Louisville is the largest city in Kentucky, resting alongside the Ohio River on the Kentucky-Indiana border. The architecture in Louisville is a mix of old and new, with historic neighborhoods comprised of Victorian houses and towering skyscrapers scattered throughout the downtown area, many of which contain upscale apartments and condos available for rent.
The amenities in Louisville are just as diverse as the architecture. Renting in Louisville affords you the opportunity to see the famous Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs, learn more about a boxing legend at the Muhammad Ali Center, and meet a range of animals at the Louisville Zoo. The city’s award-winning restaurant scene is an exemplary display of Southern cooking. Just outside the city lies the Louisville Mega Cavern, a vast underground space offering a broad range of adventurous attractions.

Property Ratings at Cypress Pointe
It's a good place to live very quiet and clean the apartments are spacious and comfortable

We think so too, Anabel! Thanks for the 5 stars and for the wonderful feedback. Our team is here if you need anything in the future, we are happy to help.
I was looking to lease after moving from Texas. I was able to get ahold of the property staff easily multiple times for information on leasing. The only thing is.....most of their units do NOT have w/d connections. They heavily promote multiple times that they have a laundry on site. That's great...but its 2024 and hauling laundry up/down stairs, and doing laundry in public....its just tedious and not desirable at all, and Im not interested in storing my unused w/d in my apartment. Other good features: they take good care of the property. It has hard-to-find covered parking spots! It is convenient and is located in a great area.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! We are always looking for ways to improve the experience of our residents, so we encourage you to contact our office if there is anything we can do for you.
Everything breaks as soon as you move in. It’s so beautiful & nice, after you sign your lease your air will go out about 3 times monthly… that’s not it if you move here get a 3rd floor apartment or make sure the upstairs neighbors aren’t belly plopping in every room . Everything falls off my ceiling when the lady upstairs moves slightly. Meaning yes a light shield fell from my roof… I can’t wait for lease to be up, not to also mention st Matthews police come every night just to oook around buildings with their flashlights. Yessss so very peaceful

We have lived here 4 1/2 years, 3 different Apts in Cypress , I have not placed a review before .But I felt this was so worth sharing .We placed a work order ,as we had pests in our apt, which we moved into 2 months ago. NEVER a problem in any other apartment we lived in. Within a couple days we received a call that pest control would be at our apt within the hour from Mitchell. Brandon from Family Pest & Wildlife Control arrived at our home ,very professional and answered our questions ,We felt very comfortable talking with him. A huge Thank you to Cypress & Brandon ,for your prompt service.
This is the best apartment I've ever rented, excellent customer service!
The staff is amazing! These are great apartments in a great area. The office staff are always friendly and quick to respond to issues. I have loved my time here and will always recommend it to others.

We absolutely loved it there, had we not moved with the government we would still be there. The entire staff is AMAZING! They take the time to get to know their residents and make them feel like “family”. I highly recommend taking a look at this property/apartments.

Toni was our leasing agent and she was the best!! Moving is stressful, and she definitely put my stress at ease, making the process very easy and painless. The apartments have been there for a while, but they are still in great shape! I was worried, considering the fantastic location, that they would be expensive. Definitely not the case! They were still half of what I would’ve paid at some of the higher end new complexes that are new in the surrounding area. Ask for Toni if you go! She is a sweetheart. You won’t be disappointed for sure!

I would definitely recommend living here to anyone!!

