Property Ratings at Crossings At Hazelwood
Generally subpar room quality. A lot of old water damage. Had issues that lead to late fees that weren’t my fault. Not sure about once renovated, but definitely mediocre even for the price.
Internet could be faster during peak usage times. Amenities are okay. My refrigerator broke twice, the second time it took a week a get a replacement. Other than that everything is good!

For a college apartment, the apartment itself that you get is manageable. It has low cost and is really close to MTSU. That being said, never come here. There are plenty of apartments that are close to campus that are a little more expensive, and trust me, that is the best bet for you to take. The main issues are with management. They continually change their name in order to try and mitigate all the negative reviews that their apartment would receive. I have been taken advantage of a multitude of times there, been told several things that did not correspond with something that management has said the prior week or two, and I have lived in an apartment building that maybe had air conditioning for a day in the summertime. If you were like me and thought that the best idea would be to save some money and weather the storm, DO NOT DO THIS. I was charged a move out fee for something that my roommates' animals did, and the fee in and of itself was so outrageous that it was well over any sort of estimation of the actual damages that were there. I even had substantial evidence that I had not caused the damage, and that it was due to my roommates' animals (unregistered btw) and I was told that they couldn't find proper proof, despite him living with his animals. They did discount me on this, but the overall price would be what I would have expected the original price to have been. It is utterly ridiculous. Over the phone, management also mentioned to me that I would have 30 days to pay this fee. I asked for confirmation in an email, and received no reply regarding this. Then I was told that I had to pay in a small amount of time DESPITE being told otherwise previously. This is incredibly shady in and of itself. Overall, do not be like me. Do not ignore all the warning signs to save a quick buck or two. RUN AWAY.

Close to campus, nice and quiet. Evan is the best!
There have been several questionable incidents that have taken place that leave me to question the policies and procedures of this company. Also, my well-being and safety are now in jeopardy while attempting to follow the process that was provided to me by members of your staff. During November 2019, the resident of X vacated their lease. The staff never did a move-out inspection for this unit or the common share areas. If they had, then they would have noticed the mess that things were left in and had them properly cleaned and ready for another resident to move in. The end of November 2019 comes around and upon arriving home from visiting family for Thanksgiving. There was a stranger in my apartment claiming to be the new resident of X. I found this alarming for a few different reasons. It was at this time that I started to question the professionalism and integrity of this company. I was unsure how a company could allow someone without notice to vacate the property and move another person without proper inspection and procedure. Furthermore, after my conversation with the staff in October, why was I not contacted to allow the person to take over my lease. It seems that just in general bad business practice and ethics are this companies motto. During November 2019, I followed the procedures outlined in my lease for a few complaints, and still, to this date, there is no resolution. While a minor complaint during that time was the amount of smoke and smell that comes from the heater unit while running, a more severe complaint would last week while I was asleep in my room the resident in X, was robbed at gunpoint (The Police did come out and report filed). A few of the complaints that have been reported to the staff starting since January 9th until yesterday, January 27th are as follows: • Door to the unit is always left unlocked and opened by a resident of X • High Amounts of traffic both AM and PM hours. Ex. While cooking dinner one night, nine different individuals come into the apartment and left within a matter of minutes. • A few of my items were removed from the kitchen and tossed off the balcony. • Odor in the unit coming from the smoking of various things. • In addition to the door being left unlocked, people are entering the unit when the resident of X is not home and knocking on my door looking for him. • Not willing to use the central heating/cooling unit due to the smell of the unit and smoke odor
Horrible place to live, towed my car! I live here and still got my car towed! Then they told me it’s my fault and it’s nothing they can do. They send text messages saying i need to finish signing the lease but when it’s time for a new parking pass i don’t receive not one text. And they said they notified me ten times?! I have the phone messages. I’m a collage student with a budget i don’t have 300 dollars extra just laying around. And my homework and laptop was in my car when they towed it. I had exams and papers due which messed up my school semester. THEY HAVE ROACHES and never fix what you ask for only what they want. MY ROOM DOOR CAN EASILY BE OPENED WITH A CREDIT CARD OR EVEN KNIFE AND I TOLD THEM TO FIX IT A YEAR AGO! Never felt so bad in my life, tryna figure out how to pay to get my car back and still live. It’s sucked soo bad! One of the worse experiences of my life.
It's already more than one week since the moving in day on 8/21/2019 and my dryer is still not fixed!!! I don't think the staffs have the same level of patience as mine when residents are late on their payments!
