Property Ratings at Cross Lakes Apartments
This is the nicest property in Anderson. The manager and front office staff are so kind and helpful. The property is really pretty and kept up.
This place is good. Yeah, there has been a lot of staff changes, but the manager is still there and she is great. Maintenance works to get things done as fast as they can. The property looks nice, too. Don't believe everything you read online when it says this place is bad.
Moved in a while ago, nice place, nice staff. Affordable for the location.
Cross lakes has been a great place to live this past year. Since Katie took over and this new company came, it's gotten even better. Maintenance is awesome, the new leasing is great, manager actually cares about us and the apartments are nice. I feel safe here.
I must say I use to love living at Cross Lakes. I have lived her for about 3 years and have seen some changes. We have yet another new company over our home which makes the 3rd one in 3 years. The latest change in the office is the worst. Our new property manager who use to be the assistant manager sucks as a property manager. The property has gone downhill in the last 6 months and the manager now doesn't care about the people that live here. She is such a liar and I cannot wait until I can move. I need to finish my lease and I'm out of here.
Whatever you do don't trust these people!! They do one thing and say another!! I was evicted out of my appt due to health issues and loss of job. After court I called the office spoke to the assistant property manager and the manager they told me not to turn off my utilities as they would need them to inspect the apt and do repairs. They would have them turned off and transferred within 48 hrs!!! Now I'm losing my light bill deposit because they failed to do so!!! Good thing I can shut my gas off by phone. Anderson City Utilities isnt sophisticated enough to do this!!! You have to come in or fax a form in. The maintence team is hard to keep there. I had 2 major leaks in my time there of 4 yrs from the upstairs apt!!! Then they had the nerve to charge me for a leak that I reported back in January when I signed the new lease!! They back date everything so that they dont lose their government subsidy and be fined. This is the most unprofessional, unethical, and unmaintained property in Anderson. It only gives you the illusion of better living because it's on a decent side of town. I'll be deducting my light bill from the final billing of damages because you failed to do your job and lied on the damage report. It's a pleasure of NOT doing business with you!!!
The amenities listed are a joke. Pool has been open 2 months in 3 years. They will not be opening it at all this year, because it's not in the budget. The lease states they have 60 days on all repairs and they use that to their upmost advantage. The rules change daily with no notice and tenants are expected to be mind readers. Not go by the rules and notices explained to them, upon moving in and are clearly stated on the wall, but whatever the joyful property manager decides today's rules are going to be. Run!! I wish someone would have warned me!!!
One thing broke after another. It would take two weeks plus to even get someone to come fix the problems. Went with out water in the kitchen for 5 weeks! I have a 6 month old! Maintenance fixed toilets with bread ties. Mold in showers, not updated at all, locked my clothes in the laundry Matt because "someone" locked it two hours early. Pool wasn't opened until summer was almost over. Worst customer service ever!!! Wouldn't live here if you paid me!
Currently in a two bedroom, one bath and it's huge (900 sq ft) with lots of closet space! The bathroom is pretty large and even have laundry hook ups. Sad washer/dryer doesn't come with the apartments tho.
