We have policies, like our parking policy, in place to maintain the safety of every one of our residents. Renewal increases do occur as you mention as well, however, our management has worked to ensure that increases are minimal. We are also aware of, and implementing solutions for, our maintenance improvement suggestions. These changes came about from the partnership of management and residents. The property managers are completely incompetent and can't handle the simplest tasks. They kicked us out when my wife was 8 months pregnant because they "had a waiting list of people willing to pay more". Our apartment is 43 years old and has asbestos in the construction which they refuse to address. We had a slab leak in the plumbing as soon as we moved in. They use the cheapest vendors they can find for carpet and flooring. We have nails sticking out of the carpet. We've had to have the kitchen flooring replaced 4 times because it's terrible quality and it already is failing again. This complex is a last resort and should be treated as such.

My apartment is on the second floor. I have a small balcony, which is nice. I have a 1-bedroom that meets all of my needs. I'd prefer a small window in my bathroom, but the fan is sufficient. It does get warm during the day but the overhead circulates the air to keep it cool. The bedroom is good size. I have ample closet space. I wish the kitchen were larger. For what I pay, I have no real complaints. The water takes awhile to heat up but there is plenty of hot water. It is a relatively quiet complex. I pay my rent and schedule maintenance calls online. I use public transportation to get to work. My place is within riding distance of the local commuter train and transportation center.

My first apartment since moving to California. Reasonably priced for the area. Great pool with spa and barb-a-que area . Has a nice creek view which gives it a nice country feel within the city .
