Denbigh Village

Currently deployed I needed an apartment to come back to for me and my roommate. While my roommate was moving in our stuff on the first day he encounter roaches in the apartment and not just a few, 10 plus and most of them alive. The only response I have received from the office worker James is "there is nothing I can do" he tried calling the property manager and nothing and he left 20 minutes later because it was the end of his shift leaving me and my roommate with nothing. Horrible customer service do not look here

They have a certain carpet company come out when you leave and regardless of the state of the carpet you WILL be charged. The area is rough and the community is very loud. Maintenance people are super rude. Overall a terrible experience!

I was in the process of moving to WDV. However I didn’t get to move there. Due to personal reasons. However Anna was very helpful along with the rest of the office team.

ATTEMPTED MURDER and a RUDE and INCOMPETENT staff have contributed to my dismally negative view of this unsafe and dangerous apartment community. STAY AWAY! If it wasn't bad enough that someone was literally shot in an attempted murder almost immediately outside of my unit, the management's response to the resident's concerns has been totally inadequate. Add to that the rising crime in the immediate area and it's unacceptable that they haven't put in place common sense measures to ensure our safety. Add to that SEVERAL unacceptable events by the leasing office such as my being overcharged for water in excess of $900 and it taking almost TWO YEARS for them to finally issue a credit and replace my water meter after me having to send several emails and make several calls and stops to the office AND provide a chart with my own assessment of the overcharges. Add to that the maintenance team losing their copy of the key to my unit, compromising my security. It took them several weeks to change the locks. Add to that one of the office staff releasing my private and personal information to a third party without my consent. Add to that them trying to change my move-out date from August to September and charge me an additional month due to their own confusion and "misplacing" of the paperwork that stated my actual move-out date was August. I was blamed for this, sent letters and voicemails threatening legal action until they eventually found the paper work stating my correct move-out date. The worst part of all was that I was sent rude emails by the above property manager Angelique and was blamed for the incident on an extremely rude phone call until she realized she was completely uninformed about the entire situation and had to retract those emails. This has been the absolute WORST apartment complex in which I have ever lived and I can't warn you enough to turn away. It is unsafe, the office team is uncaring and unprofessional and rude. STAY AWAY.

I love leaving here it's quite and it's minutes away from every need shopping food etc and the staff is great!

When I came across Waverton Denbigh Village I knew that was going to be my home. The staff is magnificent and the apartments are super nice and clean. Theres a lot of shopping centers and fun things to do around. I'm happy with the decision me and my husband made. Totally recommend these apartments:)

We have found this property to be managed very well. It is a pleasure to deal with the office staff and the maintenance team. Would highly recommend this community to become a home for anyone.

The staff if great and the apartments are spacious. It's definitely the best apartment complex in Newport News.

The ladies in the office are always friendly and ready to help! They plan activities such as resident appreciation week which is my favorite! It is quiet and the property is always well maintained!

I moved here about a year ago and I love living here. there is a pool and a gym. quit out here and I love the people in the office very nice . I'm rating my apartment because I have came a long ways from being homeless with my 7 year son to my home . Thank You

Free Rent for a Year: Denbigh Village is my very first apartment, and yet, it may be an apartment but it definately gives the look and feel of a miniature house. With all black appliances, a stainless steel sink, beautiful dark brown finished cabinets and a sleek modern design, this apartment has been my dream come true! I absolutely love it. I currently stay in the one bedroom, Hickory, with my boyfriend and we really enjoy it here. Not to mention the patio (& apartment in whole) is very spacious and peaceful, especially from the fourth floor. The community is also great to live in and is right near the stores we like best. The design and newly built housing drew me into Denbigh Village. I honestly have no complaints about the apartment and plan to stay here for a while! Love it! Free Rent for Life: In addition to the above statement, I'd like to add that the elevator is very useful to the apartment complex. Also, I like having the trash compactor instead of seeing/smelling random trash dumpsters like you see at any other apartment complex. For those of you who are worried about parking, that is not a problem here, there is ample parking available. The amenities available to the community are also great, including the pool and the gym - with a community grill! I will say that I'd love to see a greater selection of machines in the gym though - I'm sure their going to add more, as this apartment was just built. I'd also love to see a park for kids possibly built in the near future - that would be the icing on the cake! Above all, the current staff members are very pleasant and always helpful. Denbigh Village is by far the best apartment in Newport News and I love living here! I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a place to live.