The location is great and central to everything. My apartment is awesome too...lots of large closet space, the layout gives more room than it seems for a 1 BR, and the porch is very private as well. I did not get the upgrade, but I still have new amenities over my previous apt: garbage disposal, ice maker, and the oven is self-cleaning and has a timer. The girls in the office were a pleasure to deal with. Lauren was my rep and always answered my many emails promptly. Thank you guys!
Large, abundant closets. Next to two beautiful parks. The good ends there. Both times I have submitted a repair request- both for leaking appliances, it has taken 7+ days to get assistance. It was only when I was completely without hot water for 24 hours that I received a response to my busted, leaking water heater. Although other neighboring apartment complexes have had no problems reopening their pools during the summer of quarantine, the management of Cypress Pointe limited the pool access to ONE 1 1/2 hour visit, per household, per month IF you are able to set up an appointment on a web link system. Everytime I went to make an appointment, they were all taken for the month, so I never actually got to use the pool. The amount of appointments available per month is less than the amount of apartments in this complex so it was never going to be fair. It makes me feel like they just don't want to deal with it. The tennis courts have turned into dog parks. It is common to find 5+ dogs at 10:30 pm barking their heads off with their owners sitting in camping chairs completely ignoring how disruptive it is. Our tennis courts are tucked into residential areas so when a group of dogs starts barking it resonates and you can't cover it up or ignore it. At one point recently there were 9 dogs on the court. NINE DOGS BARKING AT ONCE FOR HOURS. So when you tour the tennis courts, just beware that they are covered in animal waste. I have complained about this multiple times and no one had acknowledged my concerns, which leads me to believe they consider it acceptable behavior. The large trash receptacles are always overflowing with trash and furniture. After a year of living here, not one staff member had waved or said hi as we pass on a daily basis. They seem very unfriendly. Our mail room was recently compromised and now the hours are 8 am to 8 pm. So many times I've stopped to check my mail on my way to work and at 8:15 am and it is still locked. And when I come home from work the postal worker is usually in the mail room, rendering it closed. So my options for checking the mail during the week become very reduced. I REALLY don't like the reduced access to my mail. The grounds outside my building have been alarmingly wet and hold standing water if it rains hard. I was looking for a supportive, fun, comfortable place to live but I have not found it in Cypress Pointe.
I just made 1 year o living at Cypress Pointe and have enjoyed the comfort it has given me as my home and to experience the transition of seasons with delight on this beautiful complex with a great staff. Thank you
I moved here about 2 months ago, and their is not a single thing bad that I could say about this place! The rent prices are very fair for what you get, and the staff is the best I have met! The only thing i wouldn't do is get uverse for cable and internet with their service being subpar at best. Past that, i don't have a single complaint. They have maintenance take care of any issues right away, and are super polite and respectful to not only myself, but my service animal as well. Thanks to the treatment of the wonderful staff, quite particularly Shauna, Toni, and of course Angela, I look forward to spending a lot of time here in this wonderful complex!
The staff here is amazing, and the apartments are nice. Some are outdated, but not bad at all. Maintenance was quick to respond to all my requests. I would definitely recommend living here!
Cypress Pointe IS VERY EXPENSIVE! Its outdated but very nice. The rooms are fairly small but not to small. The closets are big and its a quiet place. There's a pool indoor and out. A exercise room, pool room, and a raquet ball room.
I've lived here twice, 2013-15 and 2017 to now. I have a downstairs neighbor that would get thrown out of a trailer park, so rude and obnoxious. Sits outside drinking beer and belching out loud, that's when hes not yelling and cussing at the TV, or playing ancient country music extremely loud. Threw food out in the yard, that finally stopped after several months of complaining. I hear him through the floor laughing and cussing at 5-6 am. And the cooking smells are horrible. I cannot have friends over because of his rudeness. Every time I get home, he's out there watching like a stalker. I'm looking for a new home ASAP. I don't pay St Matthews rental rates to live in a trailer park.
Where do I even begin? Upon move in I was intelligent enough to view my apartment without signing anything. My move in was originally on a Sunday but I called a month before to see if I could get the keys the Saturday night before because I knew the movers were going to arrive to the complex before the office opened. When first arriving to the apartment NOTHING had been done from the previous resident. There were massive carpet stains, both sinks were cracked, tub was rusted out. This looked like an apartment on West Broadway. Then the flooding started. The breezeway was flooded for months and I had to call and report it over 7 times for maintenance would do anything. Then the roof leaks started. Things are so severe here that I have been forced to contact the health department due to mold. I have very severe mold and mildew allergies and this apartment complex has made me very sick. This mold infested environment is not safe and I do not understand how this apartment is still able to allow residents to live in such horrible conditions.
Fantastic help from Toni and Amia as we made our decision for Cypress Pointe. Could not be happier with our two-bedroom unit. Come see for yourself these fine updated units that are truly affordable. And the service is fast and friendly, every time.
This is not a safe area to live, multiple car brake ins. Rocks thrown through car windshields, trunks open. Cold air seeps through all doors leading into apartment, including balcony door. If you aren’t on the top floor, have fun because you can hear everything, walls shake when people go up/down the stairs. The gym has no updated equipment. 2 treds, one works. Rude staff. Live here for a few months and they become mean and don’t care. I used to love living here, but something happened and the staff just aren’t nice anymore. 1 of them walked in on me not dressed, I had no idea who this person was walking in until I called up and said what happened and told me that it was my fault for this 80 yr old man walking in on me and it was mantance. Lol. Right. Let’s have an 80 yr old man walk in on your daughter not dressed. Then come back and talk to me.

