these apartments are really old! don't let the new appliances fool you. wiring needs to be replaced, from the 70s/80s. constant problems with ac even though its been replaced. water constantly floods the hallway from ac. maintenance is zero help, been waiting for this to be fixed for over 4 months! the electricity will go out in the entire apartment if you use an air fryer and microwave at same time and if you use the microwave for longer than 3 and a half minutes. there are so many problems with these apartments i could fill 20 pages with what we have to deal with daily. do yourself a favor and don't move in!
Remodeled apartment looks okay but it's low quality upgrades. I moved in three weeks ago and have been dealing with constant drain flies. I have spent nearly $40 to get rid of them with no luck and the exterminator sprayed stuff down my drains that did nothing. My apartment is infested and spent first two weekends at boyfriend's due to the bugs! One poor maintenance guy trying to keep up with 300 plus units that are old is ridiculous. Price is insanity for the square foot and homeless person lives four feet from where I park my vehicle. Also, they get you in the door with one price but then learn that you have to pay $25 a month for valet trash even if you don't use it because if you leave your trash can out after 9 am, they fine you $25. A day! So less than half the community uses it. They also tack on a maintenance fee. WTF for? Maintaining the property is the cost of running a business.
Roaches everywhere, weird smells, dirty and constant unkept maintenance.
This apartment is in a dangerous area. People live in their cars in the parking lot here and police are always around due to the high crime rate. Things are always getting stolen, including people’s catalytic converters. The photos on this website are a lie. They won’t show you that every unit is roach infested and there are major structural problems with the buildings. We’ve had massive water leaks and problems with the drywall caving in. I highly suggest *READING THE GOOGLE REVIEWS* of this property before deciding to move here. You’ll see 40+ negative reviews citing the same issues we’ve had. There have also been reports of bed bugs.

Roaches that don’t go away despite the exterminators coming in. Bad neighborhood and terrible customer service. Go somewhere else that’s cheaper and won’t leave you unable to have company over because of how many roaches there are. (We are clean people too, doesn’t matter)

The entire place is infested with roaches. We noticed them 2 days into our lease. When we went to the leasing office to complain they got angry and defensive. This was a Monday and the earliest they offered to come spray was Friday. Spraying didn’t fix the problem though. We’ve had a leak INSIDE the bathroom wall for at least 6 months which has caused a lot of mold to grow. They’ve been out to “fix” it numerous times - and by that I mean they’ve ripped our wall out and sprayed it with FlexSeal. The bathtub faucet won’t shut off since the last time they came to “fix” the wall leak. It’s a good thing we pay a flat fee for the water bill! The amount they charge for this place is insane. You could pay the same price and live in a much better area. Don’t keep anything on your porch, as it WILL get stolen. Someone cut our bike lock and snatched them off our porch in the middle of the night. Don’t recommend this place to anyone.
This is my second year here and I regret staying. The remodeled units are cute but not worth the rent. Walls are paper thin so you hear everything your neighbors are saying. My lease is up in October and I can’t wait to be out of here.

