Property Ratings at Dallas Power and Lights Lofts
There is a massive cockroach problem in the building. I definitely wouldn’t drink any of the free coffee I see them running all over. Nice thing is I always have some buddies in the weight room to give me a spot. Management team feels like they go out of there way to be difficult. The front desk girl is nice but there policies are very silly. Feels like I have to ask mom for permission. Also you can’t have guests park here. Wow that’s super inviting . All in all definitely will be moving after my lease is up
I had a water leak for over 3 weeks. The A/C was backed up an leaked water over the slippery stained concrete, from one room in to several rooms. The leak was in the washing room/storage area. It ruined clothing & other things that I had to claim via renters insurance. Two weeks in a row they sent a service technician that, just shop vacuumed the water up. When I complained about it not being fixed properly, they said put some towels down!! The windows in the units during the winter months drip puddles to the floor with condensation. After a while I had large amounts of black mold, which we complained we were getting sick. They hired one of their people to inspect it. I then contacted the city, which they then told me we are willing to let you out of your lease or to a different unit ( costing more and another deposit with no promise the same issues wouldn't be present. I didn't want to because of how the windows looked as well as water damage around them.) . The problem with this is that I would have to take more time away from work which I have missed a lot having to go to the hospital for my 4 year old son. This leaves me to have to pay for another deposit & more time I can't afford away from work to move. They towed my car from my parking spot, that I pay monthly for because it was a rental, which they knew I had my car in the shop. I have repeatedly asked for a new parking spot, the one I requested they told me wasn't available until May 31st. There is a new tenant in that spot with a sticker that say valid until next year.( I have been here for at least 7 months and still don't have a sticker ) I have service request from when I moved in that have yet to be completed. I fill out service request and on there, it ask if they have permission to enter the facility. I checked no, because the other half does not work, and would be available to be present when the work is complete. They enter without my consent several times. to put bleach around the windows etc... to cover there tracks. I have a hidden camera they didn't know about. This whole ordeal is a mess. Lastly, there isn't any staff after 9-5, so if you work one plan on missing work to follow up or get something done. You also can't get delivery here to your door. there are rats in the building. Remember for every complaint like this, there were several that just moved on and took the loss. I will be seeking lawyer on this matter to see if there is a way to leave this situation in a fair way

this building is one of two, part of the same property. I love how the units are very friendly toward apartment dwellers, which I cannot say for every place downtown. It is stylish, well kept, and up to date. every month there's some kind of event to enjoy as a resident. From time to time the ballroom is rented out for weddings, proms, meetings, and other events, so the elevators aren't always ready at your leisure, but the energy of congregation is exciting and presents opportunity to crash a party or two. overall, the place is great. the only con to it is the presence of dog feces all throughout the unkempt lawn in the front, from which all the old trees were cut.