Great move in experience! Amia was so helpful and informative throughout the entire process. My move in dates changed a bunch but she was able to accommodate me. Amia went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for move in. Due to it being Sunday and the cleaning staff was off she even went and cleaned the apartment herself! She is an absolute angel and made me feel right at home. I definitely recommend these apartments.
I have been here less than a year but I've had a great experience working with Britney in the office she takes care of everything I need. Thanks Britney and Toni. -Gary Snyder
A STRANGE MAN JUST WALKED IN TO MY APARTMENT!!! I found out it was the maintenance man. I filed a service request for a new door a month ago. Today someone knocked on my door and I didn't answer because I worked late and was still asleep. I was home alone. When I got up to answer the second time I heard a knock, a strange man opened the door and saw me while I was not fully dressed. I am a young woman and was mortified by this! No one called to let me know that they were coming, so I had NO IDEA who this man was. I called the management office and was told that I had to REQUEST that I be called before someone is sent to my unit. I filed that service request a month ago, how would I know that it was him? The management was not apologetic whatsoever, but rather made me feel like it was MY FAULT for not telling them to call ahead. I don't feel comfortable in my home right now, and Management doesn't care.
I have lived here for two years. Yes, the complex is 30 something years old. They have been doing upgrades around the complex for almost two years!!!!!!!!!!!! The water shut off is not the complexes fault. It is old Louisville Water Company pipes. Point in case, there have been water main breaks around the ENTIRE city. You can only hear conversations if your neighbors are yelling, which I have experienced twice. The office does take complaints serious when you complain about noise and barking dogs. I am paying for my personal space which should not be invaded by disrespectful neighbors. Complain and they will take care it. We did have a period where there was staff turn over however that was when we had Hitler managing the property. She either fired or ran off staff. She was a nut. She was short lived and SHE IS GONE!!!! Thank goodness. The staff is helpful. The maintenance team has 444 apartments to service. They must prioritize their service orders. Critical first. They do a good job. The leasing agents are very helpful. Just today my car battery was dead. I called up to the office and spoke to Brittney to see if anyone in the office had jumper cables. Brittney is one of the leasing agents. She came down and jumped my car. That is going above and beyond the call of duty!! I have only one complaint. People park under the carports who do not pay. This needs to be corrected as it is not fair to those of us who pay. There are two vehicles that park under the carport everyday and do not pay. This is why I am only giving 4 stars. If they would follow through with the process communicated which is to tow cars that do not have a Cypress Parking sticker I would give them 5 stars.
I lived at Cypress Pointe for 6 years. It is a good place to live, and the location cannot be beat. The apartments are a bit outdated, but are large. They are a good value for the price with all things considered. The current office staff is excellent. I have lived in many apartments complexes and my experiences with the staff are generally negative. The same goes for most people I know. However, Amia, Brittany and the rest of the staff at Cypress Pointe are some of the nicest, helpful people out there. They have routinely gone above and beyond to help me out. All in all, I've had a good experience living at Cypress and recommend it to others.
Currently living at Cypress Pointe, been here for more than a year now and I highly recommend it. The surrounding area is safe and quiet, and the people are great. The maintenance staff here are always available to help you out from early in the morning to 5:00-6:00 pm, and are efficient and quick to solve any problem you may have in your apartment. The office staff are extremely friendly, and will also help you out with any questions or issues you may have. Overall I’ve had a great experience, and compared to other surrounding apartment complexes, the apartments here are more spacious and at a better price.
I've lived at Cypress Pointe on three separate occasions. All three times I had to relocate back to Lexington. Loved the apartment's square footage and storage space. I must give a shout out to Brittney in the office this last move I made; she was so knowledgeable about everything about my lease, about maintenance, and remembers my name every time I see her on the property.
