEWARE. This place wasn’t bad when Lincoln Properties had it. Since they sold it to the new Company it has been absolutely horrible. Might explain why so many are moving out and not very many moving in. They will not answer the phone. They will not respond to emails. So BEWARE.
I lived at the Residences at the Bluffs for 6 months while I was awaiting my dream home to be completed. I couldn’t be more pleased with this community. The grounds are always immaculate. The staff is excellent and were always available to address my concerns. They even have little community events like food trucks and Easter egg hunts for the children. It is close to plenty of food and shopping.
If you are looking for a townhome community that actually cares about their residences, I would not recommend living at the Bluffs. My lease was from July 2021-July 2022, and I am currently having to pay 2 extra months of rent because of a 60 day move out notice requirement. At other residences I have lived, it is usually 30 days notice, and when your lease is up, the lease is up, unless you renew. The management contacted me 30 days in advance and I provided them with the written notice at that time. I was then told by the office "it needed to be 60 days" for a non penalty, and “It would be a courtesy of us to remind you 60 days in advance, not a requirement”. Every other apartment complex I have been at has reached out to remind me of the move out notice when it was due. Hence, this is the first time I am being forced to pay 2 extra months rent, even though I will not even be living there. I was frantically studying for my nursing boards in addition to working, and didn't realize about the 60 day requirement. They also state they are "pet friendly" and I did not find that to be the case at all. As a newly graduated registered nurse (I passed the exam!), I can barely afford one month's rent, much less rent for two different residences. Now I will be forced to add to my substantial student debt to cover both. I thought that catching Covid twice in the last year and a half through my work on a COVID unit was bad enough, I didn't realize my apartment management would stick it to me too. I guess that's their way of thanking me for my service
