Property Ratings at Creekside
This place it’s a nightmare. Hidden fees, trash everywhere, rude management. Avoid this place at all costs.
My wife and I moved into this complex about a year and a half ago. Our experience: -Parking has been a nightmare. . We have been blocked in so many times its almost a parody. One morning, I literally couldn't leave for work because someone blocked me in. Management is pretty blase about it so far as I've noticed. Also there is no parking. You get a spot with your apt, and then you pay if you want another one. But there is zero guest parking, and street parking isn't really an option for the area. We have pretty much stopped inviting friends over because there just no where for them to park. -Garbage : the complex always looks filthy due to the overflowing dumpsters, which are stuffed to the gills virtually every day. -Safety: there are police calls into the complex a few times a week. It's disconcerting, to say the least. -Facilities: for a period of almost half a year tenants had to go to the local post office to collect mail because the mail boxes had been broken into, despite promises that there is a security team patrolling nightly. Management was not in a rush to fix as this happened previously and they let it sit then too. They also use Luxor boxes for packages. My experience with this has been that shippers will deliver everything to those boxes regardless of size. I've had furniture dumped there. Management has done nothing about this issue. Generally the community is also unpleasant. Neighbors block you in, let their dogs defecate wherever without cleaning. The place wasn't this bad in the beginning. It had gone downhill in my estimation. We have asked to be let out of our lease but this is another Corp apartment complex so I'm guessing the answer will be no.
Pros : The management. They've helped when literally everything possible broke in my apartment. Washer/dryer stopped working and they replaced it within 2 days. Cons : The community, the lack of caring by residents, the fees (parking, 5 days a week trash pickup that's useless, shared water, list goes on forever). The worst aspect of living here is probably the residents. There is so much trash everywhere; chicken bones, modelo bottles, endless streams of other trash. Three days ago a small mattress appeared behind someone's balcony and it is still there today. Small poop left all over the place from dogs even though there are poop pickup stations throughout the complex. Basically what you expect from living in low income, except it's not.
It has been 6 months that we are staying here. My apartment reeks of pests/roaches to the level that we cannot keep any food outside. There are pests even inside electrical appliances such as refrigerators. Considering the health hazards associated with it, the issue is not given enough priority. Please do not move in unless you want to see roaches crawling all over your apartment.
I think the title is self explanatory. The unit itself was ok, the community is poorly clean, but the worst part is the economical, they start by charging you fees that are not explained at the beginning, they continue by trying to increase your rent at 15% and when you move out they fail at refunding the deposit. They really act like crooks.
Pros: Close to running trail with bay view Front parking lot Bug free apartments Close to freeway entrance Cons: Not close to cal train 10% higher price than other apartments in the same area
I have only just moved in but so far one of the better places I have seen. Everything looks to be in good working order. The Washer Dryer in unit is pretty old looking but at least it has one at all I guess. But if it does break they are supposed to put a brand new one in anyways. All the amenities are being upgraded so all-in-all it is pretty good so far.
