Crest at Brier Creek

This place was wonderful up until 3 years ago. I would stay far away from this company who manages this property and do your research and you will see every property managed by them here in the carolinas is a aweful experience.

I’ve lived here going on 4 years, the first two years were great no issues, but these past two years have been atrocious. They took the gates to the entrances down and ever since then my car has been broken into twice in the same year management didn’t offer anything but an empty sorry. My A/C was broken for almost three months straight, I literally had to call every week twice a week to get them to move forward with getting it fixed. The neighborhood has really taken a fall crime is increasing and RPD barely offers any assistance I don’t feel safe around here anymore it’s ridiculous. My lease is up in may and I’m out of here I definitely do not recommend.

First of all, the pictures of it being a gated community should be taken down, as the gates were a few months ago. They removed the second lock, that was added security. Increased the rent and added extra fees, so I did not renew my lease. Water flooded my apartment from it being power washed, and another reason they could not figure out. The manager basically said she could not help me. I cleaned up the nasty water, and had to throw out my mop. There are so many work orders, maintenance won't make it to you for a few days. The pool is now closed every Monday, and whenever they want to close it for "cleaning". I was on the first floor, and the person above me was so loud. I knew the walls were thin, but it's so thin you hear their phone vibrating. Don't get me started on the trash situation. They do not take pride in making sure that area is clean daily or weekly. Lastly, they charge for marks on the wall, and a mandatory cleaning fee. Basically, be prepared to say good bye to your security deposit, for what they consider "damages". Don't expect to read about these additional charges before move in, because it's nowhere in your lease (I checked). Moving is already stressful, don't add to your stress and live here. This was my second time at this apartment, and I'll never make that mistake again.

I recently moved in, been here about a month, so far this place is leaving much to be desired. I should've had them give me a tour of the property. First off the property is littered with trash. It's in the bushes and around the grounds. The next thing is this place is listed as dog friendly however they do not have bags at the dog pick up stations. Speaking with a tenant who has lived here for 6 months she stated they're are always running out. The garbage cans underneath are constantly overflowing. Due to this we have dog crap all over the grounds and no bags for anyone to be able to pick it up. I brought this up to management and they stated they would be refilled on Thursday July 14th as they'd been having an issue getting the bag in but they have a multi-month shipment coming in. Thursday came and went and no bags refilled and the bins underneath still overflowing. Next is the pool. The pool has been closed everyday since I moved in besides the weekend of the July 1st then abruptly closed again. They now have changed the pool hours to 9am-6pm Monday through Friday. 10am-5pm on Saturday. Closed on Sunday. They have cut the hours so that if you work a regular job you're no longer able to utilize the pool besides on Saturdays. The reason for this is that they're blaming rise in COVID cases and vandalism in the gated community. The hours were drastically cut but the fees for amenities stay the same. I brought this up to them as well and they made it seem it was out of their hands as if they're not the management company for the grounds. I will gladly change my reviews once management handles the issues consistently.

The management team and the maintaince staff is always pleasent and helpful. This is a great environment to live in!

Love Love Love my apartment! Great location, with great conveniences to restaurants, shops, wine store and so much more. Blessed to have nice neighbors. Very very nice management team and super responsive maintenance team.

Location is great. Neighbors can be quite noisy, and management isn't very attentive or friendly. Rent increases with each lease but no upgrades are made to appliances, etc.

Have been here less than a week and front office and maintenance have been more responsive and quick here than my last community, and friendly !

I've been here since 2017 and have had a few different Management companies. Bell by far is the best thing that could have happened to The Crest at Brier Creek! The team is professional and they work together to keep this community looking top notch. We have food trucks often with a big variety to choose from. Hands down I'd recommend this community to anyone looking for a new home.

Beautiful complex. Super close to the plazas without too much noise. Airport is very close but i love watching the planes. The cemetery next door is stunning and a great place to walk around.

The staff at the Crest has done a great job of demonstrating a customer first mindset. The team has been responsive and timely with any requests that I a may have. I also like how the team continued to find ways to have food trucks at the community while still practicing social distancing.

I have lived here for 2 years now and I love it. The location is incredibly convenient. The maintenance staff is friendly and responsive. The staff has also been very helpful. The graveyard within walking distance has also been a helpful fitness asset during the pandemic, as many residents are using it as a walking track. Would highly recommend to anyone trying to move to Brier Creek!

The Crest at Brier Creek has been a good living experience overall. Close to shopping and the complex is pretty quiet.

Overall a decent property. There is a lack of communication with the staff and minor repairs to be done to improve the property. Its a quiet and clean community for the most part.

