Property Ratings at Crowne at Grandview
I lived in this community around 4 years and believe me it's a great community in a decent prize. You feel like you are staying in a nature even though it's very near to the highway but it's not noisy. Apartments are pretty clean and well maintained. Staff is so friendly and helpful. If I get a chance to get back to Birmingham al, I would love to stay at Crowne at Grandview once again. Thank you guys.
Do not live here. Per usual, I was woken up this morning by my upstairs neighbors stomping on the ground. Often, I am uncertain if it is thundering outside and the thunder is shaking my apartment or if my neighbors are just home. I called the courtesy officer to make a noise complaint and it sounded like a women who was at a bar. She laughed at me then never showed up. I am not exaggerating the noise. If you ever want to get a normal night of sleep again, do not live here. I had to get ear plugs just so I could "sleep in" until 5am on the weekends. If you call the office about noise, they will tell you to call the courtesy officer. If you call the courtesy officer, she will finish her night out at the bars then tell you "I'm not there and won't be for another hour" and then not show up.

The Crowne at Grandview is been my hope for a bit over five months now and that has given me ample time to get moved in and use all that is offered by this luxurious apartment living! From the safety of having a gaited community, the beautiful pool and workout amenities and the friendly staff - The Crowne At Grandview has anything and everything one would need it apartment living! The grounds are always safe and clean; like when a tree was struck by lightning (everyone knows how Alabama's lightning can be) and that tree was moved instantaneously! It's a beautiful thing knowing that the employee of this fine establishment are always on-point if something is needed! The Crowne team as a whole is always finding ways to make this community better and better e.g. the pool parties over the summer and the upcoming silent auction. I would recommend Crowne At Grandview to ANYONE who is looking for a safe, clean and fun apartment community to live in! The staff is as good as any staff I've encountered and I've lived all over the USA. The Crowne At Grandview is great, just give them a try!!! You will be overly surprised how great this community is!!!!

I've lived at the Crowne at Grandview for about 7 months now after leaving their TERRIBLE sister property The Crrowne at Overton. If you're looking for a central location on Hwy 280, close to Hwy 459 and The Summit, this is a perfect place! It's tucked away from all of the busy, noisy traffic of the Highway just steps away from the new Pappadeaux restaurant. Management: They are okay. Pretty friendly and willing to help if you need pest control, help in the computer lap or need to pick up a package. There was just a change in staff as most people who were here when I moved in were promoted to a new Crowne property. The new lot are decent and nice people all around. Maintenance: If you have an emergency, they are right there within 10 minutes of the call. We recently had issues with the hot water in the apartment and they sent someone over to have my hot water back on within the hour. Apartment: Crowne recently updated most of their apartments to remain competitive with the luxury apartments across the street. However, the upgrades are limited to the kitchen cabinet,s, appliances and flooring. Not every apartment is upgraded, so if you have it in your budget to pay a little extra, I would say go for it. Other than that, there is nothing overwhelmingly special about the layout or fixtures in other parts of the apartment. It's pretty standard. I feel they could have gone that extra mile to upgrade everything. Grounds: Very clean and quiet. It's perfect for families as the students here are mostly grads and pretty quiet. I haven't had any person issues with noise or littering. Overall: I give this place a 3 out of 5 because they don't seem to go that extra mile. You get nice service and a decent apartment for a nice part of town.

You always hear stories about apartment living and let's face it, they are usually not very positive. I can honestly say that living at Crowne at Grandview has been a wonderful experience. From the spacious living area to the wonderful staff, we have nothing but positive stories to share. We have enjoyed every minute here and we are very excited about our move to Crowne at Cahaba in a few months. I know we are going to love it there as well! Thanks for a wonderful place to call home!

Crowne has a great reputation, and now I see why. When I moved into the complex, I was greeted with complimentary goodies to make the move-in process more bearable. The staff has been very attentive to requests that are made. Here are some pros and cons about the place: Pros: -The grounds are very well kept. All of our guests comment about how lovely the place is. -It is a gated community and is nestled enough away from the busy-ness of the highway. The fact that it's gated makes me feel safe. -These are newer apartments. If you know anything about Birmingham, you know that many of the apartments are very old. This takes a toll on your utility bill, especially when winter comes around. I can say this apartment is well insulated and energy efficient. There are fans installed, which keeps us from having to use the AC; there is a dishwasher, which is actually more cost-effective than hand-washing constantly; the electric stove heats up really quickly and is very efficient. This helps keep the bills down in the long run. Cons: The apartment was smaller than what I had expected. When my husband and I viewed the apartment before moving in, it was, ofcourse, the model. But we asked tons of questions about the size and everything, and were under the impression that everything was the same size, except that there was not a second bedroom. We were a bit disappointed when we came to see it the week of moving in because it was not as big as we thought. With that being said, however, this is not really a con because the apartment is still very lovely and is still spacious. The appliances are new, and the apartment is well insulated, which is great for energy savings. -The apartment is located on 280, which can get quite crowded. This is not really a problem for us because we usually leave around 6:40 in the morning to get to work by 7, but it's something you may want to consider. -Paying for valet trash is NOT optional. It is still a nice service; just wish it didn't cost so much per month. I could honestly put my own trash in the bin. -There is a bark park, but no human park. This may be a pro for you. For me, I find it kinda ridiculous that dogs get something that the residents don't have. It would have been nice to have a park or tennis court or something of the sort outdoors for humans.

I love this apartment! It is a little pricey but it has everything in a home a person can wish for. In our beautiful clubhouse the staff is friendly and helpful. They plan community events every month which are fun to go to. There aren't many kids and college students that live here and the ones that do are very respectful. We are a quiet community but Crowne has a lot to offer. There is also valet trash M-F! The pool is very nice with grills out beside it. The maintenance is also very helpful and respond to your requests as quickly as possible. I have no complaints about Crowne at Grandview.
