Property Ratings at Crestview Apartments
I have more con's than pros with living here. I was there from 2018-2022. The property changed owners 3 times and issues where never fixed or shrugged off or took weeks to even have fixed. We had a problem with squirrels in the walls and mice. Doing Laundry was a nightmare machines smelling moldy and or not working. Upon leaving this place it was even worse. Took them weeks to even get an answer regarding the apartment and I had to reach out every single time after being told someone would call me back. When they did call back they asked me if I was interested in living here. Which was not the call back I expected. The only pro I would have is that it is near the highway and never had issues with parking.
Pros: -Relatively spacious units. -Close to West haven downtown and Boston Post Rd. -There is a laundry room per floor. -Pool parking available. Cons: -This building has a serious mice problem. No matter what you do, they will show up in your apartment and poop all over. In one apartment, they nested in the closet. -Maintenance is mediocre. You call many times until someone shows up to do a bad job and leave a mess behind. -Most tenants have annoying dogs that will bark all day long when their owners are not home. If you are noise sensitive, avoid this place. - Parking is ample, but strangers park at night and the management is doing nothing about it. - The application fee is $50. They run two background checks that they do not share with you and negatively affect your credit history for two years. - Most units do not have hard wood flooring, which allows noise to easily travel from the unit below or above. - No storage is available. Overall, the building could become great if the management paid some attention to it and dealt with the issues mentioned above.
