Situated in west Texas along the Rio Grande, just north of the United States-Mexico border, El Paso embraces the past while building the future. Chamizal National Memorial, a museum and park, honors the peaceful settlement of the Chamizal boundary dispute while the University of Texas at El Paso fosters tomorrow’s leaders.
El Paso is known as the Sun City, boasting over 300 days of sunshine every year. There are plenty of venues to enjoy the frequent sunshine, including the El Paso Zoo, Franklin Mountains State Park, and nearby Wet n Wild Waterworld. The Rio Grande is a popular spot for whitewater rafting, canoeing, and fishing as well.
Should you want to head indoors, you have the option to catch a performance at the Plaza Theatre, indulge in authentic Mexican cuisine, admire the works in the El Paso Museum of Art, and tour the El Paso Museum of History in addition to the El Paso Holocaust Museum and Study Center.

Property Ratings at Dieter Pines Apartments
Just chiming in since some other people that used to live here make this place sound dreadful, which it isn't by a long shot. I've lived in places elsewhere in TX that you have to fight tooth and nail with the management just to fix a giant hole in your ceiling after a hard night's rain--this isn't one of those places. Could the walls be thicker here? sure. Are there some noisy neighbors with obnoxious cars that have to blast their car speakers to let the barrio know they're the illest? Sometimes, but it's fairly seldom here. The apts are a good size and at a pretty reasonable rate. The promotions are solid if you rent for a year, and the Mgmt. has been good with service requests so far. About the thin walls--this place was built in the 90s so they were probably cutting corners a bit more back then. I've noticed if you are able to get into a nicer location or a place that was built around the 70s (for some reason) they seems to be a bit better with avoiding sound bleeding through the walls. Refrigerated air is always awesome to have--which this place has. Washer/Dryer connections usually aren't common in apts that aren't 'higher end' so it's nice to also have that here. Free hbo with your rent if you're into watching TV, and I've never had trouble finding parking. Time warner isn't the greatest provider but that's a bit beyond their control, I want to say UVerse is available here but I could be wrong. Not a huge fan of the 'hydroheat' heating system they have here cause if you're using the heater and trying to take a hot shower you probably won't have a lot of hot water, and the idea of using hot water to heat the apt is kind of silly and ineffective by the feel of it. Luckily the winters here aren't super cold so you'll always be pretty warm. Some minor complaints but a mostly solid complex. Would recommend the location if you're okay with living a bit further east and away from the nightlife/shopping districts.
Really bad experience with the parking lots. People having 3-4 cars per apartment or having junk cars parked for months, it's always a problem everyday! They should fix it
PROMOTIONS ARE NOT TRUE IF YOU DECIDE TO MOVE HERE PLEASE READ Me and my fiance lived here for a year. The whole year was good. Every maintenance problem was solved within a week. The only problem is Irma their manager. When we first meet her she was super nice, we even thought she would always help us if something happened in the 12th month contract. Unfortunately, like all sellers she was just being nice so we would get the apt. ?2 months before our contract was going to be over we received a letter. (A renew contract letter) Our rent was 550 because of promotion but if we wanted to renew or contract it was going to be 670. So they increased $120 we believed it was unfair. So we decided to move out. ? When we told them we were going to move out, they gave us a paper were it said that we had to replace every single light bulb, professionally clean the carpet, etc. First of all, when we got the apartment we only had 1 light bulb in each place of the apartment we had to put our money on it to buy new bulbs. We didn't clean the carpet because it was going to be $100. ? Also we rented washer and dryer not only we had to wait like 6 months to get them but the first day they put them in the apartment the next day we received a letter saying that if we didn't pay by 5pm $15 our washer and dryer were going to be disconnected. We didn't even know there were fees for that. ? finally the worst one, every 1st of the month we payed our rent. With a check everything was always good payment went through every time except the last month. Like I said I believe they got mad or something because we were going to leave. Well the last month the payment didn't go through. We did have enough money in the account. But Irma said it didn't go thought, so we had to pay 700 including fees which was ridiculous. Because we had always payed like that and the bank didn't stop the payment or nothing it was just the apartments. So just be careful is nice place but at the end they will charge you for stuff you didn't do.
My review on my apartment is based on my expectations at the beginning and my experience. The apartments are located in a good location; at the corner on Montana street(few seconds from the apartments), there's a gas station and a McDonald's excellent for food and grocery. On the way to edgemere, you can find a Mexican meat market, a bread store and a beauty salon. On edgemere, there's a plaza, inside the plaza there's really great Mexican restaurant(super elotes richys), a car shop, nails shop and a Child Care Center. Not far from the apartments, on route 375, there's a hospital, cvs, Walgreens, Starbucks, Applebees, Tacotote(recommend) and a village inn. My expectations from the apartments were rather normal, yet I do really enjoy living here because of the location, what's around this location, the staff here were truly helpful and caring. The winters and summers here are great, the refrigeration system is brilliant on summers and the heating system on winter. They always respond to your needs and with a great customer service. The pool was clean and sparking, the atmosphere of the neighborhood is quiet and private. I do recommend living here at George Dieter- Dieter Pines. Great experience and great prizes.
The rent is reasonably priced but the management sucks. My upstairs neighbors water pipe was leaking through my roof and it caused black mold and it took them two weeks to fix it. They're incredibly rude also (there's two ladies.) The lady in the front is rude the one in the back doesn't act rude but she's one of those nice to your face rude behind your back. They do a raffle every month for a $50 check if your turn your rent in before the 1st. No pets over 25lbs, unless it's a service dog. But I had a service dog and they still gave me a hard time and made me pay a fine (which is illegal.) Also the apartments are fairly small.
