Property Ratings at Crane Village Apartments
OMG, all young adults should stay away from here, I hear their sewage continues backing up here destroying personal property and getting pets sick.
Living here was a horrible experience. Things were broken when I moved in and it smelled of pet urine. Took a week for them to replace the carpet and when I moved out, the same things that were broken when I moved in still had not been fixed. The apartment was so moist that MOLD was growing on all of my things and when I told them, they did nothing. My sink was broken the entire time I lived there and I sent MULTIPLE requests for it to be fixed. Had to do my dishes in the bathtub because the sink wouldn't drain and smelled awful. Staff was very unhelpful and unresponsive. People would randomly come into my apartment for maintenance or weekly pest spraying (which only made more bugs appear) and half the time I wasn't alerted that anyone was coming and only would know someone was there if I happened to be home at that time. Who knows how many times people just walked into my apartment. Bugs everywhere all the time. Walls way too thin that I could always hear my neighbors talking or walking around. Overall I would never recommend living here to anyone. Way better options for the price.
Property Manager at Crane Village Apartments, Responded To This Review
We are so sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience at Crane Village. We strive to maintain not only clean and functioning apartments, but also to maintain great staff/resident relations. We always try and make sure that any maintenance order that is placed is completed to each residents liking and that any remaining issues are followed up with. We also follow a strict policy of notifying residents prior to entering their apartments, unless it is a resident request, or in the event of an emergency. We would be very interested to hear about your experience first hand, as we are always thankful to have feedback that can better our community. Please feel free to call us if you would be interested in setting up a meeting and we can discuss how we can better our procedures going forward.
Although the 1 bedroom looked fine at first, things started to deteriorate very quickly. Front office staff and management, especially Rich, are very incompetent and refuse to acknowledge the issues. Run and look elsewhere.
I have lived here for almost two years. Have had stupid problems like a small leak and hearing my neighbors party once. that are always fixed fast and a noise letter is sent to the neighbors without them saying it was me ( this was great because i don't want to be known as a mean neighbor ) The grass is always cut and looks good , not gonna lie sometimes there is dog poop, but they really do try to keep up with everything and some people are just irresponsible . Overall great location for being a newcomer to Pittsburgh like myself and not to bad.
Apartment complex is pretty nice, a couple grocery stores in the area, close to PGH. Allot of the utilities are included, and all the amenities are free. The apartments have carpet though, I prefer hardwood floors. Everyone in the office seems nice, maintenance and grounds always driving around the property and says hi.
These are great apartments in a great area. They are a bit older and that brings some issues, but the maintenance and office staff are always friendly and quick to respond to such issues. The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. I live in the city but once I step on my balcony I feel like I am in a cabin in the woods. It's quiet and peaceful with the deer. turkey and other wildlife I see walking around. Just a quick 5 minute drive into the city and you are ready to enjoy the night out! Stay home and enjoy the pool, playground and tennis courts Crane Village has! I live alone here and could not feel safer anywhere else.
Office staff was nice. The overall apartment community is pretty good. close to a Downtown and the price of the apartment is reasonable.
I moved in to this apartment complex in March, and within 5 months I have lost hot water 7 times so far. I cannot get out of my lease early, and they basically told me it was my responsibility to know if the hot water goes out, and if it does, that I need to call them to have it fixed every time. This is a long term issue and they refuse to correct the problem. DEFINITELY NOT renewing my lease!
