Comical that they claim these are "Luxury Apartment". Stay away, far away. They do not manage their tenants. My apartment smelled like weed from the neighbors above and all management did is leave notes. The neighbors would have window-rattling music playing at all hours, management would just call them. The office staff is difficult to work with. Moving out was the best thing I ever did. The grounds were always dirty. Rotches and termites are a real big issue.

We have been in our apartment for 10 days now and I normally dont give reviews but I just have to this time. This is the best apartment complex ever! The tenants are so nice and the office staff is amazing ! If you have any issues they are resolved immediately. Todd who is one of the maintenance staff and he is outstanding. We are 4,5 miles from Anna Marie beaches and here at the complex we have 2 wonderful pools. If you are looking for a place to live this would be your home. My husband and I are so happy here and would recommend this complex to any one

They don't do what they are supposed to as from a landlords perspective. My house can't keep the ac at the appropriate temperature due to poor upkeep of efficiencies. Your visitors will more than likely be towed if not vigilant of your own vehicle. Yet that's more of a commtow problem than the apartments thing... overall terrible experiences regardless.

Let me start by saying at first glance this place looks really nice! HOWEVER, looks can be oh so deceiving. After l lived here for 5 months or so I began having water issues, at least one issue a month. First it was the washing machine leaking, then the dishwasher, then the shower above my unit leaking into my bathroom causing flooding. Then on top of all of this, all of these issues reoccurred! Fast forward to my last day (I broke my lease 4 months early) there after dealing with these water issues for a few months...I saw a live, healthy RAT running in my unit. The maintenance guy admitted that they had been treating for rats and when they put down the poison, rats try to find water and in their search they were causing the multiple leaking/flooding issues I experienced. In addition to this, after turning in my keys as directed by the office staff, they claim they couldn’t find them and almost created even more issues. Needless to say, don’t be fooled by nice demeanor of the staff and the looks of units as there’s more than meets the eye.

After being shown the model, I realized that unless you live in the center the outer periphery is very disappointing. I had emailed and called numerous times to say I’m not interested as I didn’t feel safe. Haven’t heard anything back, and I want my fees refunded!

Ask a lot of questions before you move in, lots of info may get left out before you move in smh oh and by the way the apartments are old don't let the looks fool you
I have been living here about 8 months and it is ridiculous. I have to have maintenance come do something almost every week. My a/c unit has been freezing up for months and won't blow cold air. I have had multiple water leaks where my floor by the front door was totally in half an inch of water. I have another water leak now and it smells like sewage. Its disgusting and I can't wait to move somewhere else. I am paying for a unit with a washer/dryer or at least a hookup...... but of course they lied about that and so since they have been down to one laundry facility here for the last two months, it costs about $10 to do laundry every week(thats what they charge you, not counting my own detergent etc..) and half the time the dryer doesn't even dry it. The maintenance guys are awesome and are probably in way over their heads with the subpar living standards allowed at this place, always having to fix old outdated equipment. Save yourself the headache and time and go somewhere else.
I was duped into this place. They showed me the model unit and declined my request to see an actual unit. I should have known it was a big red flag. When I moved into my unit the first day I was shocked to see how old and run down it was and how much maintenance it needed. The management here is extremely rude and every time I complain about something they are rude to me. Never rent here you'll be very disappointed. The tenants I spoke to here are all having issues with their apts as well as rude service by management. Lots of noisy neighbors as well as smokers by the pool and dirty pools. Luxury living is their slogan but they need to take that slogan down, it's a big lie! Don't let the model pics and the outside pics fool you!
Don't let the pics fool you. Outside may look nice, but inside apts are extremely old from late 60s and no renovating has been done, lots of maintaince issues and they can fix all they want, but they'll always be something that needs fixing. AC is old as well and doesn't function well. We're constantly hot, only obe ceiling by fan and 2 lights in a 2 br 2 bath apt. We had to but lamps and fans. Office staff is very rude and never apologetic for anything that goes wrong. They refused to show us an actual unit when we signed up, only the model was shown. Had we seen an actual unit we would have ran for the road. They also tried to overcharge us for our move in fee when we paid what they asked, we got another bill later saying we owed more money when we didn't. I could go on, but bottom line we regret renting here and can't wait to move out!
When I first moved into Cypress Winds, it was peaceful, no noise whatsoever. I loved my apartment, a cute 2 bedroom. In the last 9 months a large crowd of children (approx. 15 to 25 per day) have decided to gather and play in the grassy areas between buildings toward the back of the property. All I have to say, it would be quieter at an elementary school during recess. The children scream, bounce balls, leave their bikes in the walkways, play on stairs, leave open containers of food and soda and I have even found eaten chicken wing bones left on my stairs (hello rodents!). I am left to pick up after their mess. They ride their bikes in the parking lot in between cars and I have seen several cars get hit and scratched as they ride in between them. What was once nice landscaping, is now just dirt from them playing in the area. The noise is unbearable. When you come home from work, you want to relax and have a nice, peaceful meal. That will never happen as long as the sun is out. They are out there from the time they get home from school until sun down. It is absolutely ridiculous. Summer vacation is coming and it will only get worse. There have been people in nearby buildings that did not renew their leases as well due to the insane amount of noise and had I not waited too long before my lease renewal to find a new place, I would have NEVER renewed my lease here. There is a small play ground for the children, however, children rarely use it. It is too bad, because before the issue with the noise, I would have recommended Cypress Winds to everyone. Maintenance is fantastic, front office is friendly and the tenants are nice. I have never had an issue with neighbors, everything is always quiet, again but that is only when school is in session, it's raining or it's night. There was availability when I moved in for an apartment facing Manatee Ave, I chose not to rent that apartment due to the noise from the traffic, boy did I make a mistake, would have definitely been better than the back area where I am at now. Not sure if there is much management can do, but I would definitely suggest figuring something out because the children are driving the renters elsewhere, there has only been 1 apartment nearby that still have the same tenants as when I moved in. It's too bad.
Location is great close to beach shopping and great scools, it's very pet friendly, grounds are kept nice. There are two pools and a gym. There are two laundry areas if you don't want to rent washer/dryer combo. Office staff are wonderful and maintenance crew quick and effective. On the down side, bbathroom acces from pools not as good as it should be, parking is over crowed, trash location is far for me (but no smell here lol) and no car care center like car wash n vac. They have many group functions meet n greet things although rent is high it's high everywhere around here, location location location right.
