Property Ratings at Cypress Gardens
Put in an application WEEKS ago and have sent multiple follow up emails as well as call’s and we’ve been ignored everytime.
Pros: -Main office staff is attentive and helpful -It's a dead end so there's not much traffic noise -My apt was bright and spacious -The grounds are nice to walk around -Parking was very easy, plenty of space -Pretty safe-feeling community Cons: -Can hear loud squeaking when upstairs neighbors walk around, can hear their phones ring, can hear every word they say, not to mention if neighbors play music, watch tv, or have people over. It's loud since there's no noise insulation between units (even on the sides) and the floorboards are so squeaky. This is the main reason for a low rating. -Was stressful to have pets here since maintenance enters units extremely frequently for required random upkeep on weekdays -Noise from leaf blowers and mowers very frequently -Expensive -Mostly views of parking lots and other apt buildings unless you're lucky to get one facing trees -No laundry in unit
Best place I’ve ever lived. The property manager is insanely sweet and kind, always willing to help out and do what she can. Also the maintenance crew comes and helps me out ASAP. I can have my dogs here and they are always making improvements to their buildings to make them bigger and more efficient. My daughter and dogs love their big balcony and our spacious apartment. Could never imagine finding a better apartment complex.
My experience here has been good from the start. Management, and maintenance exceed my expectations. Its peaceful. My neighbors are pleasant. And will be signing my lease for another year!! I recommend!
As far as value in New Jersey is concerned this as about as good as it gets. Apartment was re-carpeted, repainted and had new cabinets and countertops when I moved in 9 months ago. My job requires a lot of commuting and this was about a mile from Hamilton station to NYC, 40 minutes to Philadelphia by drive, and 5 minutes to 195 or 295 depending on whether I'm going East-West or North-South that day. SEPTA wouldn't be a hassle for anyone who needs that access. Dominique was wonderful in the lead-up to moving in and everything went smoothly. Snow removal over the winter was above and beyond what I'd expect from a sprawling complex of this size and management makes sure to give residents advance notice of anything going on that may affect them. Grounds/maintenance crew stays up on any issues and was surprised to even find the main road in the complex routinely updated when pot-holes formed. New Jersey Transportation doesn't even do that! Due to personal circumstances I'm not sure if I'll be renewing or not but hope that I can stay around. Star was only deducted (no real fault of the property manager) for lack of dishwasher/laundry in-unit. But if you look at the price and construction date you know what you're getting, and the laundry facility on site is more than sufficient. Final thought: Only paying for electric is fantastic at this price, and the baseboard heat is insanely effective in the winter.
I went to cypress garden's today to check it out. Dominique was very helpful and friendly. I am looking forward to a new beginning @ Cypress Gardens.
I lived in these apartments for almost 3 yrs before moving out into a house. Originally I lived in a 2BR, but when my roommate moved out I switched to a 1BR. The process was incredibly easy and Dominique was wonderful Throughout the process. Both Dominique and John (the head maintenance) are wonderful people who are happy to help whenever needed. I never had issues any issues while living here. If I weren't moving into a house, I'd be happy to stay here as my neighbors were also friendly. A plus here is that they are pet-friendly allowing all breeds. Again, I can't say enough things about this complex. It is also prime location being close to highways, stores and restaurants.
I have lived at this property for about 6 years. Each year this place gets more upgraded, and looks great. Maintenance & the leasing manager are attentive, very good at what they do. I have never had an issue here, and I am so thankful to be close to everything I need. Every time my family or friends drop in they are always commenting on how nice the grounds are kept, how quiet it is, and how lovely my neighbors are. I have never felt more at home!
The maintence are extremely rude and insensitive. Waking us up at 7 in the morning with their powertools hammering on the ceiling if the basement right below our beds, without even telling us. Place is disgusting, lived here a long time and theyve NEVER ONCE replaced any of the hardware in the kitchen. Rent is EXTREMELY TOO HIGH for the quality of the apartment. Do not recommend at all!

