This tiny old apartment has too many hidden fees that would to go up to about $200 a month. Believe me!
I love the remodeled upgraded unit Im in. Lake view, big open kitchen and living room. Two full baths. Quiet at night. Very satisfied with my choice living here.
This is a very quiet community, which I love. Everyone is very respectful, maintenance is prompt and friendly and the office staff are very informative and kind.
Worst management team I've ever seen. Disrespectful to residents, and petty.
The proprty itself is nice, but management is poor. The manager who handles requests shows apathy for the residents, frequently refusing to handle issues or even communicatr. It feels like the apartment has so much potential, but it is let down by management.
Unfortunately, we are having a terrible experience with Crystal Lake Comunity. We moved here when there was a really good manager but for some reason now they have signs by the office that say under new management. We are having an A C emergency for over a week and they keep giving us excuses and not solving the problem. Apparently there is no one in charge because they keep throwing the ball to one another.
Don't live here! The management only thinks of themselves and not of the peaceful environment here. Many people moved because of the animals and now they are removing them.
Visited and viewed an apartment on Thursday and was told it would be available the next Wednesday. Got a call on Monday and was told the apartment was still occupied and they wouldn't have another unit available until the end of the month (another 2 weeks from the original move-in day). We are currently stuck in a hotel with nowhere to go. We had already paid all the fees and they are refusing to give us our money back when it's their fault the apartment was not ready. Very disappointed, we were impressed with the staff and apartment when we visited.

Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. We were able to overcome the issue that we ran into with the current resident not moving out by their scheduled move-out date; by moving some vendors around and working late into the evening, we were able to accommodate your original move in date. We know you will love living here! It is our hope that we have been able to turn your disappointment around and we will be looking for that 5 star rating soon!
We are military and we were able to set everything up and sign our lease online so we were able to get our keys the day we drove 15 hours here. It saved a lot of time and a headache. The complex is nice. The staff is wonderful, they have been so helpful with anything we have needed. Maintenance has handled anything we've needed the same day quickly and done correctly. There are ducks that roam around the complex who are nice and love being fed. We have fished at the pond and caught quite a few fish. The pool is nice and has wifi. The internet and cable in the apartment is a nice addition that I couldn't find elsewhere. Some of the apartments are dated, but they are being updated. We've had some issues with bugs and wasps but the management immediately got pest control here. Overall we've been very happy with this place!

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience at Crystal Lake. We are happy Crystal Lake has exceeded your expectations. Many of our residents love our safe, quiet location near NAS and Corry Station. We also hear others have enjoyed the benefit of cable and internet included in rent: it allows our residents to avoid the hassles of set-up, waiting hours for installation, additional credit checks or having to worry about cancelling or transferring service. We take pride in our community and our maintenance team is top-notch. We are proud to offer large, nicely appointed 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment homes for our residents. Our residents love our many well-maintained amenities: pool, sand volleyball, car wash station, fire pit, grills and playground. As you may be aware, ownership recently changed in late January 2017 and we have made, or are in the process of making, many improvements to enhance the experience for residents
I moved in about 4 years ago and it was alright but still lackluster condition as far as the carpets were concerned. So far there have been one firebombing that almost burned my building down from a person setting a car on fire. 2 gun shots that went threw walls and a drug operation. I also believe the cops have been called to my building around 25 times that's not an exaggeration i kept a tally to bring to the office. I had 22 days of no AC threw out the summer of 2014 and 12 days in 2015 till they finaly fixed my AC unit. The management has changed about 5 times since i have been here and the entire office staff has been changed 4 times. All buildings have thin walls, no counter space, forced mandatory internet and cable that is "included" in the rental agreement and you can not opt out of. When i first moved in rent was $650 and was worth that but rent has gone up over $300 to $959 and the apartments have not been renovated enough to be worth that.

Our new ownership group has taken over at the end of January 2017 with a commitment to making sure tenants are treated with respect and have a great place they are proud to call home. We have a new management team and a talented maintenance staff committed to resolving work orders in a timely manner. As always, please contact the office staff to share your concerns so we know how we can improve. Our goal is to make Crystal Lake a place you are proud to call home.
Staff was very helpful and polite with the move in process. They told us we can instal washer and dryer to the hookups but THE DRYER WILL NOT FIT. The company the leasing office has you go through does not have a small enough dryer to fit into the tiny pantry like area. Apartment was dirty when we first got there, but staff was very helpful and schedualed a crew to come clean it before we moved in. Overall a nice apartment with helpful staff. Only issue is the dryer.

So I'll start with positives: Nice layout with hard wood floors Cable and Internet is apart of the rent Lights/ceiling fans in rooms Spacious closets Modern stove, refrigerators, and dishwasher Good lighting Well kept grounds Car care center is convenient Leasing office employees are nice and respectful The negatives Dead worms on window sill, Dryer won't fit in some apartments from the company they recommend It was dirty when we moved in water stains dust and dirt everywhere Rooms are small All in all it is a decent place to live for the price and is close to corry station for those who are in the military

We are glad that our community and staff were able to meet many of your expectations while calling Crystal Lake your home. Many of our residents love our safe, quiet location near NAS and Corry Station. We get many compliments on our maintenance team, they certainly work hard and we greatly appreciate their efforts. New ownership has taken over in late January 2017 and we are making many improvements to enhance the experience for residents.
There are almost no usable kitchen cabinets in these apartments. There are not many cabinets to begin with and then they are mounted to the ceiling so I can only reach the bottom shelf. Im 5'4 tall. For a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment you would expect to have more cabinets than these had. These apartments have single pane windows which have failed. In Florida weather single pane windows are not a big deal as far as efficiency of saving your electric bill. I believe most dwellings in this city have single pane windows. The problem is that they have streaking across the window that is not removable by cleaning. And they are very prone to sweating-especially if you keep the blinds closed. Then there will be a lot of mold all over painted area of window sill. Looks really bad when it happens. Apartments have been constructed on the cheaper side. You can hear a lot of noise. Somewhat understandable though because there are hurricanes that damage apartments. Customer service is excellent. They repair issues right away. When I picked out an apartment in the complex we were supposed to be located next on bottom floor next to the car wash near the entrance - only two speed bumps to go over when coming home. They called me a day early and asked if I wanted to move in early. Of course I said yes. Little did I know they called me early to trick me into moving into a second floor apartment located almost at the very back of the complex. Which meant stairs to climb that wasn't the original agreement and countless harsh speed bumps to cross every day we left. I complained when I realized when they were going over information when I went to pick up my key. They apologized and said the other apartment wouldn't be ready for another week. I would have been a lot more understanding if they had just told me that instead of trying to "trick us". Ive lived in a lot of apartments and never had an apartment complex do that before. Car wash is convenient but not that impressive. Water hoses are in desperate need of being replaced and vacuums come on but barely suck any dirt up and definitely won't get sand up.