THE APARTMENTS ARE NICE AND SO ARE THE STAFF, THE ONLY THING THAT KEEPS THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX FROM BEING GREAT IS THAT THE SPACE INSIDE THE APARTMENTS ARE UTILIZED VERY GOOD. I HAVE THE BIGGEST ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT THEY OFFER AND I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO STORAGE SPACE. OTHER THAN THAT THEY NEED ONE MORE TRASH COMPACTOR, AND SOME FREE WEIGHTS IN THE GYM. OTHER THAN THAT THIS PLACE IS NICE AND QUIET AND LOCATED IN A GREAT AREA.

love my community and apartment.Denbigh Village has only been here here a year 2 at the most.What I like the most is the fact I can visit the gym at any given time which is a big plus in my book seeing how i'm disabled. the treadmill is very helpful on those days I just don't feel like leaving my community.. The staff are pleasant and professional.This is the first apartment community I know of with elevators for easy excesses for handicap/disabled . Nice location surrounded by stores,malls,restaurants , highway....

My wife and I were searching for our first apartment when we came across Denbigh Village. At first she wasn't sure because she wanted a place closer to where she worked. But after I convinced her to check it out, she was immediately sold. The apartments are new, so the quality of the apartment is very nice. The outside looks great, but the inside is spacious and looks incredible. Even the one bedroom units are surprisingly big. The kitchen is amazing, and the bathroom is just great. If you're new to the area like me, you might assume the local area doesn't look like much. But looks can be deceiving. I have found that there are tons of places to shop, eat, have fun all within a very short drive. It's a very convenient location. Almost forgot to mention the pool, I'm not much of a swimmer but the pool area looks very nice. It even has a grill. There's also the gym. All brand new equipment, very clean, very nice. I highly recommend it.

This is my first apartment on my own and I have to say that I just love it here. It's very quiet. A great place for children to live. It's close to many restaurants and I love how their are multiple law enforcement personnel who live out here. I'm glad I chose denbigh village as my home.

I just moved here. And at first site, the apartment buildings were beautiful. I go into the leasing office and everyone was friendly and welcoming. They had great rates going at the time because the buildings are brand new. I rent a one bedroom apt and it's spacious and beautiful. Just how I like it. They sold me with the look and price! It's quiet and homey!!! I love my new apt and community

When my husband and I first looked into Denbigh we were amazed at the way they looked on the inside and outside and then when we seen they were affordable as well. We were immediately in love. Since we have been here the community is kept well and the neighborhood is decent as well. The apartment staff is friendly and makes you feel apart of the community. We have enjoyed the amenities here as well. Our two bedroom apartment is very spacious and my husband loves how he can come home and feel like this is were he belongs as well as having a nice view to look at. It's not the best view but coming from our last place of residence it is nice. We love how they have enough lightening in the parking lot and security on grounds. Makes you feel safe. I have enjoyed my stay here so far!!! Would recommend to a friend(:

Curb appeal is fantastic. Management is fantastic. Once you are inside, however, you can tell the buildings were put up in a hurry. Shotty craftsmanship is abundant throughout the apartment. You get what you pay for and nothing more.

This is an amazing place to live. I mean I never would have thought I could live in beautiful building like this one. Mine you this is my 1st apartment . So I'm truly blessed to live out here just to wake up in the morning an say I live in an nice community. I also love all people the that manage the office they're very friendly and very understanding to fix every problem that needs to be done . Kierra B, Newport News Va
