Cross Creek Village

gnats & mold!!!!!! i’ve lived at multiple apartment complexes and this one was by far the worst, and the highest i’ve paid in rent. do not live here unless you want to be in a constant battle with gnats and mold!! i never have food out and take the trash out every single day. considering the amount i was paying to be constantly dealing with these issues, and the office won’t do anything lol. 0/0 recommend living here, unless you want to have to look over your shoulder when cooking food to watch for a gnat.

Cross creek village is beautiful! It is well kept, and maintenance is always on top of any issue you may have. The office staff is attentive and helpful with any questions you may have! I called cross creek home for 2 years and only moved because i had to!

*First lie: They gave me a lease for a 12 month lease, when I specifically told them (Colby) I wanted a 6 month lease. I signed the lease under the understanding that it was a 6 month lease. The leasing agent (Colby) quickly flipped through the lease telling me where to sign and did NOT go over the lease date. Then, when I asked for a copy of the lease, they didn't give it to me until 2 months after I had moved in, and that's when I saw the error. They said that they couldn't verify (by email) that I wanted a 6 month lease. Of course they wouldn't have an email because I talked to Colby over the phone and then in the office. *Second lie: Since they would not change my lease date because of their mistake (surprise! surprise! Colby couldn't remember if I had wanted a 6 month lease! How convenient!), I was forced to terminate my lease early. I was told that I would not have to pay the termination fee (equal to 1 month's rent), if someone moved in after I moved out. They charged me anyway and said that their earlier explanation was incorrect. *Do not move here. They will NOT make corrections to THEIR mistakes and you will end up paying for it. I would SPECIFICALLY ask them a question to make sure that I would know what to expect. They would tell me one thing and then weeks later, either say that they couldn't remember or that they didn't say it.

Staff and amenities are great. I just rented the theater room this past weekend and my guests and I had a great time! Thanks so much for making my home the best place I've ever lived. -Alex J

Expect to have fees tacked to your account all the time. Expect the office to be rude to you on a regular.

Cross Cross Creek Village is a great place to live. The staff is very professional and friendly. They go above and beyond to ensure quality living. Great apartments and amenities. Love that it's a pet-friendly complex. RS

Best apartments in Hattiesburg! I love the door side trash pickup and amenities!

I love living at Cross Creek! Our 2 bedroom apartment is nice and spacious! We even have Valet trash removal ! and our gym is 24 hours :) who needs a gym membership when you have the convenience of going when you want right at your doorsteps :) the apartment staff is friendly and always available to help pelt answer questions. I absolutely loved my stay at cross creek village! Sindy and Michelle are the best! They were very professional and handled things appropriately and efficiently. The environment was quiet and very comfortable. The amenities are awesome! I have lived in quite a few apartments in town and cross creek village is by far the best in my opinion. I would definitely recommend cross creek village to anyone who is looking for a safe, quiet, and friendly environment!

Awesome apartments, Friendly Staff. Moving to Mississippi is a lot to get used to (good god, the heat) but getting into and living in cross creek has been a joy. After scouting apartments in the area for a few days this complex met my needs best. My main criteria was having somewhere close to work where I didn't have to stress about apartment issues like noise, crime and management issues. I couldn't be happier about my apartment unit. The AC works very well and the ceiling fans move a lot of air around keeping it very comfortable inside. It definitely meets my expectations of a deluxe apartment with the sleek modern hardware, stone kitchen counters and washer/dryer. Other notes: the free garbage collection outside your door is great. The gates around the community are closed after 5PM but can be accessed with the keycard they provide. The management have been great throughout the move in process. Sindy in particular helped me hugely sort out a lot of my cross-country moving issues.

Awesome staff! True definition of luxury living. Move in process was super easy and staff took care of set up; including recommending movers. Look no further :)

Living here at Cross Creek Village has been a pleasant experience! The staff is nice and helpful every time I call or stop by the office! They always go over and beyond with assisting me with any questions I may have. The maintenance team is very professional and always come within a few hours whenever I call the office. This is the first place I've ever lived that will replace my light bulbs, how nice is that? That's a total win in my book!! The finishes of the apartment are very modern and my granite counter top island is my favorite. If you are looking for luxury living this is it! This complex is so conveniently close to the Mall, Target, and numerous restaurants! I couldn't have chosen any better.

Management does not handle any issues even when brought to their attention. Including multiple residents being bitten by dogs (no leash rules enforced)and dog waste everywhere to trash bags constantly sitting in breezeways with juices seeping out. Even after months of letting management know still no action.

Staff is rude. Every time time i ask a question or need to speak with the front desk they have a really bad attitude. Really wanted to like this place, its a shame that the staffing is so poor.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have your best interest in mind! These apartment are safe and very nice. I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends who are looking for a new, comfortable apartment!

Cross Creek Village Apartments are the nicest apartments in Hattiesburg, by far!! There are so many great qualities and aspects about them. Awesome pool, super cool workout room, movie room, and more!!

