Property Ratings at Devonshire Apartments
I'm at then end of my second year here. Last year wasn't as bad. I don't know what changed but quite often from any time between 11pm to 4am you WILL be woken up by groups of people shouting. Sometimes they're just walking by, sometimes they're having a late night water polo game. The total lack of respect for rules, for other's peace and quiet has cost me and no doubt many of my neighbors hours of sleep. Management has thus far not addressed emails about this. Police quite literally said they can do nothing about it. DO NOT move here if you value sleep.
Devonshire’s townhomes and property management team has greatly exceeded our expectations. We were residents at Devonshire for over two years. The townhome was very nicely remodeled with high-end finishes. The leasing team, maintenance department, and property manager have all been great to work with and have been nothing but professional in every aspect. Their leasing team, specifically Kelsey, was a pleasure to work with when initially touring and in every interaction since. They have gone above and beyond to ensure our needs were met and our questions were answered even when it may be outside of their scope. The maintenance team has also proven to be extremely responsive and efficient. There have been several maintenance requests we put in over the years and they have all been addressed within 24 hours. Their maintenance staff were quick to respond and to address the issue with a suitable solution, which is rare when renting. Their team does a great job with ensuring snow removal is done in a timely fashion along with all general upkeep. Ann, the property manager was also easy to work with and extremely professional when addressing concerns. Overall, renting at Devonshire has been a good experience and I highly recommend the property.
Do not rent from here. We rented from here for two years, we always were told different things depending on who we talked to. When we did end our lease we were told we were only required to pay for the couple days of the month we left in. Later after moving out we were then notified that we still owed a months rent and that there had been a "miscommunication" but they could do nothing about it now. Stay away from these apartments.
The most rude and inconsiderate managers I have ever dealt with. Don’t bother looking for empathy or helpfulness when a situation arises outside of “normal policy.” They can’t think on their own in the best interest of their tenants. It is about the mighty mighty dollah, yo! I’d take my hard earned money elsewhere where I will be treated with R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
This is the worst apartment complex I have ever rented with. If you are looking for a place that will treat you with respect and value your worth as a tenant, this place is NOT for you. Not only are the leasing office staff incredibly rude, they also managed to offend my family and I when we talked to the assistant manager about our financial status. They even tried to sympathize with us, saying they’be been through it before. When I asked them if they’ve ever been in financial crisis or was filed eviction upon them, they said NO. I stared in disbelief; what sympathy they attempted to give was not only FALSE, it was also highly dismeaning. The staff here have NO empathy for their tenants and do not care if you suddenly have financial crisis. They will not communicate with you regularly unless you harp on them, and when you do follow up constantly, they reply back with passive aggressive comments. I am extremely displeased with Devonshire Apartments and its management. I felt that the staff is not genuine in the very slightest, and their work ethic is absolute garbage. I will never rent from any one of Pinnacle Community's properties (such as this one, Devonshire Apartments) again.
I have been living here, out of necessity, for a few years and will confidently say that my overall experience has been unsatisfactory. Pipes bursting, ceiling leaks, paper thin walls and ceilings, 'sorry, not sorry' responses from management when you escalate an issue. Not to mention safety issues on the property from car vandalisms to having to call the police because of catching someone peering into your home from your patio door, I feel that the one star rating has truly been earned by this establishment.
I was drawn to Devonshire because of the amenities and low price. Some units have a washer/dryer and the other community amenities are about average. Since I moved to Devonshire in January 2014 the rent has increase dramatically, yet the facilities have not improved. While the unit itself is decent, the kitchen and bathroom are in desperate need of upgrades. The building hallways and common areas are often left unkept (it is as if the property is too big for the maintenance and cleaning crews). The Clubhouse and Pool are kept well maintained, but the other advertised amenities (Tennis, Volleyball) haven't seen care in years. The garage spot is not worth it if you are looking for security. Initially I didn't park in the garage and my car was broken into. I purchased a garage space hoping that it would be more secure. However, my car window was broken and items stolen from my car, even in the garage. When I voiced my concerns to management about the safety of the area and the security of the facilities, they said that the would look into and get back to me, they never did and nothing has been done. Finally, every maintenance concern that I have requested assistance on has lacked communication and follow through. Management is unwilling to improve facilities regardless of increasing prices. Nevertheless, it is still one of the more affordable places around, BUT as you can see, you get what you pay for.
This is an absolute great place to live, I just recently moved into a townhouse unit in the Devonshire Apartments and just like the commercial change your apartment and you can change your world. That statement absolutely true especially knowing your environment affect your life. The Devonshire Apartment complex is in a great location, the neighborhood is friendly environment, the leasing office/management team welcomes you and they have a great maintenance team, and lastly all of the amenities is like its a village with the city Bloomington, MN.

I just moved into a townhome style apartment and love the fancy feel. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. I can be out on my patio and the balcony for the upstairs neighbor is not right above it so I don't have to be involved in my neighbors conversations if we want to be outside at the same time. And my dogs love the onsite dog park!
Devonshire Town homes are a wonderful place to call home. The management and maintenance staff are second to none; making sure your needs are met quickly and efficiently. The town homes are in a safe community, sitting next to large green spaces and parks for families to play. Devonshire is also within walking distance to the popular Nine Mile Creek Trail. The community pool is large enough where families can spread out and not feel cramped. The community itself is safe and friendly, with beautiful grounds to take an evening stroll. Overall, our stay here has been wonderful and I wouldn't change a thing.
