Beloved for its proximity to both the Jersey Shore and New York City, the central region of Middlesex County sits about 40 miles southwest of Midtown Manhattan. Nearby New Brunswick, home to Rutgers University, provides access to a rich, local arts and culture hub. This neighborhood is ideal for those seeking a quiet, suburban setting not far removed from nearby entertainment and amenities. Mid- and low-rise apartment communities in the northern section of the neighborhood give way to more single-family homes fit for a variety of renters. Interstate 95 and a host of other thoroughfares make commuting around the area a breeze.

Property Ratings at Deer Creek Village
The rent is very affordable but when you actually spend sometime there you realize your overpaying..with very limited parking almost zero amenities and laundry mat barely standing…landscaping managing dead trees and shrubs…parking lot filled with more pot holes then New York City on rainy days turns community pool which gives a stench of boiling mud. With a one maintenance crew how can anything ever really get fixed. More so band aids. But here is the kicker if it doesn’t get fixed don’t worry they will charge you at the end of your lease. AC unit blows hot air and the carpet is tupaee for the moldy floors that lay beneath. Bathroom set up might as well be an outhouse with no air circulation don’t ever plan on actually closing your bathroom door. The kitchen with fisher price electric stove microwave would do the job better and as far the oven since it seems to be from 1975 a toaster oven would be the best choice to use. As far as the private entrance yes it is which includes a friendly warm welcome of bugs and flies that seem to hang out in the entrance area. They did have a home remedy by hanging a tape from the ceiling to attract flies only some fall for the trap. Place is a joke.
Seems like a decent value, but management is horrible. Maintenance issues are never fully solved. Very rude and condescending manager. Quiet street, not the best neighborhood. Apartment never flooded, but the street did regularly. Regularly had sewage back up into my tub, they never fixed the problem. Hacked up a quarter of my kitchen floor for another "plumbing issue" and took weeks to repair the hole, rendering my kitchen unusable. The only response the nigh constant issues were "well things happen". Deciding to live here was one of the worst choices I've ever made.
I have lived in Deer Creek Village since May of 2011 I moved here after my mother passed away because it was affordable mainly. Upon moving in i found that everyone was so nice the staff even have me a welcoming gift. I did know that it was a flood zone so i requested a second floor apartment which is what i got. The manager Sandy was very upfront about what could possible happen in a bad storm meaning flooding. They are very prompt with repairs I lived in a 3br house prior for 11 years and didn't get this kind of attention from the landlord when I had just a small leak. The maintenance man lives in the complex and he's very attentive when there are issues. It's now August 2015 and I'm still not ready to leave this is the best place I've lived and the grounds are always kept clean grass cut hedges groomed it is quiet and beautiful the kids all hang out at the end of the complex its just a very comfortable clean affordable apartment complex couldn't have asked for a better place.
I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience in this great apartment community! The woman who runs the office treats everyone like family, and many of my neighbors have been so friendly and welcoming. It's quiet and safe, and I was immediately made to feel at ease here. It's close to the main part of town and a short drive to many local shopping centers and major highways. I have had many apartment experiences but this one rates at the top for me!
The apartment is nice but it is located 10 feet away from a bay of water. You will have to leave your apartment when every a hurricane occurs. When Sandy hit all the apartments on the first floor was flooded out. All first floor apartment people lost everything!!!!! You can get an apartment on the second floor but you will have to leave when every its a storm/ hurricane. Also, you will not have any heat, when the power is lost because the stove is electric. Renters insurance does not include flood!! If you choose to live here just make sure you have about 1400 to stay in a hotel while a hurricane is occuring.