Just took a tour of this apartment complex today and to say that I am pleased with what they have to offer is an understatement. It really does go above and beyond my expectations. This complex has so many great amenities and I especially love how the units feel more so like a home than an apartment. Michelle, the Property Manager was so much help and was extremely courteous and professional as well. I'm very pleased with my experience with Cross Creek Village.

We went to tour these apartments today, and we were sold. Very spacious and much attention to detail to ensure that it feels like a home. The location is so convenient and overall seems very safe. Beautiful kitchen with stainless steel appliances and hardwood flooring. lots of storage space! We are definitely looking into renting here.

Because it's new it's super clean but the people make all of the difference. Emily has held my hand and answered 1 million and 1 of my silly questions without hesitation. I am renting a 1 bath/1 bedroom apartment and I have to say that this process has been easy and smooth. With many options to choose from in this college town, I did not feel like a number and I wouldn't dare allow this breath of fresh air to go unnoticed. I recently moved into Cross Creek Village and we love it! Everyone was so nice since the beginning and was so helpful. My favorite part of living here is having the pet park near my apartment. I love being able to walk outside and let my dog run in their park. It makes it so much easier! I highly recommend living here, especially if you have a pup like me!

We recently moved to Cross Creek Village and absolutely love living here. The fitness center is one of my favorite things and is open after hours, so really works well with my work schedule. Everything here is really nice. The staff is very helpful when we need them. I would definitely refer my friends to live here. Excited about being so close to shopping at Target, Bed and Bath and eating at all the close great restaurants.

I am thankful that the Property manager took time out to respond to my review that was written on July 31, 2016; however, Even though she has stated that the problem was resolved within 24 hours it was NOT and has NOT been. Per the property manager our AC is normal even though she initially said that it was normal when she heard it the first time. She quickly changed her mind once I posted a video of the noise on social media. She called me and told me that the problem was fixed because it does not make an annoying sound when it shut off. It might be normal to her BUT it is not normal to me OR my friends, co-workers, and family. I really wish that she would have followed up with me like she did to this post because she would have known that the AC still has not been working that well. On August the 4th my husband informed her that our AC was still not working correctly and once again she dismissed our concerns. We have yet to hear from them or have anyone come and look at our AC from Cross Creek since the first complaint that I wrote about on my previous post. As a result, of her concern I attempted to call Linda Jackson with Maestri-Murrell Commercial Real Estate on August 4th at 4:42pm but she did not answer. I left a voicemail with Linda and she still hasn't returned my call. Not only do I have problems with my AC but so do other tenants. One tenant wrote me directly and said, "...KNOW how frustrating it can be to hear the annoying tick ticka tick noise every time your air conditioner really gets going Also I feel like I need to say this: I am in no way affiliated with Cross Creek or their rental company. I just live here and got tired of the wait to fix my AC." With that being said, I want to make it clear that I absolutely love my apartment. I just feel that for the amount that we pay in rent, we should be respected as PAYING tenants no matter the size of the problem. I'm not sure if they opened too soon and wasn't ready to deal with an influx of issues without the proper manpower; Or they just lack in providing employees and property managers who take an interest in their tenants issues. I'm not asking them to kiss my feet when I come to them. At least "ACT" like you care about our living situations.

I am advising/warning all apartment seekers, present and future, to think wisely before considering Cross Creek Village in Hattiesburg Mississippi owned by Maestri-Murrell Commercial Real Estate as a living option. I recently moved in and have notified them more than seven times that my AC is making this extremely loud noise and they keep on dismissing me. They have given me the run around all day. I have not only contacted the staff at Cross Creek but I have also called Maestri-Murrell Commercial Real Estate and they too have been absolutely NO help. They keep on telling me to call Cross Creek's Property Manager and whenever I ask for his or her number they tell me that they don't know it. I have explained to them at least several times that the noise is so loud that my dog is unable to stay at the apartment without being a nuisance and it is causing me not to be able to sleep. After about seven or more calls the regional manager finally called me and said that she wished that I had called earlier and of course I explained that I not only stopped by the office at about 4:35ish but that I had also called numerous times about the problem. She explained that she would have someone come and listen to it tomorrow because of night safety concerns. I totally understood that; however, if someone had done what they were suppose to at 4:35 when I initially complained I would have been a little more understanding. At about 10:00pm the Cross Creek Manager knocked on my door and asked to listen to my extremely loud AC and told me that it was NORMAL. She explained that all of the units have extremely powerful AC units. I am overly sure that it isn't NORMAL but even if it is and I am just not use to it.... I feel as if the first person that I expressed my concerns with face-to-face would have called maintenance and or acknowledged the complaint and came to my apartment I wouldn't have had to deal with this problem for this length of time. I am writing this not to bash them BECAUSE the apartments are very pretty BUT to let possible future residents know that if you EVER have a problem here at CROSS CREEK to expect to get the RUN AROUND.