I have been a long time resident of Cypress Pointe for over 15 years. Things had taken a downturn in customer service the last 5 years or so with the past management, so much so that I had started looking for a new apartment complex last Spring. However, I am happy to say, a new manager and office staff took over this summer, and things have been rapidly changing for the better. Angela was the first manager to actually come and do a walk thru of my apartment in response to my complaints of needing updates and changes in my older apartment. The office team of Angela, Joey, Amia, and Britney have gone out of their way to make communication a valued attribute, unlike some managers in the past who would avoid residents when possible. They have taken the time to listen to my concerns and have been prompt with corrective action. I am very happy with the changes I have noticed! There are many positives that have kept me here for years, such as the reasonable price, and a great central location near several parks, schools, the malls, and the expressway. The grounds are well-kept and attractive, and I have enjoyed the use of the 3 pools in the complex. I have never had an issue with safety as long as I have lived here. I have been lucky to have some good, long term neighbors, so hopefully with the new management team in charge and continued updates of older apartments, I will continue on here for many years.
hello and thank you for your great service ms.amia did an amazing job and we are very satisfied with her work if it's up to me I would give her an A Thank you from samed and emina
We just worked with Amia to officially put a deposit on an apartment. She was so friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to accommodate us and make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted and stayed past closing to assist us with our application. Without her we also would not have realized that I get a preferred employer discount. We will not move in for a few weeks, but if everything else goes this smoothly, we will be quite happy.
DO NOT RENT HERE! It's a trap. When you first apply, they feed you a bunch of lies to get you to move in and once you do, it's all down hill from there. Office staff is lackluster and sometimes rude, save for a few people. The people who work in the office that are actually good employees don't last long unfortunately. If you get any packages, they hold it hostage for several days for whatever reason and will sometimes say you don't have a package to avoid going back there and looking because they don't want to get up and leave their private phone call on their cell phone. Walls are thin and so are the floors so if you live on the ground level, good luck. You can hear neighbors conversations and movements. The apartments themselves are dated and should be torn down since they are past the point of fixing. Everything breaks down, water pipes freeze everyday in the winter, water is randomly shut down for whatever reason, cracks in the wall, stove won't work half the time, windows don't properly shut. Don't count on maintenance fixing any of these problems, IF they do manage to come over, they merely Doctor it up rather than fix the problem. Most of the time, maintence doesn't bother coming by. Avoid this place at all costs if you want peace of life.
THIS PLACE IS QUIET, PEACEFUL, SAFE AND FRIENDLY. HAS TWO POOLS, ONE INSIDE WITH AN EXERCISE ROOM, A POOL ROOM, RAQUETBALL, LARGE LOUNGE,AND THE OTHER POOL AT THE OTHER END NEAR ME. AWESOME. THE STAFF ARE A LOT OF FUN AND EVERY HELPFUL. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH MAINENANCE. CALL AND SOMEONE COMES OUT PROMPTLY. I WILL LIVE HERE A LONG TIME PLUS I'M 3 MIN FROM WORK AND THREE SHOPPING MALLS. CAN'T BEAT THAT.
I currently live in Cypress Pointe. Like any big apartment complex there are positives and negatives. On the positive side:Grounds and landscaping well kept. Nice amenities, my favorites being 2 outdoor pools and one indoor pool. Excellent, very central location. Located in a safe neighborhood across the street from 2 parks. Neighbors have been nice. On the negative side: Management needs to hire more people for the maintenance crew. Only 4 people on the crew to help repair 450 apartments. They are overworked and short staffed which can lead to a maintenance request back up. Lastly, many of the apartments need modernizing and updates. They are comfortable, but often outdated. Parking can be an issue late at night. On the whole, I have enjoyed the community and park like settings nearby.
