Santa Fe is a blend of the cultures that established the area. In this city, the Old West meets Native American, Spanish, and Mexican cultures. The locals are passionate about art, history, and active lifestyles, with all three easily accessible from anywhere in town. The center of it all is the Santa Fe Plaza, where you can shop, visit art galleries, grab a quick bite to eat, or just sit in the sun.
This historic city is packed full of traditions and excitement. The Burning of Zozobra, also known as Old Man Gloom, is one of the city’s favorite traditions that takes place in September each year. More than 50,000 people turn out each year to cheer on the burning and take part in the festivities. Year-round fun is provided by the countless museums, breweries, delicious restaurants, and shopping destinations scattered throughout town.

Horrible management they’re rude they never communicate through a piece of paper hung on the door, the dumpster was always full, a lot of thing needed to be replaced in my apartment and they never went to fix anything they over charge I’d except this place to be way better if they’re going to charge a lot, I saw a lot of cockroaches

Thank you for your review! We are so happy to see you had a positive experience at Dakota Canyon Apartments! We have an awesome community and pride ourselves on having a great team! Please let us know if we can help with anything in the future.
The only way they notify you about anything is by putting a piece of paper on your door. When they changed parking restrictions, they failed to notify me and booted my car. I was legally parked in my space, which was written in my lease, regardless of new restrictions. They removed the boot free of charge. They overcharge rent as well.

Low quality units, multiple maintenance issues since day one of moving in, but rest assured you'll have all kinds of fees tacked on to your rent even for such crap living spaces. Management is ineffective.

My partner and I moved into our first place together, and after searching around, Dakota Canyon was right up our alley. New management is excellent, very responsive and helpful. Macennia (Property Manager) helped us find a great studio and got us in very quickly, considering we're in the midst of a pandemic. We were welcomed with a great deal of information and have been enjoying our new place. Thank you, Dakota Canyon!!

When I first moved to Dakota canyon apt I loved it. The old management was so helpful, alwas on top of everything, keep the grounds clean and were verry polite when it came to anything. About 8 month after I moved in the owners and management change. During this process they stoped cleaning the area, started making up fees, not responding to phone calls, hidding there manarger and owners number, they started allowing people who did not live there to hang out on property's (old managment made sure you new some one or lived there) and after my house was broken into they refused to mark the damages so I got to pay for it with my deposit (yes it was broken into after they stopped having people leave the property who didn't leave there). Its sad to me that the place i used to call home has gone down hill so much.

We are deeply discouraged by this characterization of our community as it is not indicative of the comfortable home life nor level of service that we strive to provide. Our team prides itself on being transparent in all communications. While we do our best to provide a relaxed and comfortable home life, we - unfortunately - cannot be everywhere at once. We are always willing to work with local law enforcement should the need ever arise. We hope these incidents were reported to the proper authorities and that they were able to assist you. Everyone experiences apartment living differently and we are sorry our community was not a better fit for you personally. You are welcome to call the office if you have any lingering questions or concerns about your time here. Thank you. We wish you luck in your future endeavors.
I've lived here at Dakota Canyons for a year and a half, during which time it has changed ownership and management, and the whole apartment complex has improved as a result. The new managers, Kerri and Suzi, are friendly, approachable, and really care about their resident's quality of life. They've already made several major changes or updates that were long overdue- routine pest control and pest control on request, renovated the pool, and are in the process of renovating the pet area. Whenever I see them in the office they're always friendly, approachable and ready to help. Any repair requests are seen to right away (not like it was under the former owners) and each apartment, when vacated, gets a long-overdue face lift. I originally moved here because the location was great for accessing jobs downtown and the other residents seemed very friendly (most families or folks who are quiet and keep to themselves), but the new management has made living here so much better already! Sincerely, M
