For a city that didn't even have a stoplight until 2007, Kyle has become one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas. Part of that is due to its location -- it sits just south of Austin on I-35, roughly an hour northeast of San Antonio. Today, Kyle doesn't just have stoplights -- it's also the location of Seton Medical Center Hays and several other medical facilities, as well as Austin Community College Hays, Austin Community College-Hays Campus, several shopping plazas, and a terrific downtown.
Kyle is home to beautiful parks, a golf course, and several community festivals and events. After moving to a Kyle apartment, be sure to attend the Founders Parade, Kyle Hogwash, and Kyle Field Day. Kyle's 600 acres of park space includes Steeplechase Park along Plum Creek and the Lake Kyle and Plum Creek Preserve.

Property Ratings at Cromwell at Plum Creek
Cromwell and it’s staff are a joke. They say they value community and families but all they really care about is money. We moved in July 2021. Everyone was nice and super accommodating. Shortly after a new neighbor moved in below us. We are a family of 4 with 2 young children. The first day they moved in said neighbor knocked on the door to say we were being too loud at 4pm in the afternoon. Second time said neighbor banged on our roof with a broom -again middle of the day. All incidents were reported to the office and any further communication was to be done through the office. Which I always complied with. Please also note quiet hours are from 10pm- 7am. The last and final straw with me was when the said neighbor called the police on my young children for playing because she worked over night. Again, we were not violating the quiet hours. Furthermore, the police never actually talked to me because it’s a noise complaint for absolutely nothing. Which I proceeded to hear said neighbor on her balcony talking about calling the police. Which then she decided to take it upon herself to knock on my door. After 4 separate incidents I let her know she was not to come up to my apartment again. Resulting in her feeling threatened and we were asked to leave the community in 3 days. 3 days with two kids to accommodate a young woman who had completely unreasonable living standards. Which also came out of the mouth of an employee at the Cromwell. Who also looked me in my face 10 days prior and told me that we were okay and not to worry. They told us they couldn’t work with us and had to go through the lawyer who contacted us. However, said lawyer never returned any of calls. So we complied and left like we were asked. The day we left the said neighbor was outside in her car for two straight hours recording and laughing while my children and I leaving. I emailed the complex to let them know and of course got no response. They however have no problem emailing and not going through a lawyer to reach out for money. We were never late on our rent and always did what was expected of us as residents. The market was crazy at the time and it was very hard for us to find a house which is why we went with an apartment. For a complex and the staff to let allow a family to be harassed and take no action is unacceptable.

My wife and I have lived here for about a month now and we love the location, property, neighbors, and the staff. Lyndsie, Desiree, and Corrin are caring friendly and quick to respond to any need. The property is new and the unlimited use of the business center and conference rooms are an added bonus for any business executive. The exercise room is all new with modern exercise equipment. We just can’t say enough about this property! Can’t forget Patrick who responds to any maintenance request big or small. Love it!
