A major suburb of Austin, Cedar Park gets you right into the area without having to live in the big city. If you like peace and quiet but don't want to live all the way out in the woods, then Cedar Park is the place to be. It's nice living so close to one of the biggest music cities in America, but you don't even need to leave Cedar Park to take in a great concert. If you want entertainment, check out the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. The center plays host to everything from monster truck shows to country and hip hop concerts. Cedar Park is only about 16 miles from Downtown Austin, making this an ideal location for commuters. Cedar Park is considered one of the fastest-growing cities in the country.
Cedar Park's claim to fame (besides the H-E-B Center) is the Heritage Oak Tree, a 400-year-old live oak that stands 57 feet tall and is 80 feet around. This massive tree is decorated during the holiday season with over 30,000 lights.

Property Ratings at Cypress Gardens
My apartment was in shambles when I moved in. There were shootings while I was there. You can only get your keys after 12pm. My keys didn't work when I tried them in the door, so I had to go back to get the correct ones. Even the drive entryway is bumpy and full of holes There were cracks in the walls, dirty tiles, rust on my light fixture, broken refrigerator parts, and my stove didn't work properly. My water heater had rust on it. My washer was missing parts so it made a lot of noise. I put in maintenance requests and they take days even for high priority requests. My A/C went out twice in the Summer, and it took 2 days for them to look at it. I needed a window unit A/C. They take your final bills from your security deposit. It is in the lease agreement. It is a cheaply run place where everything is broken or dirty. The walls and floors are thin so expect to hear everything going on including normal conversations.

I absolutely hate that I have to write this review, but I wish I had read one like this before I made the decision to move to this property. It has been a complete nightmare since I moved in. I am mainly upset because I pushed my move date out a week and the winter storm also occurred which pushed it out another week and my apt STILL wasn't ready after calling and asking several times if it was. Whatever walk through the staff conducted was not done correctly. This is the most disgusting apt I have ever moved in to. I had no hot water when I moved in (they finally fixed after two days) there is a leak in my bedroom and now my carpet smells horrendous. There is also now a leak under my bathroom sink that has flooded the bottom cabinet. Now my bathroom smells horrible and rank. The tile in around the bathtub wasn't clean. The blinds were not replaced and filled with dust. I don't see how a cleaning service came and did anything. There is dust sitting on the light in my kitchen. The window sills were dirty. My shower did not work for a week, I was only able to take baths which I do not prefer. I have felt blown off by everyone in the office except Alicia. I am completely disappointed with the lack of urgency to get my issues resolved. These are not issues one should have in the beginning, especially given the amount of time they had to get the apartment ready! There are several other things wrong that I don't even have the energy to include. You can definitely find something better at these prices. The only thing I have been impressed with is the actual size of the apartment.

The jacuzzi tub has been broken for a whole year now. People let their dogs swim in the pool, and so do the ducks. The pool has broken down 6 times in the summer. A/c will freeze over after been on for an hour. There is evidence of termites. Oh yeah.. the neighbors gave us bedbugs and I know that for sure because I had bought brand new mattresses and brand new bedframes. Took them a little over a week to show up. And the pest control killed all 3 of my kids guinea pigs. No apology from them I notified the front office. Now we have to pay on top of the rent a $75 cable package, and $25 for valet trash service that I don't use AT ALL. And you can't opt out of the service. I have little ones and I don't feel comfortable having complete strangers on my porch at night. I am disappointed also because my family and I went 4 days with no hot water in the winter. They front lady said we could use the shower in another building only. I said no because I will not bathe my kids in another building only to have them walk in the freezing cold winter to get back to our place. I really did like the property in the beginning but it's not worth the increase for the problems we have had here. And when I asked the lady at the office about the cable package and valet trash and said that I don't need or want the service she said that I can just move somewhere else if I didn't want the services.

Management is not helpful. They are never available, fail to give you proper notifications, do not return phone calls or emails, and are extremely inconsistent. They're rude and screw you over monetarily. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
My family of four has lived here for 2 1/2 years. Some of the things have gone uphill with the change of management, but others... not so much. It's easy to tell that the complex has made some good changes, like re-painting the trim on the buildings for a more updated look, adding enclosures for the dumpsters, changing the colors of the doors. On the downside, every time we renew our lease, the rent is being raised considerably higher. It may still be lower compared to the other apartments in our area, but some (several) of the other tenants are quite questionable. There have been several instances of police being called over for things such as stabbing, roommate disturbance, and other things that were never divulged. The truth is, we've been mostly happy with living here. We haven't had any problems with neighbors (despite some of the things I've mentioned, we weren't involved in any of it), and our neighbors right near us are downright good neighbors. When you go into the front office to pick up a package, they are efficient in their jobs, and cordial. The pools could stand to be cleaned up, but since the creek has dried up, the ducks have been going in there. Not that we think the ducks don't need water, it's just not clean for us humans.

I am very sorry to hear you feel this way and welcome you to stop by my office so we can discuss in person. Thank you! I look forward to speaking to you!
An older style complex within the center of Cedar Park. Recently having shingles and paint makeover. Rent is extremely reasonable in comparison to complexes within just a few miles. Surrounded by 2 bars and a liquor store isnt a bad problem either.

Thank you for your input we really appreciate and value our residents! Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
The apartments are way over price for just a small two bedroom. You are more paying for the school district.

Cypress Gardens is a good place to live. It's relatively affordable in a very unaffordable apartment marketplace in the Central Texas area. The apartments are clean and well maintained. Maintenance requests are handled very quickly; usually within 24 hours.

A great place to live. Buildings consist of only 8 apartments each! I live on the second floor, have my own staircase which leads to a 10'x10' porch with a storage closet! I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with my girlfriend for under $800 with my girlfriend and unlike many Austin-area apartments, I have a quiet, family-centered apartment complex and have an affordable rent, two pools, a kind office staff, quick maintenance and almost no traffic! I would like to note that if you plan to pay rent online there is a service charge on cards unless you link to a checking account...

I like my apartment complex because it's very quiet during the week when I work, but on the weekends the pools seem to get flooded with people who don't even live here. there is no gate in front of the complex to keep this from happening.

Ive lived at Cypress for over 3 yeasr and ahve bene very happy here. I looked around and found that most pacaes were alot for nothing. Staff is nice.
having moved out, it took them 3 months to return my deposit back. now, three months later, they are sending me a collection letter from a debt mediation company saying that I owe it back to them. they never once tried to contact me to resolve this, they instantly sold my debt. I have had a very difficult time contacting the office staff, as well as them responding in an adequate time. This apartment complex was poor quality, but cheap, you get what you pay for.
