Defined by its narrow and winding mountain roads, scenic vistas, and wooded hills, Glen Iris is as beautiful as it is historic. This is one of Birmingham’s oldest neighborhoods and it’s also one of its trendiest. Glen Iris has an urban side to counterbalance all of that natural beauty, so you’ll discover a variety of restaurants, shops, and nightlife along with great hiking destinations.
Glen Iris Park, developed around 1898, is the neighborhood’s crown jewel. This subdivision contains a variety of well-maintained, historic homes that encircle a wooded greenspace. While the homes are still privately owned, Glen Iris residents are proud to have this small time capsule tucked away in their neighborhood.
Situated directly south of Downtown Birmingham, Glen Iris is close the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Vulcan Park and Museum, Birmingham Zoo, and the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

Property Ratings at Crowne on 10th
The amenities are awesome. The dog park attached to the complex has been a game changer for owning a dog here. Overall, a great place to live and super close to UAB campus.

Hi- Thank you for your review. We're happy to know that we've exceeded your expectations and look forward to continuing to do so! Sincerely, Crowne Professional Management
I love the staff. They are super friendly and helpful. They remember you and are already on top of fixing things before you even notice them. The pool is clean and nice. The workout area is convenient- small but I still like it. I love my unit, as it was very clean prior to move in and management made sure to quickly fix anything we noticed. Parking is easy and I’ve never felt unsafe. There are a lot of students here and some families, which I appreciate because everyone seems very respectful of each other. I also love walking around the area through the houses and in the park. It’s so close to UAB, which is nice because you can walk or bike if you need to. The only negatives (as every place will have them) is that sometimes the power goes out in this area and someone stole bikes out of the breezeway, even though they were solidly locked up. Overall, I would recommend if you want to be close to UAB and feel safe. It’s worth the money in my opinion. The only reason I’m leaving is because I’m moving out of state for a professional school.

It's such a great feeling to know that we left you with such a remarkable impression of Crowne on 10th. We're overjoyed to see your rating and truly thank you for sharing! We wish you all the best in the future.
The property is well maintained. However, the office staff was often rude and very short with me. Also, the manager was often at the pool with a group of people even though I do not think she lived at the property. Nice property but the staff could be much better.

Thank you for calling Crowne home! Sincerely, Crowne Professional Management
The building is pretty old and outdated, and the electricity bill during the winter is outrageous because it is so drafty in the apartment. If it weren't for those two things this apartment would be perfect. The location is awesome. And the neighborhood is very cute.
