Virginia Beach is a large city of nearly half a million people, perched on the Atlantic coast between Chesapeake Bay and the North Carolina state line. Supporting a thriving local economy of its own, Virginia Beach is also a popular home base for folks who work in neighboring Norfolk and beyond, largely thanks to the incredible array of things to do in your down time.
The Sandler Center for the Performing Arts attracts major national performers and Broadway musicals, as well as popular local and regional acts. Throughout the year, you can always catch live shows at Farm Bureau Live, the city's 20,000-seat outdoor concert amphitheater. During the summer, Atlantic Boulevard comes alive at night; family-friendly street performers line the street, and bands play at a number of stages set up on the beach, in parks, and on the boardwalk.

Property Ratings at Diamond North Apartments
The apartment is a nice apartment and is a good location. Although, my time staying here, which is not long at all, I have been dealing with a roach infestation and just recently found a mouse behind my stove. Also, before moving in, the apartment was poorly cleaned. There were what seemed to be mouse/roach droppings behind the fridge and behind the stove alongside old food and crumbs. I'm sorry but would not highly recommend to others. It's annoying having to deal with roaches and mice in a new place.

Been living here for almost a month and my wife and I are loving it so far. Very nice modern and spacious apartment. Had some things that needed to be fixed and maintenance was here right away. The location is perfect compared to other apartments because it is surrounded by trees. Luckily we got a corner room with carpets only in the bedrooms which works a lot better with our puppy. Only downside so far is we hear our neighbor upstairs sometimes and the trash room is very small so it gets packed with trash very quick. Hopefully they organize or do something with that. Probably one of the best apartments you can get in the Hampton Roads area.

Thank you for your positive feedback. It's always great to hear from happy residents and we're so glad you're enjoying our beautiful location. Thanks for calling us one of the best communities in the area!
Good location if you're stationed at JEBLCFS, and the staff are very friendly. They throw a good number of activities in their clubhouse for tenants. The apartment I rented had outstanding lighting, especially in the bedroom. The tenants are not too loud either. Only complaint is that there were a few issues with the security on the premises, as it's ungated. With a security guard regularly patrolling, it was safer.

So disappointed in diamond north, the place is nice the residents are welcoming but the leasing office is not to be trusted. I always spoke highly of the complex, but i referred a friend which they advertise 500 dollars off your rent and i had payed my last months rent before i was able to receive it. I communicated with the leasing office and they promised me they would get back with me on a possible gift card or payment of some sort. Every month i would call and remind them, and return they would say they will call corporate and get back with me.It is now February and that happened in October and still no contact I’ll leave this being said they will advertise a geniune relationship with the residents but just a scam. I no longer recommend diamond north to any of my fellow sailors or persons at all.
Throughout the duration of my lease there have been widespread problems affecting all residents. 1.) Theft of cars and cars broken into regularly. Check the crime reports. 2.) They hired a security company to patrol at night. Cars continue to be stolen and broken into because the security personnel sleep. This issue has been conveniently ignored by the Property Manager. 3.) Infestation of sewer flies. The ENTIRE building had an issue and we were promised that each of our drains in our apartment would be replaced. That was a year ago and drains were never replaced. 4.) It is not a secure entry complex. The doors do not lock or close properly, and residents usually prop them open while Management does nothing to address it. 5.) Trash piles up in the trashrooms for days and nothing happens until residents complain and take photos. The Property Manager or the head of maintenance do not regularly walk the property to check on these issues. They say they do, but if they did, these problems would not occur. 6.) Drug use in the hallways and elevators. 7.) The Property Manager that recently took over is not equipped to do her job. She does not communicate rate increases, crime issues, maintenance issues, closures, service terminations, etc. 8.) The property did nothing for residents when it snowed. They plowed over a foot of snow behind cars and helped no one dig out. The building was filthy for weeks since the cleaning crew did not come out. 9.) Elevators are usually broken and residents have to repeatedly complain or be put into a dangerous situation before action is taken. A resident was in the elevator with the doors never closing as he went up to the fourth floor. Only then, was action taken when he posted this on our digital communication system. This is not a luxury building and the staff running it should not be in the position their in. The previous Property Manager did a much better job than the current. This property is ran unprofessionally and its dangerous in how its not maintained.

We're very sorry to hear you're not having a more positive experience, but we want you to know this is not a standard representation of life at our community. We work very hard to ensure our residents needs are met and work to address all concerns in a timely manner. Regarding any criminal activity you may have seen on our property, we strongly urge you to call the local authorities who are best equipped to handle such matters. We invite you to stop by our office at your convenience so we may further discuss these concerns and come up with a resolution. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon! -Kasey Lawson, Property Manager
Pros: Beautiful apartment, very modern and spacious with bedrooms on opposite ends. Island, granite counter tops, tall cabinets, stainless steel appliances, washer & dryer included. Nice clubhouse with tvs, pool table, games, okay fitness center, just not a lot of machines. They do have weekly events for residents which is very nice. Staff is nice. Cons: Walls are TOO thin! This is the worst thing about living here. It's ridiculous that we can hear every normal conversation coming from the hallway and outside the building!! This is why we won't be renewing. Nice building, but seems it was built too fast because they didn't take that into account. Of course with any apartment there are pros and cons, but this is the one I refuse to deal with. No bugs, that's a great thing. This apartment would get 5 stars if only the walls weren't so thin.
