Property Ratings at DeSoto Town Center
If you are looking for an Apartment with experienced management, lots of amenities, quiet living, a modern interior, beautiful, well-kept grounds, and easy access to local stores, restaurants, and parks, then this is your place. I lived at Desoto Town Center for four years and almost hated leaving. Kim and Sandra are great managers striving to provide their residents with the best possible experience. It's like having an Aunt(Kim) and a cousin(Sandra) in the leasing office. They always ask, "How is everything?" and "Is there anything we can do to improve?" *** F.Y.I. They always keep a full candy bowl in the office****
Sandra and Kim are very nice they made this experience run smoothly didn’t have any problems. They answered any questions that I had. Love my new home and view. I would recommend these apartments to someone that is looking. Thank for making my experience stress free
Location is okay but improvements need to be made for residents in the parking garage.
Desoto Town Center is absolutely the best place to live.
I have been blessed to be here for the last 4 years, I am enjoying the Desoto Town Center experience. I feel safe here, I can't wait to see what 2023 will bring!!
I have lived in a number of apartment complexes and Byron is the most professional, courteous and excellent in providing service that I have ever encountered.
It is a nice place to live but not very secure. None of the gates are locked
The hardwood floors were harsh on my back and hips. I had to wear sneakers and a back brace to cook and clean up.
In some aspects, I would recommend because it's near convenient stores and shopping is very accessible, whether you own a car or not. On the other hand, I'm hesitant because there are times where I don't feel safe due to the public garage and fighting amongst other residents. The back gate is never locked and anyone can walk into the building. The gate in the mail area is never locked and I've been approached by potential thiefs trying to gain access to the Luxor lockers. Also, the flood light is right at my bedroom window and also the light that over looks the pool in the fire pit. This takes privacy away from my patio at night and also sleeping ...
Physical building not maintained with security downgraded due to access to the building in areas that used to be secure.
Conveniently located in an area near restaurants and grocery stores. Parking garage is a plus but parking is horrible.
No security in this building is an issue. No cameras not locked gates is an issue
So far the property management team have been very professional, the property is clean, and quiet.
It’s beautiful, simple and surrounded by just about everything anyone could need to live. I also like how discretely it’s located
Customer Service is very good and apartment community is great!
Everything that a person could ask for all in one place. Nice top quality appliances.
This has to be the best place I have ever lived!
A like the entire setup of the place. Staff is friendly and courteous.
They have a fast response time and they make sure you'??re satisfied.
Online applications needs to be better. When make ready person is sick a qualified person should be available I had to clean and still cleaning areas I should not have to Pets should not be allowed to go to the bathroom in front of my door. People with children should not allow them to run back and forth upstairs for over 3 hours or at all.
I would recommend a friend or family however I understand that the parking situation is a bit concerning because of the area that it shares with other businesses and of course when there are events in the community. And that alone can be a deciding factor regarding the parking spaces available or not!
It is a very clean community, and I certainly feel safe here.
I will be moving two daughters into complex if they are successful in joining the Baylor project which is hiring in April for next wave!
I feel safe, I enjoy the space, my apartment fulfills my needs.
Everything was great, except the key doba never worked. I always had to walk to another door and use a code.
I would recommend this community based primarily on management/maintenance, location, design, and security. I also never had a problem with insects or other pests.
I feel the property is neat and clean with good amenities. But my move in date AWFUL. Nothing was prepared or organized but staff worked to correct issues
yes
Noise level was my biggest complaint. Parties at the pool loud noise and music. Non-residents access to the pool area.
I would highly recommend this apartment complex because it is definitely "high quality living" compared to most. Whether or not, the service is up to standard, it is still a great place to live.
I would recommend Town Center Apartments because they're nice clean, and in a very nice location. Convenient to medical, and commerical businesses.
The only problem i had was i thought my concerns about looking for a home were understood, i needed a 6 month lease renewal and got a 8 or 9 month renewal which requires me to pay
Luv luv the area with its amenities at the apt.,and in the community. It is a great location
I would definitely recommend this apartment community to all my friends and co-workers because it is super safe, clean, cost efficient, the neighbors are very friendly and respectful, amazing apartment with amenities, hands down the BEST!!
The value wasn’t justified in view of nearby apts. I pay $250 less than what my rent would’ve been at the town center.
I am a travel nurse and I am in the process of moving out ( because of new job location) and I want to say that I LOVE this apt complex. I wish I could take this apt complex with me. The property is always kept clean and well maintained. They apartments are REALLY NICE! Vaulted Ceiling, hard wood floors and kitchen island...all the things I love!!!! Front office staff are very helpful and friendly and always took care of any questions and issues. Library, Amphitheater, rec center, & a gym is across from the leasing office. Attended some great concerts and events at the amphitheater. Restaurants and grocery store within walking distance. Quiet complex. Very safe place....a few police officers live in the complex which is awesome. I would definitely recommend these apartments as a great place to live.
Some residents where smoking marijuana and the smell was terrible. Also, some residents leave any kind of trash (cigarettes, junk food) on the floor of the parking lot or hallways.
Pros-I love the amenities, the decor, the location, the security, the parking, and the staff. Cons-I hate that I have to smell dog crap everytime I step outside. I think the buildings need some structural attention...IE: gutters, windows, air ducts and intakes. Also there are cracks in the walls indicating structural shifting. I have a concern that the air conditioning in my apartment tends to be as much as 10 degrees above the temperature the thermostat is set for and the unit runs nonstop 24/7 driving my electric bill up to an unacceptable rate. As for the dog crap issue...the simple solution would be to add cameras to the areas where the tenants walk their dogs so the management can address the tenants who fail to pick up after their pets.
It's a safe place to live. There are a few things that need to be cleared up but over all it's a great place to be.
I really love the service at DTC
Neighbors (on my floor) are very friendly, staff is very friendly and it is a very convenient location
It's a great place to live and I know that the staff is new and I feel that they will do what need to be done. Exspecially the safety concerns
DEsoto Town Center is the center of this city. It has so many amenities and has the convenience of of food stores, restaurants, library, fitness center/walking track, entertainment events, that make this a great place to live. The landscape and ambiance make these apartment homes lovely.
I have never had any problems and as compared to other places, this has been the best. Hopefully that will not change with the pending items to be repaired.
The only problem is when there is an event instead of the public parking in the garage they park in front of the rec/library in the fire lanes blocking the entrance. I have had several close calls
The apartment community is a professional top quality community.
Great area, friendly neighbors, even though there's an event center nearby the noise isn't a problem at all, great appliances, and beautiful floor plans!
This is the nicest quality apartment I have ever seen. Very quiet. I never hear the neighbors except if they are talking when they go down the hallway. Very peaceful here.
I like the short term lease availability. The location with the city town hall is nice
The staff is very friendly and attentive. The grounds are well maintained and clean. The pool is really amazing definitely something to experience on a hot Texas summer day. The residents are very respectful of each other and the common areas that are connected to the city (i.e. Public Library, Civic Center, Corner Theater ect) are shared with ease. This beautiful modern complex is nestled between I35 & I20 which makes it very convenient to get to Downtown Dallas, Las Colinas and many other neighboring cities very quickly. I would highly recommend this complex to anyone that's looking for a beautiful, safe and convenient place to live.
