Peekskill is a charming small city positioned about forty miles north of Manhattan on the east bank of the Hudson River. The community hosts a thriving Downtown district loaded with locally-owned specialty shops, eclectic restaurants, and entertainment venues—Swing by the Peekskill Farmers’ Market at the center of town for the freshest produce and groceries around, grab a drink at the Quiet Man Public House, or catch a show at the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater.
One of the city’s most notable features is its access to nature: the sprawling Depew Park sits on the south side of town, providing an expansive network of trails to explore the natural splendor of the region. Bear Mountain State Park sits directly across the river, providing gorgeous scenery and putting outdoor adventures just a short drive away.

Property Ratings at Crossroads
This place is a disgusting dump, and offers very poor, basic living conditions . It is humiliating and degrading to live here. The entire building is severely infested with both roaches and bed bugs and nothing gets resolved no matter how many times the exterminator comes out. The whole place reaks of cigarettes and marijuana (seeps through the vents.) There is never any parking and no assigned parking spaces, so the whole community utilizes the parking lot to enjoy shows at the Paramount, so you better be home by 5:00pm. The elevator breaks down once a week (there are 7 floors.) None of the 4 washers nor 4 dryers in the laundry room ever work properly and it’s always a dirty mess. Good luck trying to refill your laundry card (that doesn’t accept change or single dollar bills) after lugging your laundry down 7 flights of stairs because the machine will eat your money 5 times out of 10. People leave their garbage thrown all over the floor near the garbage chute. Packages and deliveries constantly get stolen right off of your doormat. There are constant leaks from the bathroom above. The sinks break down, the fridges are old and broken. You’d have a better quality of living staying at a motel in the Bronx, or better yet, a shelter. You get what you pay for; so yes the rent is extremely cheap, but this building does not offer a clean, healthy lifestyle for anyone to live in. It’s sickening. No matter how much you clean, buy Raid bombs, get the exterminator, you will have HUNDREDS of roaches in your apartment DAILY. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. There is a tennis court, and pool to utilize during the summer where boys throw footballs and basketballs at swimming toddlers so there’s something to look forward to after the snow.
I would not recommend this apartment to any one they charge you a late fee delivery fee and legal fee if you rent is 3 days late that equals up to $300.00 then take tenants to court saying it's late rent arrears they are very dis honest people and the amount of mice in the building is crazy they get away with it bcuz tennents don't want a problem bcuz it's actually the cheapest apartment in Peekskill Most of the tenants don't want to fight the fees scared of getting evicted
