Situated in west Texas along the Rio Grande, just north of the United States-Mexico border, El Paso embraces the past while building the future. Chamizal National Memorial, a museum and park, honors the peaceful settlement of the Chamizal boundary dispute while the University of Texas at El Paso fosters tomorrow’s leaders.
El Paso is known as the Sun City, boasting over 300 days of sunshine every year. There are plenty of venues to enjoy the frequent sunshine, including the El Paso Zoo, Franklin Mountains State Park, and nearby Wet n Wild Waterworld. The Rio Grande is a popular spot for whitewater rafting, canoeing, and fishing as well.
Should you want to head indoors, you have the option to catch a performance at the Plaza Theatre, indulge in authentic Mexican cuisine, admire the works in the El Paso Museum of Art, and tour the El Paso Museum of History in addition to the El Paso Holocaust Museum and Study Center.

Property Ratings at Desert Villas
Initiating contact was extremely difficult as they are co-managed with another property. I also saw frustration with their current tenants while they were requesting maintenance assistance again. That, should have been my red flag. I gave my deposit and was given my move-in date. The office manager gave me a window of time to show up to pick up my keys for move-in. I showed up with my U-Haul loaded, helpers and was ready to go when she told me that they needed more time to get my unit ready. I assumed going to get a bite to eat would be ample time but what she really needed was 3 to 4 more days. Really!! I had just cleared out from my previous location and could not go back and move in. I was enraged and panicking over where my family would sleep for that night so I drove to the Phoenix Apt. Luckily, the office manager there was very understanding and understood my situation. I moved in within the hour to their clean, spacious and very well maintained and well secured complex. I am so so happy and thank God for the inapt, discourteous and unprofessional staff that led me to where I am now. I could not even go back for my deposit because she said it was non-refundable. They can keep the money and apply it on some training. Sandra
It's a nice complex with a little picnic area and trail to go walking or running, a nice pool and good area to live.