I visited my mom for Christmas and this place is AWFUL!! Roaches galore and so much cigarette and weed smoke. My mom doesn't smoke but you can viabily see the smoke in her apartment. It smells so bad I had to get a hotel. My mom has told her management about the smoking at least 10 times but all they say is "We are looking into it". Meanwhile my mother with asthma continues to get sick. She has also asked for a different apartment but they just ignore her. They had the nerve to raise the rent on her too. Unless you enjoy roaches and smoke don't move here!
All I have experienced since moving here is lies. My first unit here was awful I was promised new management would fix it. They refused I was told if I moved to a remodeled unit I wouldn’t have to worry about the cabinets cause they would be new . My remodeled unit wasn’t complete on move in. It took three weeks to get the cabinets complete and only the doors are new. I was told I would have a $500 concession and would not be charged for the state of the first unit. This was a lie the first management company didn’t do a walk through and my pets were blamed for the state of the carpet. My concession was taken and I couldn’t fight this since there was no proof. The cabinet boxes are rotted and warped the grout around the tiles and baseboards were never done correctly. In the tub this cracks and splits constantly. Maintenance staff is rude and doesn’t show to scheduled jobs. When they do show the job is never completed and they make a lot of promises they don’t keep. For the price they charge assigned parking would be great but there isn’t any. If you’re not here by 8:45pm you can’t park. Be ware the police helicopters is constantly out do to car theft. My car and apartment were both broken into and my purse was stolen and a bike. The office is poorly managed my information was sold to a rental insurance company along with everyone else’s even though I have my own rental insurance a policy was set up in my name I can not cancel. The dishwasher is new but makes a grinding noise. A very select few of the neighbors are kind. My sons birthday party was ruined this summer by a resident who was clearly high and pushed my son. We are counting down the days until we can move. P.S. As soon as I moved from my first unit it was remodeled and fixed for the maintenance man to move in.
Roaches in the apartments, Ac and everything keep breakinh, because of poor mentenance and lack of skill. Manager not so nice. They never do what they say their gonna do or fix stuff that are broken.
I highly recommend this property! After owning my own home for 10 years in Oregon, the thought of moving back to an apartment was not the "New Dream Life" I had hoped for when moving to AZ. After a brief nightmare experience "renting" a room from a stranger, I found myself in an urgent situation to move. I was sent to Delano by a 'locator' (all of this was so new to me!) and was immediately impressed with the one level, almost duplex-like type clusters of apartments. The property was very rustic and cozy! I loved that it did not have that "apartment complex" type feel. We met with the property manager, Jennifer, and was immediately impressed by her bubbly, yet professional personality. She was very knowledgeable, and even with a leasing agent there, she took the time to walk us around and tour the apartment and property. (We would discover in the weeks to follow that this was not an act but that Jennifer was just genuinely kind and attentive all the time!) The property is currently under full renovation yet the maintenance guys are right on top of any maintenance requests that come in. They are super polite and very considerate. The entire staff at Delano is superb! My apartment was the other thing that really surprised me. Due to the square footage on paper I really thought that it would be way too small. You can imagine my pleasure when I discovered that the way that it is laid out, it fits us just fine! The upgrades are amazing! The granite counter-tops in the kitchen and bath are simply gorgeous! The brand new stainless steel appliances (that literally had the plastic seal removed the day before we moved in) are an elegant touch that pairs perfectly with the beautiful new lighting fixtures. I was also hesitant at first at the idea of a stack-able washer and dryer, however I was extremely impressed with my brand new all digital washer and dryer with the glass doors. All of the upgrades go perfectly with the appearance of the rustic wood style flooring! As the weeks passed I realized that I had yet to hear my neighbors!?! WHAT??? Living in an apartment and no neighbor noise?!?! This place was perfect! I S2 has gone above and beyond with the renovations at Delano. This really is a beautiful place to live. They amenities are perfect, they take packages at the office for the tenants, provide pest control at no cost to tenant, 24/7 fitness room, pool and biz center. I highly recommend this place!
It’s not what it seems, they show you a model, i moved in with no cabinet faces and a big mess that the manager said would be cleaned, it’s a lie! This place is a total dump, no one cares about how you live, I’m missing blinds, the drawers don’t close causing my sons fingers to be pinched! I got pizza for the bad move in, this place is horrible! I have a leaky sink, leaky air, ceiling tiles like in an office setting that sag due to water, a damaged toilet, a damaged floor due to water damage, they don’t care! Don’t rent here it’s not what it seems!!!!!!!
i was lucky to find this place last december. i had a few issues but the manager and repair men always fix things up. my contract ends soon and i cant afford the rent increase so im moving out. im sad because this location is goo and the people that work here make me feel important
Things have really changed here. Use to be called Sonoma Villas. The new management is very professional and things are definitely changing for the better
LET ME START OFF BY SAYING...WHAT THEY SHOW AS A DISPLAY WILL NOT BE WHAT YOU GET. MY SCHEDULED MOVE IN WAS A TOTAL DISASTER. I SIGNED MY LEASE BUT NO COPY OF THE CONTRACT WAS GIVEN TO ME EVEN THOUGH I ASKED FOR MY COPY TWICE, AS I DID MY WALK-IN THE PLACE WAS FILTHY WITH WRITING ALL OVER, DEAD BUGS, CABINETS WERE ALL BROKEN, MAYBE EVEN MOLD ON THE WINDOWS NOT SURE YET...I QUICKLY WENT BACK TO THE OFFICE TO RETURN MY WALK-IN PAPERWORK. ADVISED "TONY" WHAT I SAW & HOW AN APT SHOULD NOT BE RENTED OUT WITHOUT THEM CHECKING IT AS WELL BEFORE A TENANT MOVES IN & SHE APOLOGIZED. THEN I WAS ADVISED THAT MY APT WAS GOING TO BE READY THE MONDAY AFTER THE SATURDAY THAT MY MOVE-IN WAS SCHEDULED. MONDAY COMES AROUND, I GO CHECK ON THE APT & IT WAS STILL A MESS. I WENT & TALKED TO THE OFFICE & ALL THEY DO IS APOLOGIZE & SAY IT WILL BE READY TUESDAY MORNING. I DID CALL AROUND 1:50 PM & OF COURSE THE APT WASN'T CLEANED LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE. NEEDLESS TO SAY MATT IS ONE OF THE WORST CUSTOMER REPS/AGENT/RECEPTIONIST EVER. MATT WILL TALK OVER YOU & WILL NO SYMPATHIES AT ALL. JOHN THE MANAGER PROBABLY TRAINED MATT BECAUSE THEY BOTH ARE RUDE AS CAN BE. I WOULD SUGGEST TO ANYONE THINKING OF MOVING IN TO TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS APT COMPLEX TO ANYONE. TO BE CONTINUED SINCE I HAVEN'T GOTTEN TO MOVE IN DUE TO THE INCOMPETENCE OF THE OFFICE & CLEANING SERVICES THEY PROVIDE/OFFER.
If you move here be prepared not to recieve your deposit back even if you leave it in good condition! they will make something up in order for you to pay more out of pocket! they are money hungry apartments that is overprice and everything is outdated! take time searching for something cheaper/ private owned!
The good thing is they will take evictions but they recently up there rent almost for a two bedroom around 800$ not worth it ! These are only 600-700 sqft.. And there outdated, my oven is atleast 20 years old and worn down, water always smells when doing dishes or washing clothes, even had my toilet back up into my tub twice in 6months, it was nasty! I'd say you get what you pay for but these places are over priced in my opinion. Moving in a few months!
I was looking for somewhere to live for 3 months solid. I have 1 eviction under my belt that happen cause i subleased an apt... Sonoma was the only Apts that took me its a little over budget but my kids and I need somewhere to live..its quite..clean open floor plan..washer and dryer best feature no carpet. I LOVE my apt..love the management.. So if you have rental history you can restart a new one here..tell them I sent you I get a reffereal bonus...
