If you would like to talk to our resident relations department please email us at residents@hnnwa.com and we can have a more direct conversation. Sincerely, HNN Customer Service
This used to be a good place to live but since they changed management the complex started to be dirty, we got some stuff stoled from us in the parking and they probably never saw the camera records to find out who was. When I moved out the elevator failed and they charged me about 650 dollars for the repair, also they charged me a pet fee but I never had any pets, I tried to talk this problem with them but they are just rude and intrasigent. Finally since we could bot get into an agreement they sent me to collections. I regret the day I chose discovery heights to live

When we first moved here when it was very first built it was amazing, staff was friendly, parking was good, it was quite despite the construction on the new buildings and being next to the hospital. In the last few months they have seemingly fired all the great and friendly staff and replaced them with less then happy, condescending and unhelpful people. I feel like I am an inconvenience to them every time I need to pick up a package or ask a question. They messed up our rent and sent us a 10 day to vacate notice when we had in fact over paid our rent a week earlier then the due date and have never been late. They left the note on or door while we were home without even knocking to have a conversation. Then the office was closed so we were left wondering why we were being “kicked out”. We left a message on their voice mail and no one responded. We had to reach out again during our work day to get it cleared up and no apologies were ever made. They changed the hours of the front office to 9 to 6 so we can never get our packages during the week because they are never opened when we aren’t working and their answer to us was “we are open Saturday”. We have complained several times about the running and jumping child above us that goes on terrors of running and jumping that last over 10 minutes and shake our lights and walls. We have spoke directly to the neighbors and they don’t do anything about it and in the lease it actually states that running in the apartments is not acceptable. We have two kids ourselves and have the common courtesy to take them to the park or to the playroom when they need to run off some energy. We have sent a few Emails, made a few calls and nothing has been done about it. We have a three week written log now of the times the child is running and how long it’s lasts each time. It’s under terrible management now, we are trying to get out as fast as we can. Considering we pay over 2600 a month I would expect them to be more accommodating, helpful and kind. I would not recommend this place at all!
I would like to live there, property is nice.Applied and got denied, for no specific reason.I found that it's not rare they denied applicants. Will not surprise if they resale info and make money.Just be careful, when applying, check first.Im not only one with same story..............
I lived at Discovery West in 2016. I was the first tenant to move into my unit. The complex had only a handful of units rented at the time. Unfortunately, I had to break my lease early and move out of state after only 9 months of living here. My experience was nothing short of wonderful. The staff, led by Judy, were always super accommodating and a pleasure to speak with! My unit was a 5th floor (top floor) overlooking north. On a clear day, I had a nice view of Lake Sammamish and the Olympics. I enjoyed many of the interior features, including hardwood floors in the kitchen and living room and high ceilings. The only downsides were no A/C, which all new, modern apartments should have nowadays and the stainless steel appliances were on the low-end of the spectrum, including a coiled-top stove (I had no idea they still made these). I was still able to use it, but I've been very spoiled in the past and used to high-end gas stoves my entire life. However, I strongly recommend living here, as the staff, the maintenance crew, and the location make it very desirable!
Brand new building in the Issaquah Highlands with views of Lake Sammamish and the mountains. No other complex has the views this place does. They also have an indoor pool, 24 hour fitness center, conference center, kid's play space, dog park, community BBQ, pea patch, bike bar and more! This place has everything you need and is close to the transit center and shopping centers. I am literally 1 minute from the freeway so it makes my commuting very easy. This community is awesome, so glad I moved in here!!
Discovery Heights has spacious units, an indoor pool, hot tub, gym, and basketball court. It offers a small-town atmosphere with “big town” amenities. Within walking distance, there are movie theaters, groceries, restaurants, and boutiques. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and efficient. All requests are handled in a timely manner. We love the diversity of cultures and ages among the tenants. We are so glad to live here!
Life is easy at Discovery Highlands! Units and amenities give you everything you could want. What sets our building apart from others is the diversity of tenants and their friendliness. The families and professionals are of all cultures and ages. Privacy is respected and this creates a relaxed, quiet environment. The staff is amazing. They know everyone and answer all requests efficiently and quickly. We love it here!
Lots of great stuff to do in the area. Previous reviews are correct. You can hear everything that is playing in the room above and below you. If you live near a stairwell, you can hear every step. Post move out, they charged me for full carpet replacement even though i had the carpets cleaned. No assessment was sent. Multiple follow ups without any response. To top it off, they never sent me the bill so i was chased down by a collections agency. Stay away.
Do your research. The facts are this... The Discovery Heights development is only meeting the minimum required sound transmission coefficient (STC) rating. Utilizing 3.5" sound batts. You can hear everything, even if your on a top level. Meaning, you can hear the noise below you. The sound of simply walking in your home is heard. Neighbors end up at odds with each other due to noise. If you complain about them, your neighbor ends up complaining about you. Then the game begins! Management, and corporate is terrible. They will not hesitate to use retaliatory legal action against both of you! I would rather live in an old building that has proper insulation. Don't be fooled by the amenities. This is not a place you can live long term. Countless families have left, even broken leases to move out!
If you are particular about noise level, this place has no sound proof whatsoever. And you will receive notice for even walking and cooking. If you have kids forget it. You will experience a terrible time. My family was yelled using "F" words and talk about humiliation/harassment. Just amenities aren't enough for living, you need peace and happy living with kids. Have kids, stay away!!
Property Manager at Discovery Heights, Responded To This Review
I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this with sound. Some complexes are harder to deal with when it comes to noise. Anyone else??