This is a nice apartment complex! I love the shape of the units, too. They're very home-y. The staff is very nice and helpful. The pool is very nice, and the gym is clean and useful. The only downside is that you can hear the above and below neighbors very clearly.

I have been here for a month now, it is a great complex very quiet, I live on a bottom floor and I cannot hear my neighbors above me at all. That was very important to me coming from another complex where you could hear people running up and down the stairs. I love the layout of my apartment.

I just moved in but I am loving the community so far! Office staff was super helpful and friendly!

Living at the Crest was pretty good when we first moved here, but after new management took over it kind of declined. The gate for some reason is never fully working properly for a good week. The trash service we pay $30 for have left garbage all over the road and we have to drive around it. They sometimes left our trash and didn't come to pick it up (on the days they're scheduled to). The post office blamed the property for not coming up with a good way of having large packages delivered since COVID19. Pest control isn't able to come in the apartment while I was getting big bites inside at night and day...another thing we pay for. The biggest issue is the AC that kept going out as of 3 months ago. The maintenance team had been out to fix it about 4 times now. With it being 96, and nineties for weeks, there should be a better system if they can't be fixed before the end of the day it breaks. The stove had been terrible pretty much since we moved in. We asked if we could've gotten it replaced with a brand new stove that was sitting outside the apartment next to us (for about a month), but that didn't happen. The coils are not leveled, and we have to keep fiddling with 2 of them to work. We mostly use one burner because it works the best. When we have to cook more than one things, it's not very convenient. Finally, we have the most annoying people living below us, who bangs on their ceiling if we decide we want to go in the kitchen at night. Honestly, it's not either one of us faults the floor is just terrible. It squeaks and apparently is too loud to walk like a normal person. This has just been one too many negative experience here.

The Crest was once a top notch when it came to the front office but with the changes in management the level of service has declined. Over time more trash piles up on outside of the one trash compactor, parking is horrible, and although I remained a resident it was because the rent didn't go up and I didn't feel like making a long move based on my situation.

The living experience at The Crest has exceeded my expectations!!

Its been about 15 years since Ive lived in an apartment and Im so glad I chose The Crest at Brier Creek. The staff and overall apartment community has been great!!

I have lived here for about a year now and love this apartment community! It's true management has changed however I have no complaints. You cannot beat this location - 10 minutes to the airport, 20 minutes to downtown Raleigh, Cary or Durham, and right next to tons of shopping and restaurants. The pool is also amazing. I will be renewing my lease.

I really love living here! The staff is very nice and they get things done! I love my view of trees. My balcony is the perfect place to drink my coffee in the morning. I can't wait to use the pool after this crazy coronavirus stuff is done!

The property was great when Hawthorne managed it but every since Bell has taken over it has gone straight downhill. The gates haven't worked in 4 months. Maintenance is horrible, staff lacks any personality what so ever and there is trash everywhere.

New Management took over almost a year ago and it has been problem after problem ever since. I have lived here for 3 years. Prior management made you feel like family and this new management team is clueless. Had ceiling fan placed by prior management free of charge on move-in (because the bedrooms do not include them), now they are telling me I have to hire a contractor to get it taken down ($75)! They lose paperwork and send you notices in mail so they can charge you fees. I could write more, but you probably get the picture. Choose somewhere else!

The cleanliness certainly is not up to par. We've done a lot but 9 months in and still discovering new issues. Dust on walls and floorboards painted over instead of cleaned -- moldy water reservoir in back of fridge -- a dozen beer pong balls stashed back there too. 1st week, we did a cleaning and found hair in our bath drains, that if they were pulled together, would be the size of a tennis ball. They also didn't properly clean our carpets -- based on the quality of the the other things I'm sure they weren't steamed or sanitized.

This Crest is an overall great apartment complex. Its only about 3 years old and everything has been kept up to date. I have had some issues with not getting some little stuff fixed right away, such as my master bedroom door closes by itself. That's not a big issue though. The staff here is amazing and have been helping us out the best they can. They we did the entire pool area and it looks great. The only down fall of this apartment is that it is right be a memorial garden. So if you are on the wrong side of the apartment complex your back patio could be looking at the graves. Once you get use to it and seeing funerals weekly it's not that bad. Also its a great place to go for a run, walk, or to take your dog.

I enjoy living at The Crest. Everything I need is less than 10 minutes away. I love the quietness of the community and Ialso feel safe. The office staff responds quickly to maintenance requests and they're always providing entertainment for the community such as food trucks on Wednesday's, pool parties and other meet and greet opportunities. The only thing I dislike about the community is the limited parking.

Great apartment space with modern look. Fairly new. Apartment staff rocks!
