Property Ratings at Diablo View Apartments
I lived here for 2 years, and the new management team is a far cry from the amazing people I was used to seeing in the office. The property itself is decent, and if you live on the third floor it is pretty quiet. The apartment doesn’t have the nicest quality finishings, but it’s nice enough for the price. The in-unit combo washer/dryer makes a ton of noise, so I ended up paying to use the machines in the laundry room. The building feels relatively safe, with controlled access at each end of the hallways. My biggest issue was upon moving out, when I received my deposit remainder in the mail. They deducted $300 for “utilities” that I’d already paid, and they failed to include any invoice that matched that deduction. I tried contacting them 4 times to get this resolved and have them reissue the check, but they ignored my emails. It’s disappointing to have had a great experience while living there and being a good tenant, only to be screwed over in the end by the new management team. It definitely soured a good experience for me, and I probably wouldn’t rent from them on principle.
It's really worth to mention that from the very first day, I was received by the property manager in a very professional manner and I appreciate that behavior. The property manager is very responsive and supportive. I will encourage you guys to select Diablo View for living; you and your family members will enjoy the neighborhood. Very good people are gather in this neighborhood.
When we first looked at the apartment we thought the neighborhood and property was nice for concord and the price wasn’t as high as other apartments in the area so we thought it was a good choice. We we’re told that utilities were not included but averaged about $90-$110 a month which is a bit high but we ultimately decided to move in. However about a year after moving in the utilities started going up when we haven’t used any more water or created any more trash than we had the year prior and every month since it’s been going up. We are now paying $190+ a month just for utilities and the property is going downhill. There’s never parking because they allow people to essentially store cars in the parking spaces and they don’t care at all about any complaints residents have. There are multiple residents that are constantly a disturbance yet management does nothing. They also constantly enter dwellings with little notice and absolutely no explanation for why they need to enter the unit and thus far just this year we have had someone come into our apartment at least 10 times and it is beyond frustrating because we have to make arrangements to have our pet stay elsewhere. We cannot wait until we can move out and the best advice is just to stay clear of this place, there are much better options in the area so do not move into Diablo view

I was excited to move in becuase of the nice upgrades. Beutiful countertops, floors, and appliances. Staff is helpful and property is quiet.
These people at the office tell you one price then when my wife and I are about to go sign the lease my wife noticed they were trying to charge us a higher price, if my wife hadn't noticed we would have signed the lease without noticing we are being charged more a month then what we were told and finalized. We did not end up signing and left the leasing office at that point the agent working didn't seem to care or try to help us with the mix up she rudely said we will get someone else to rent out the unit for the price we are asking. Be careful with Diablo View my wife and I almost got con into signing for higher price, apartments are basic remodel nothing crazy not worth the final asking price they are taking advantage, be very aware of what you're signing before you sign any lease papers with this complex. We will gladly go somewhere else where hidden prices are not an issue.
Once u signed the lease they can careless about u truly the so-called manager Sarah didn't explain couple importants things properly and we asked a bunch questions especially about utilities how much they were going to be etc. after we move in our first month we got automatically charged over $120 in the water and trash bill when you're only really consuming about $30 a month of water. Also they are overcharging for apartments that have washer/dryers inside of the apartment unit which don't even dry or properly work you have to spend money doing laundry anyways. When you confront them these people admit their wrong doing but do not want to compensate or lower the rent for their mistakes. Gabe the district manager is a complete disrespectful jerk says he can careless, doesnt deal with tenants as if us tentants are beneath him hangs up on you and they basically wash your hands with you fake ppl,money hungry complex ENTER TRULY AT YOUR OWN RISK if u dont mind getting taken advantage come here if not save yourself the time and money go somewhere else that's cheaper plus you are not having to deal with a bunch of rude unprofessional crooks don't believe these fake good reviews
This is me and my women’s first apartment . And Sarah and Crystal did not have our apartment ready when we were scheduled to move in . We had no cabinets and no smoke detectors or screen for the room window . And the walls they are DIRTY. It took them nearly a month for us bothering them to finally get a fridge because ours was broken . And this being a smoke free environment people continue to smoke cigarettes around the apartment, so that shows the management. And our car was vandalized bad by someone who lives here and they did nothing about it . I live in fear everyday thinking what else can happen to my car that I work hard for. Bad place to live don’t live here
I have been here almost 2 years and love it! The grounds are kept well and laundry room is open 24/7 . Management is great and the neighborhood is quiet.
