Property Ratings at Del Sol Apartments
Just moved in with doubts in mind since seeing these reviews but i found out they have new management and plan to renovate this place completely so id say its going good! very friendly staff and outside of the property looks great!
Since the new management company took over the the place is looking amazing! They are very professional and very attentive to all of the tenants.
I really don’t know where to start on this trash heap. So I’ll just list all the terrible things that happened in my year long lease. First, I can say with confidence that this is the worst living decision I’ve made. Don’t ever live here!! I went two weekends with no AC in summer, no hot water for 3, there was a robbery, my sisters car had a bullet lodged in it from a neighbor fight in the parking lot.. which we had nothing to do with. Trash is always everywhere, maintenance doesn’t know how to fix a single thing bc they come back over and over to fix it. A maintenance man walked in without even knocking and used a key! Lol my dog almost killed him.. The office tried to get more money out of us twice, saying we didn’t pay rent. When given proof it’s a “office mistake” Dogs ran loose all the time and feral cats run the place. Also, I’ve had many thieves try to brake into my cars. When confronted with dangerous issues affecting my safety, they said nothing had happened to me and they would never let me out of my lease. I even walked around with a taser when walking my dog and NEVER walked at night. For your safety and well being, never live here.
This place is HORRIBLE. Trash is always everywhere it's a dump. They don't respond to any maintenance issues after 5 times calling. Everyone that work here in the office including maintenance are all family members so no wonder nothing ever gets done. Lazy workers and highly rude, aggressive and dont care attitudes. Irene is the worst. We asked her to fix an issue for our billing statement and she tried to brush it off saying it wasn't the apartments problem. With her lack of knowledge it did end up being an error on the apartments and management fixed it after stating "we will do it this one time only". Irene is constantly rude, aggressive and a lazy employee. Stay away from this place. The A/Cs barely worked. Only half the apartment was cold and other half wasn't. Dishwasher was falling out on the floor each time you pull out to put dishes away, roaches everywhere even after they exterminate, and overflowing water coming up in bath tubs and toilets. DRUG DEALERS throughout complex. Constant bad traffic from buyers throughout the whole night. Weed being smoked everywhere. Unattended kids running around, fighting, bullying, and breaking things from the dumpster and leaving it out.
My son lives at this apartment and when you pull in the parking lot there so much trash blowing around the parking lot and mattresses laying around it’s very disgusting . Also multiple people walking around openly smoking marijuana . They never painted the trim in his hallway just left Bairwood didn’t put doors for wash machine room been there seven months talking about a real filthy place
This is the WORST apartment complex I've ever had to deal with! I've complained to the front office numerous times concerning a mold problem and nothing was done about it. I began feeling sick and demanded that I be let out of my lease. They denied my request and lied stating I never made any work orders concerning mold! After a week of going back and forth with the rude staff members, I agreed to have an outside contractor come in to fix the mold problem and requested that I be reimbursed for the week that I was out of the apartment due to the mold infestation. Some rude manager name Irene called me and claimed that they won't reimburse me because they were privately owned and didn't have to and she also refused to give me the name, number or company information to her higher ups! So I am now forced to pay for a week of renting while the living conditions were uninhabitable!! If I could rate this apartment a 0/10 I would ! DO NOT MOVE HERE!
I have been lied to as of day one. First lie - Location of the apartment within the complex. Second lie - Just after giving a 250.00 deposit and being presented with the lease agreement, there is no mention of the 250.00 deposit. When questioned, I was told the 250.00 is admin fees. However, they refused to document in writing that's what the money is used for. Third lie - The apartment would be updated with dark kitchen cabinets and new flooring. The kitchen cabinets are beige and the floor has multiple bubbles and different colors of paint. If the flooring was new, there should be no paint on it, or the same color as the paint on the walls. Fourth lie - Apartment would be exterminated monthly. This has never happened. The kitchen cabinets look like they have had severe water damage. The shelves do not have flat surfaces. Roaches galore, one actually hit me in the head one night as I lie in bed. Living room AC opening doesn't even have a register. Dishwasher isn't level. Refrigerator has no vegetable or fruit drawers. No drain plug in the bathroom sink.
My daughter lives there. She is a single mom with 3 kids. The youngest is just over a month old. The day she brought her newborn home her air conditioner went out. They say they are fixing the problem. They don't answer the after hours number half the time. The come out and fix it. It lasts at most 3 days and is out again. I am really concerned because her & her kids are not feeling well. I think the biggest part is getting hot, cold, hot, cold. They say they can't deduct it from rent, they couldn't knock some off it she was going to be a week late paying, and if she moved before her lease is up, she could not get her deposit back. I have never, ever seen somewhere care so much. What a joke. I am trying to help her check into what her options are at this point. She doesn't want to cause problems, she just wants her a/c fixed.
Worse place to live. Management is horrible. Roaches everywhere. Literally got hospitalized for cleaning so much with harsh chemical to keep the roaches away while I was pregnant. Cheap paint job and highly priced for just one bedroom. If you like your living to be like this? Than you are more than welcome here but otherwise, look somewhere else. And your welcome. ( saddy's voice from Awkward)
If you like roaches and horrible management then you should call this place home! I've lived here for almost a year and can not wait for my lease to be up! If you have a problem you need fixed it takes them days to come look at it. They prefer you pay your rent online but to pay online they charge a $20 fee. The feral cat struggle is real over here so the smell of un-neutered cat urine is very present.
I've been here for about a year and a half now, when I lived in the upstairs apartment and it was carpet the roaches were bad no matter how clean I've kept it and kept the carpets clean and if something was broke don't expect them to come anytime soon to fix it. Now that I live down stairs with tile the roaches aren't as bad but there's still some. And Again if something breaks it takes them forever to come and fix it even a clogged sink, toilet, broken a/c they are not in any hurry to fix it. They have poor lighting outside which doesn't make me feel safe if I'm out after dark with my child. I should have moved out of here a long time ago but it's just a hassle to move everything and so forth but as soon as my lease is up I will be getting out of here.
Its ok. Just ok. Lots of things haven't been fixed really. Carpet was new and the paint was new, but yea.
