College East is, as the name implies, located on the east side of San Diego State University. This popular neighborhood not only provides fast access to SDSU, but also to nearby Lake Murray, which is to the northeast of College East. Students can either walk to class or take the trolley, which has a station at the Alvarado Medical Center.
While College East is very popular with students, the neighborhood has good schools and easy access to I-8, making it great for families and commuters. Downtown San Diego is only about eight miles southwest of College East, so residents can quickly enjoy the city’s amenities and attractions. El Cajon Boulevard, which extends along the south side of the neighborhood, is lined with shops and restaurants. Property Ratings at Diplomat Apartments
Management is unorganized and rude! They had no record of our moveout notice and moveout date. I had to show them the email they had sent to me confirming our moveout date. The entire time she was looking she was condescending and talked down to us. Not until she found our notice and had to eat her words, did she try to recover and apologize. Amongst getting things fixed which was a pain as a tenant, I would say Management is the worst.

Great compared to the apartments nearby. We moved here my third year at SDSU and stayed for the rest of our degrees because it was spacious, offered 2 parking spaces, has AC, and was so quiet compared to the surrounding area. It was a sad day when we moved out.
