Property Ratings at Crossing at Riverlake Apartments
Constant issues with bugs such as roaches, pitcher bugs, and grasshoppers in the unit and the exterminator has been in and out of my apartment three times to spray since I moved in August 2023. My vehicle was vandalized in the apartment complex. Three neighbors' vehicles were also victims of theft and vandalism. The apartment said they don't feel the need for security cameras or security. The office lets tenants get away with stuff such as allowing vehicles to park with their vehicles sticking out and it's difficult for other tenants to park in their reserved spots. Sometimes tenants can't even park because it's blocking the other parking space. I can go on about this. I can't wait for my lease to be up to move out of here. Beware of renting here.
I lived in apartments throughout the Greater Sacramento area, from South Sac, to Rancho, to Folsom. My wife and I have lived at The Crossing for over 7 years now, and we are legitimately sad to be moving out due to a recent home purchase. - The "maintenance guys" at this property are leaps and bounds better than any others I've ever encountered at previous apartments. I have never felt like they or the management has dragged their feet on a single maintenance request or issue in my entire time here. In one case, a more major repair required management to work with contractors, but they still got the job done! - Lisa, the property manager, has always been helpful in assisting us with any issues we ran into during our time here, financial or otherwise. In fact, she has been especially accommodating as we move out of our unit to our new home, working with us on pro-rated rent and lease-break fees so we don't feel overwhelmed at escrow close. - Like most apartment complexes, neighbors tend to keep themselves. However, for those with whom we have formed relationships, we will dearly miss you! We have never had any issues with neighbors, or any other tenants for that matter. - This property is as quiet and peaceful as it gets. In fact, one of the biggest things we'll miss when we move is the sense of peace and security we've had throughout our years living here. Being able to leave our porch door open (many of the porches are fully-screened so no bugs!) for the delta breeze in the evenings without tons of noise pollution was wonderful. - The grounds are extremely well-maintained. We often got comments from friends about the pool area looks like something from a resort, and it's maintained just as well. - On top of everything else, The Crossing is located within easy walking of one shopping center (Starbucks, 24 Hour, a bunch of restaurants), and within a mile or two of two others (BelAir, Nugget, Rite Aid, etc). Again, something else we will greatly miss in our new home. I can't recommend The Crossing enough. Since we are moving to home in the same area, we are going to pass by our old apartment often, and we will have nothing but fond memories when we do. We are excited at the new chapter in our lives, and equally thankful that we had such a nice place to live for the last chapter. We wish Lisa, Caroline, Ishmael, Guillermo, and Mike the absolute best!
I have lived at the Crossing since 2016. I have seen the office staff change several times and gone through one change of ownership. I have never had a bad experience with staff. The Crossing is the most affordable complex in Greenhaven considering what the rents offer. The updated units are beautiful. The complex is safe considering I have never seen the hired security guard around. All of the neighbors are great.
The issue is the staff. Vanessa is unprofessional and rube. I'm sorry that you're a glorified secretary and hate your job, but you get paid to answer phones and be professional so work on it. Both her and Lisa need to work on their organizational skills and professionalism. The apartments are fine and grounds well kept but going into the office to talk to either of these two is an unpleasant experience.
The Crossing at Lakefront Apartments. The rooms are very spacious compared to other 2 bedrooms in the area, the rooms with vaulted ceilings only magnify this. The pool/spa area is well set out while the gym while having towel service is quite minimal. Location is great with walking distance from park/river access. The area of green haven is perfect for families in that it provides a atmosphere of quite exclusion from busy thorough fairs of other areas of South Sacramento. Many mature trees provides great shade throughout the entire area.