If u have a over weight dog and your slowly getting her there don’t live here cause one minute they say have her out by tomorrow or pay 300 then a other person will say you need her out right now they won’t even give you time to look for someone so if I was you don’t come live here
The stove dipped in the middle, the internet went out at least once every two months, had to call maintenance to fix our dryers 5 times in a row, the couches are made of some super low quality pleather that starting coming off within a few months in which I am now being charged $250 to replace said couches. All in all now that I've moved out I'm being charged out the --- because of the crappy amenities falling apart on their own. The staff isn't bad, just the property it self is terrible and if your tight on cash I suggest you find some where else.
I had not visited this complex before moving in and that was a mistake. It is run down, not safe, and you will NOT only being living amongst other students (mostly men in their mid-50s). I did not feel safe walking around outside at anytime but especially at night. On multiple occasions I saw people walking around the property carrying firearms. When I moved in, my window was broken out of the frame and they told me they would need a few days to repair it. It is not worth your money. One perk is that visitors can park anywhere they want because the security guard knows that he could get assaulted (again) if he attempts to ticket anyone.
yeah its close to the school, that's the only good thing . The management and the people who work in the office are RUDE . they claim they care about their tenants. THEY LIE! its doesnt matter to them if your apartment gets Shot up, they dont care that you have mold forming in places in your apartment.they take FOREVER to get back to you. Parents n students look else where that would be your moneys worth! DO NOT MOVE here DO BETTER!!!! seriously!
New Owners bought out at then end of 2015, Removed Kitchen cabinets with 1 day notice, then Upped rent for less apartment. Forcibly replaced flooring in apartments with perfectly fine floors. Office Staff is very nice, But Management and Maintenance is VERY VERY VERY slow to get anything done. If they even get it fixed at all. If something is broken in your apartment, be prepared to make multiple phone calls, trips to the office, and remind them to fix it over the course of multiple days, even for major problems like power outages, broken air conditioning, and no hot water. Also be prepared for the maitenence men to come back to your apartment 3,4,5 times to fix the original problem. They seem to favor temporary fixes to avoid buying new appliances. Ive had the hot water heater looked at 5 times before they actually replaced it, and when they finally did, the thing was fully encased in rust, the air conditioner has broken and PUMPED SMOKE into my partment 3 or 4 times over the course of my living here. The Apartments themselves are 14 years old, and most have the original appliances and smoke detectors from 14 years ago, that may or may not work, and break frequently. Rent is fair, and includes utilities, but for the location and number of apartments near MTSU, The caliber of residents who steal, vandalize, and leave trash around the property, heavily out weighs those that just want a place to live. Id STRONGLY recommend finding a new location
The apartments are good. They way they match roommates is awful. My first roommates were in a gang, and this second roommate is a slob and just really awful. But they don't care. They should have a better way of putting roommates together. Living here now because I'm stuck in their lease. Anyone know any loop holes to break this lease? I'm super unhappy here.
I love this place! I currently attend MTSU and I live right down the road at Raider's Crossing. Having lived here for a solid year now I can say I am very happy with my living situation. Management is prompt and swift to correct any problems you may have. Everyone (yes, I mean Everyone) at the office is very very nice and are there for you whenever you need something. I've personally made friends with practically all of them! Yes, this place is off campus. In consideration of my previous expectations of the 'college life atmosphere' it is actually fairly quiet and peaceful here. I live on the ground floor and I do occasionally hear the people above me, but it's not significantly bothersome. The majority of people who live here are college students, and though my experience tells me I have inherited an agreeable situation, of course I cannot guarantee that will happen specifically for you. But I will say, provided the superior work ethic, friendliness, and professionalism on the account of the office people and management, that this is absolutely your choice for student living. Most packages are delivered to the front office, and if the office is closed, the mail delivery man may leave it at your door. There is also a security person that is here during the night, which provides people of a certain degree of safety and assurance. Also, MTSU is well within suitable walking distance. I've walked and rode my bike dozens of times, and I think if one didn't have a car, this would still be a suitable alternative to on-campus housing, which is much more expensive and less agreeable in terms of living space. Here, there's a well maintained pool and hot tub. There's also free internet, and so long as you have your own wifi-router you can access it. Yes, internet is not slow. It's what you want. In conclusion, the price, people, and property are all excellent, and I'm as satisfied as can be with my decision to move to Raider's Crossing. I'm confident that if you too decide to move here, you will be equally impressed. I hope my review was helpful! Good luck!
