Situated on a barrier island off of Long Island’s South Shore, Long Beach is known as the “City by the Sea,” with more than three miles of white-sand beaches and a vibrant boardwalk stretching over two miles long. Beach culture is especially prevalent, with popular activities such as swimming and surfing in the sea, as well as biking and jogging on the boardwalk.
Long Beach is home to a close-knit community. Residents come together for a wide variety of events, including the Annual Arts and Crafts Fair held on the boardwalk every year. Visitors flock to Long Beach in the summertime while the winter months tend to be quieter. However, apartments, condos, townhomes, and houses are all available for rent in Long Beach year round. Quick access to the Long Island Rail Road connects residents to the many metropolitan delights of New York City.

Property Ratings at Crystal House
My husband and I lived at the Crystal house for 4 years. It was our first apartment together, so many memories (getting engaged, finding our we were having our first baby!). We even got married right on the boardwalk at the Allegria! It is a wonderful place to live. The views are unbelievable, you have direct beach access from the garage, and the management is helpful and friendly. The building is kept impeccably clean. The area is full of nice, easy going people. You can easily ride your bike to the local Key food for groceries (less than 5 minutes away), or to the restaurants. GREAT place to live! - The Kleins
My husband and I lived at the Crystal House for 5 years and highly recommend it! The staff is friendly and helpful, the building is well kept and always clean and you live right on the beach!
I have nothing but great things to say about the Crystal House. I lived here for over a year in a one bedroom beachfront apartment. The apartment itself was kept in great condition and the view was incredible all year round. The building is kept spotless by a staff who is constantly cleaning and doing maintenance around the hallways. The office manager and super, Varinia and Diego, are both very professional and personable and have made the living experience very pleasant. The building atmosphere feels very safe and the neighbors are friendly. I will miss living in the Crystal House but look to some day return!
ITS A SLUM. Constant breakdown of items in building (water, gas). Stench coming from garbage fills entire lobby most days. Roach problem all over building. Management doesn't care and acts like they are doing you the favor.
This is a great building to live in Long Beach with excellent management and staff. The building is located right near the boardwalk and beach, and you even have a private entrance from the garage to the beach. The staff responds ASAP, and the super is top notch and always has the tenants best interest in mind. Over my year and a half at the building, I cant say enough positive things about the building. If you're looking for a place to live in Long Beach- The Crystal House is your #1 Choice!
My wife and I have lived in a few different places in Long Beach and we were at the Crystal House for 2 years. We absolutely loved it and the view is unbeatable! The location is amazing and there's even a private entrance to the beach. I can't say enough good things about the staff, which certainly goes a long way when living in a building. They would immediately respond to any request and help in any way possible. We lived in a large one bedroom apartment with beautiful wooden floors throughout and there is a tremendous amount of storage. We are sad to be leaving and will certainly miss living at the Crystal House. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Length of time living at property: 3 Yrs 1 Bdr (7th Floor) If you are looking to move to Long Beach this is a great property to consider. The building is located on the beachfront and has its own private entrance to the beach. If you are a surfer, this building is in a great spot to surf (close to a local break and is represented on surf weather cams online) Crystal house is also located on Neptune which is right at the beginning of the boardwalk making it very easy to hop on your bike, skateboard, or go for a walk from end to end. If you commute to NYC, the LB bus stop is one building over and will take you to the LIRR station in about 5 min. (Bus stop is also covered which is a plus). The building is maintained and cleaned regularly and the property management and superintendent are friendly and responsive to any question/concerns you may have. The unit/floor we lived in was quiet and had a beautiful view of NYC and the bay from the balcony off of the living room. hardwood floors are standard in all units, and when we moved in they had updated our bathroom with a new vanity/sink/tiles etc which was a plus. One thing to consider if you are moving down to LB, I would suggest you pay for a parking spot in the building if it is available. While parking on the east end is much easier then on the west, having a dedicated spot is nice for when you have to go shopping, experience bad weather, or come home late at night. If the garage is full however, the building is close to a municipal lot for residents. We decided to move from LB and crystal house because of new job opportunities. We will miss the beach and the crystal house!
LOVE this building with its perfect location! LOVE the management and staff- they are amazing! I feel so lucky to have found my apartment which has an incredible view of the ocean. A dream come true for me...waking up to the sound of the ocean, biking on the boardwalk, concerts at night along with having all of the perks of living in Long Beach!
My husband and I lived in the Crystal House for 2 years, WHAT A VIEW! Our apartment was spacious, clean and filled with a ton of natural light. We were conveniently allowed to move in a couple days prior to our actual lease date in order to move in on a weekend, rather than midweek. A lot of buildings don't allow weekend move-in, but this building is very flexible and allows this. We were accommodated with with one of the two elevators on this side of the building. It was just for us the day we moved in, which was also very convenient. Throughout our time living at the Crystal House, we saw a lot of good improvements to the building. Picnic Tables were added outside by the pool deck, new lights were installed in all hallways, hallway carpets were refreshed and cleaned regularly and never had one issue with the elevators, utilities, or laundry machines. From start to finish, working with the management and staff was virtually seamless. Diego, the super was very organized, friendly and extremely helpful with any concerns or questions upon moving in/out and throughout living there. My husband and I did not have to pay a realtor's fee, as the staff handles this entire process, and well. Varinia, in the office is extremely organized, friendly and helpful also, which makes a HUGE difference. When we needed to move out (gave our 30 days notice), she and the staff were very accommodating and our service deposit was returned quickly. I would definitely recommend this building for both the beach lifestyle as well as the convenience of good staff to keep the entire building safe and clean. The beach access is great. There is a ramp attached to the parking garage leading directly to the sand. The staff is helpful and friendly and the location (east end) is at the beginning of the boardwalk on Neptune. There is also bike racks for storing bicycles. What more could you ask! We were sad to have to relocate and move away from Long Beach, but wanted to express what a great living experience we had. If we didn't have to relocate, we would have stayed here for quite a big longer. Highly recommend this building!!!
