Regarded as the Horse Capital of the World, Lexington is home to a number of horse farms and all kinds of equestrian events. The second largest city in Kentucky, Lexington maintains a small-town feel and progressive atmosphere thanks to an involved community and the presence of three colleges — the University of Kentucky, Transylvania University, and Bluegrass Community and Technical College.
There is something for everyone in Lexington. Sports fans enjoy the horse races at the Red Mile and Wildcats basketball games at Rupp Arena. Outdoor enthusiasts delight in the city’s thriving cycling community, as well as hiking the many trails in and near Lexington. History buffs relish access to the Mary Todd Lincoln House and Ashland: the Henry Clay Estate. Art lovers savor the plentiful art galleries, including Lexington Art League, Institute 193, and the Lyric Theatre and Cultural Center. Shoppers appreciate having the largest mall in Kentucky, Fayette Mall.

Property Ratings at Crescent at Shadeland Apartments
Had some other issues (not related to the property) so I ended up moving but was a nice place with few utility issues. Pricing super fair and only downside is the amenities are at the other properties. Laundry room is on site and never had to wait to do laundry. Only downside is any service requests I have submit took a while to get done (none were urgent) but still would've liked them done sooner
Very quick and easy process of finding an apartment.
Very very noisy paper thin walls and non insulated floors where every movement sounds like elephants running, video game shooting echoing, neighbors slamming doors and yelling at those in their units heard clearly. The flooring is vinyl plank tile, not wood as stated and it slides around and doesn't meet the wall and has many gaps where it was slapped together cheaply and cut too short- made to look fancy, but no work ethic and feels and looks cheap there’s even mushy uneven spots of the floor where its not level or flat. They have constant crews working on the exterior making additional mess and constant loud noise daily for siding, drywall, and paint to give the appearance of “nice“ curb appeal so they can charge so much rent, but it’s very very overpriced for what you don’t get. Additionally they “require” you every month to pay extra for fees in addition to the over priced rent. There’s always a lot of peoples‘ garbage or furniture left outside, or out back when they move-and it feels very trashy. Overall, the attempts at making it look “worth” the cost fall very short because of how cheaply put together and lacks workmanship or quality. A high price to pay for not much in return other than a roof and a door with gaps under so the cold air can come in and the heat go out. The laundry facilities additionally cost a lot per load and don’t clean the clothes well and it usually smells pretty rancid in the building. Unfortunately no peace and quiet and no return for the expense. Disappointing but a true fact. I hope this helps others in making their decisions on their home space BEFORE they experience an overpriced cheap dormitory.
One of the best place to live close to UK campus. All units are clean with new appliances. The new management is pretty responsible and takes care of everything. The price is fairly high but it's worth it.
PROS: The rent is very fair for the location, and for the most part, they don't "nickel and dime" you for every little service (exception- laundry, see below). Maintenance is quick to respond to any issues. They have done some good work around the property in the last year and a half, like repairing the decks/balconies and freshening up the paint in the parking areas. CONS: The rental office has had a fair amount of turnover- I've lived here for just over 1.5 years, and they're on their third property manager. They were slow to arrange snowplows in the heavy snow this past winter, leading to one of my neighbors literally flagging down passing trucks with plow attachments to ask if they would pass the plow through the parking lot so we could get out to work. The walls and floors are thin, so you can hear a lot if your neighbors don't keep it down. No washers and dryers in the one bedrooms, and the laundry facility is NOT free- coin operated and pretty high per load. Closet space is limited, and I don't use the outdoor closet on my deck, because it smells very musty and moldy. I don't want anything ruined by keeping it out there. Overall, though, despite some ups and downs, it's a decent place to live in a good location.
This is a great place to rent if you want to be close to everything but enjoy the peace and quite of hearing birds chirping. The rent is a little on the high side for the small space but it has everything you need and is a safe, quite neighborhood that all my friends complement when they visit. For living only minutes from Common Wealth Stadium the area is really like living in a non-college town. The mall is a short 10 minute drive and there is a Malone's only 4 minutes away for your fine dining experience. My main recommendation comes in the fact that as a young lady living alone I have never felt unease coming home late at night. Oh, and did I mention, the apartments are pet friendly!
