The city of Concord is a large suburb of North Carolina, located just 25 miles northeast of Charlotte. Concord’s history with car racing is legendary, and if you’re interested in renting in the city, you will likely be spending some of your free time at the track!
The Charlotte Motor Speedway is a major NASCAR racing venue and one of the city’s biggest attractions with drag racing, dirt tracks, and a 138,000-seat stadium. This major tourist destination has hosted races such as the Coca-Cola 600, the Bank of America 500, and the Sprint All-Star Race. The first car race was held here in 1960, and the engines haven’t quieted since!
But there’s more to Concord than just the hype of racing. This city is one of Charlotte’s fastest-growing suburbs, and with Downtown Charlotte within quick driving distance, there are plenty of work and entertainment options for Concord residents.

Property Ratings at Cypress Village
I've been residing in this townhome community for a while now, and while there are definitely some positive aspects, there are some glaring issues that need to be addressed. On the positive side, the townhomes themselves are quite pleasant. They offer a comfortable living space. The community is generally well-maintained, providing a visually appealing environment to come home to. The location is convenient, with essential facilities and services in close proximity, making daily life relatively hassle-free. However, the standout issue lies in the customer service provided by the management. Unfortunately, I must use the term 'pathetic' to describe my experience. Communication channels seem to be strained or ineffective, leaving residents feeling unheard and frustrated. Rent-related concerns and inquiries are met with inadequate responses, making it apparent that addressing financial matters with the management is a challenge. This lack of transparency and responsiveness is deeply disappointing and takes away from the overall experience of living here. One particularly concerning point is the significant increase in rent upon lease renewal. It's disheartening to see the management charging an extra $300 for renewal, and even more disconcerting that they demand over $500 extra for a month-to-month arrangement after the lease expires. This steep pricing strategy has led to a considerable portion of residents opting not to renew their leases. This kind of pricing structure feels exploitative and forces residents to reconsider their plans for the long term. If you're planning to stay at these townhomes for more than a year, I would advise caution. The lack of flexibility and the substantial rent hikes make it a challenging choice for anyone looking for stability and affordability in their housing situation. In conclusion, the townhome community has its merits in terms of living space and location, but the glaring issues with customer service and the rent pricing strategy significantly tarnish the overall experience. The management needs to seriously reevaluate their approach if they want to retain residents and foster a more positive living environment.