Reading your review, I would personally like to comment. Maintenance starts every week day at 8 am, and no earlier. If there were ever a complaint as to them making noise, I would have appreciated a phone call letting us know. As far as your apartment, we trust that all residents keep a well maintained and clean living space. I am sure you are aware, that after moving in, the cleanliness and upkeep of the unit is up to you. Any issues, non-working appliances, or "hardware" that needed to be tended to, fixed/replaced should have been called in for a work order request. All work order requests are dealt with the utmost urgency. Please come in to the leasing office, or give us a call with anything that you need. We will be more than happy to assist you.
I have been living here for about 6 months and I love it. the property manager is amazing and very helpful, any problems I have had she is on top of. She always has a smile when I go into talk to her and has been very helpful with my lease signing. She made the whole process very smooth and easy. My apartment is very spacious and has a lot of light. The upgraded apartment is not only beautiful but the storage is amazing. I do not plan on moving anytime soon. I love the location also. Having everything right around the corner helps tremendously. I have all major roads surrounding me. I say move here and you will never want to leave. My neighbors are also super nice and very helpful!!

Thank you so much for your review. We value your residency in so many ways.
I lived at Cypress Gardens for Two years and relocated due to career enhancement. I wished I didn't have to leave. It was one of the best places I lived; especially because they allow Dogs. Visiting family and friends always compliment the outside grounds and how my apartment was spacious. Dominique and her team are great, professional and reliable. Once I had upstairs water leakage to my downstairs and maintenance came within 10 mins. to stop the problem. I recently had my Move out Walk through, Dominique /Property Manager had an organized checklist and the walk through was a breeze – no problems at all!

I have lived at this property for 5 years now. they are making some major improvements to the outside, with new balconies & railings, and new wonderful residents that have been moving in lately. my apartment is very spacious, and comfortable. I am close to everything imaginable. maintenance is very prompt & efficient. The property manager Dominique, who works in the office now is so nice, she always listens and takes care of whatever issues I have (which is barley anything) and she is very helpful! I always try to recommend this complex to everyone I met. My neighbors are really nice, and I have been happy to say that I don't ever want to leave here! the office is always open, and is easy to get to after hours for any emergency. i have never had a bad thing to say about this place.
I stayed at cypress gardens from 2012-2013 and I loved the amount of space at first. It was my first apartment. I was told it was hardwoods but they carpeted it because the wood was so bad it couldn't be refurbished. No big deal. The big deal was the bedbugs I soon found in the apartment. My friend got bitten first, then I found a live one on my couch. I brought the "specimen " to management and they put traps in and sprayed. My neighbors complained of the same thing and said the person who lived in my place before me also complained, showing it was an ongoing problems. One of my co workers even asked me if I had bedbugs after telling him I moved here because the place apparently was known for it . After continuing to get bitten the management kept spraying which did nothing so eventually I bought my own kit and fumigated. Aside from that it was a great place for the money

I am sorry to hear about your experience that you had while living here. I do want to say, with full reassurance, that if there was any issues with pests, they are dealt with immediately. We take pride in this community, and want to assure that every tenant is happy & comfortable while living at this property. I can say with confidence, Cypress Gardens is NOT known for bed bugs.
I used to live across the street and I saw that Cypress Gardens was making major changes on the outside. Out of curiosity, I went to the leasing office and the agent was able to show me some renovated apartments. Not only did the place look beautiful from the outside, but the apartments also looked great inside. Within a month, I was able to move in! I may not have moved far, but I definitely moved up!

Thank you for your kind words. You are appreciated as a tenant.
Very large space for apartment size but you sacrifice in maintenance. A beam was rotting under my unit (cable tech found it during my moving), nothing is level or done correctly (switches backwards, caulk is used to fix nearly everything, air conditioner had mold and was told I will need to wait two days (it was dead middle of summer, and im sure you know mold is no joke), graffiti on the laundry room building, riff raff neighbors. Maintenance doesn't fix anything proper, nor do they wipe their feet when entering (BE HOME). Honestly, the size and location to highways is a dream, but the rest is difficult to endure.
