Property Ratings at Covington Pointe Apartments
The current office manager's neglect from us asking them to fix our bathroom after it rained and flooded our bathroom from the upstairs unit - ruined our lives and we lost every material item we owned. We still don't even have a bed. The apartment manager would only give us a new unit if we signed away our right to legal representation. Wild and angry raccoons everywhere in the common areas and laundry room. Plumbing issues often and tenants have to keep up with their own maintenance request updates since the office will not. Worst decision of our lives. I just wouldn't.
I have been here for 2 months and my time at the Covington Pointe has been mixed. The apartments are spacious, the maintenance workers are active, and the other tenants are nice. However, I have been very uncomfortable with the unethical and unprofessional behavior I have been receiving from the management team Information has been withheld from me during this move, I've asked many clarifying questions only to recieve erroneous answers, and I've been put in am extremely stressed position because of this untrustworthy behavior. I can't help but feel uneasy around dealing with this management I have been lied to about fees and apartment readiness, and because I trusted their word I am now in a worse position Learn from my experience, these are nice apartments but do not trust the management team
I have Lived in apartment 1114 for almost 4 years. The layout is so smart, with a big bedroom and a study that can easily serve as a second bedroom, a wonderful open space living and dining room, extra storage on the cover patio... whether one is a recluse - as I am - or likes to entertain, the apartment is homey and inviting. The office staff is wonderful! All my maintenance requests have been solved the same day: the following day at the latest. When, last year, I asked them to replace my double kitchen sink with a stainless steel one, and I offered to contribute to covering the cost, they installed the new sink right away, and refused my money. The whole complex is very quiet and clean; you cannot imagine you are living so close to the Tollway. The only reason I am leaving this place is because I am becoming a home owner. I lived in apartments in Irving and Dallas for the last 20 years, and Covington Pointe is by far the best place I have rented. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
I have absolutely loved living here. We have been here almost 6 years now. The apartments are spacious for the price. The interiors are up to date enough (not brand new like the ritzy places next door but for the price and space it's all worth it!). The staff are friendly. Maintenance has always come in a timely manner to complete anything that's needed done. The trees on the property are gorgeous. It sits next to a creek that is beautiful. It's got a dog park, that while people could learn to better clean up after their pets, has been a safe yard for my pup to play in. I love the location of the apartments. It sits back in a beautiful neighborhood that's really nice to walk in . I highly recommend these apartments.

We're thrilled you're having a wonderful experience at Covington Pointe so far, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your review. If there's anything else we can do to continue to make you feel at home here, be sure to let us know. Looking forward to seeing you around!
I lived in apartment 422 and it was amazing! It had lots of sunlight and had a great view of the main pool. I liked how spacious the apartment was. The den is the size of a full bedroom! It has doors and everything. Maintenance was on top of it the time I lived there. I moved based on extreme circumstances, but would definitely have stayed otherwise. I'd recommend this complex, particularly this apartment, to anyone!
I loved living here for the price it's at the place is so big, the kitchen has so much room to cook and walk around. I had a king size bed with lots of furniture in the room and it still look really big! So I highly recommend this 2 bedroom 2 bath!!
I just want to say that this review is based on my experience and what I've seen since I've been living at Covington Pointe (~6 months). I would expect that other people have had very different experiences. The first thing to note about Covington Pointe is that the apartment complex and units ARE NOT super modern. So if you're looking for new and shiny this might not be the place for you. That being said, the apartment units are certainly older but there's an alluring charm about them and the property. As with most apartment complexes, each unit varies to some degree from what I've seen as a result of whether previous tenants took care of their units or not. For example, the unit I live in has new carpet because the couple living in the unit before me permanently stained much of the existing carpet. I know that other apartments have accent walls (a wall that is painted a different color - one of the possible perks you can choose if you decide to renew your lease). Other variations to expect: cupboard color, appliances (over, microwave), and washer/dryer. Some of the units have washer/dryer connections meaning they are not furnished with a washer/dryer. There are a select few that do have a washer and dryer available in unit but these come at an additional cost. I was fortunate to secure a unit with a W/D which adds about $30 extra a month to my rent (so $360 extra per year). This was very reasonable for me considering the convenience and the fact that I average $20-$30 in laundry cost when using a quarters in a laundry room. In terms of the monthly rent, I for one, think that it's very reasonable for what you get. Basically, you end up with more sq. footage compared to other more modern apartments in the area. I decided to opt for more space instead of fancier furnishings like granite counter tops, upgraded appliances etc. I figure, I'm going to be filling the space with things myself and while a stainless steel fridge, oven, etc are nice, if I'm cramped for living space it really doesn't mean that much in the end - I don't live in my kitchen! Ultimately you'll have to decide for yourself based on what you want :) The property management is very professional and helpful. At times maintenance requests take a little longer to complete than i would like, but, if I do need something pressing completed management will put in a priority request on my behalf. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with my move to Covington Pointe!
This apartment complex is so very nice! Its a bit dated I think it was built in the 80's but the management and staff are so helpful and always there when you need them. I love the space and the location..especially the location.
Cozy, and very reasonably priced apartments. Very well maintained, great infrastructure, quiet and accommodating. Covered parking, nice grounds and nice pools. The best apartment I have ever rented from. The management and staff are so friendly, helpful, and accommodating. By far the best management team of anywhere I have rented from. Timely responses to any maintenance request.
Location(5 Stars)- The complex is conveniently located right off the Dallas North Tollway. It's addressed in Dallas, but it's right down the street from Addison. You could even walk to the restaurants located off Montfort and Beltline if you don't mind walking a mile. It's also close to Addison Kaboom town, if you're interested in seeing the fireworks. The cab or uber ride would be fairly cheap. Complex(4 Stars)- The complex is gated, with two entry points. There are times when the gates can be stuck open for long periods of time. The complex has a pool with beach type chairs and a grill. There is a laundry room near the rear of the complex that has 4-5 washers and the same number of dryers. They take quarters, so if you don't have a washer and dryer, be prepared for that. We live near the front of the complex and it's pretty quiet. The building we live in seems like it's mostly filled with people who work, so we don't have any complaints with noise or people loitering in the parking lot. I would say the complex is very safe and have not heard of any cars being broken into, even with the gate problems. Management(5 Stars)- Veronica is amazing. She is very friendly and seems to remember your face, even though tons of people go in and out of the office. I have not live in a complex with a manager as friendly as her. Apartment unit(4 Stars)- There are 2 one bedroom floor plans and 1 two bedroom floor plan. We live in the Amethyst floor plan and we enjoy it. The storage closet is HUGE. We are saving for a washer and dryer and there will still be plenty of room after we get them. Our only complaint is that the top floor makes our air conditioner work really hard. We set the temperature on 75-76 and it stays on 78. During the hottest hours of the day, the A/C will even rise a degree or 2 even though we still have it set lower. If we were able to sign a lease all over again, we would choose the first or second floor.
