Overall, my experience here has been good. There was some issues I had with the new management the first couple months after that change happened, but it has definitely gotten better. I love how we are so close to everything but still a good distance from all the crazy traffic. Apartments are nice. I have yet to need to request maintenance for my apartment and I have lived here almost 2 years. They don’t really do that many community events like they used to in the past. Overall, it’s a good place to live at any stage of your life!

The elevator is constantly down. It happens so much that I no longer feel comfortable using it. The Staff are all great and very friendly, but my main complaint is the constant issues with the elevator. Also, the previous management would occasionally have snacks out near the coffee bar every other morning. I'm not sure if this happens anymore.

Overall I'm mostly satisfied living here at Discovery Park. Communication could be a lot better and I try to stay away from the office staff unless I absolutely have to. Close to a beautiful park. My upstairs neighbors make a lot of noise, but i lived in another apartment and it was quiet. Maintenence is GREAT!

A new out of state management company has taken over and is running this place into the ground. Our amenities and services have been slashed as rent and fees have been increased. Pest control is ineffective and my apartment is infested with ants again. My first request for service went unnoticed until I filed a complaint. After the complaint I had to wait another week for service. The ants have returned again and now I’m told to either pay 85 dollars or wait an additional week and just live with my 100,000,000 new roommates. The front window of the office was smashed months ago and boarded up. First the pool, then the basketball cour closed. This is not luxury apartment living. It’s a scam. Stay far away from this place!

Office isn't the most responsive at times, but overall great! Lots of ammenities & the office IS super nice & cares for the residents. Office hours aren't always accurate, and you aren't always going to find them in the office when stated.

I have lived here since May 2023. The first year was great! Management was phenomenal. Recently we just got new property management in May 2024. Now, there are all these little charges that are piling on top of our rent. One of those charges being a $35/month fee to use their provided washer and dryer. I had renewed my lease in June and that was not a charge listed on my lease. Found out last month that I had been charged for that which again was NOT on my lease for the past couple months. When I went to talk to management about it our manager was VERY rude and could care less that they were charging me for something the last couple months that was NOT in my lease and blamed it on the fact that my lease was sent to me from a previous employee. Simply put it, if I knew what was coming with this change of ownership and new management, I would’ve never renewed my lease. I am very much looking forward to next July when I can move. Needless to say, I am very disappointed.

The community and location is great. The staff is all new and so far really great and helpful. The grounds are well kept and maintenance is super amazing. We can put in a maintenance request and have never had to wait longer than a day to have someone come, and fix our issue. My only complaint is that you have to be careful of your orders from online because unless you get a parcel locker for it, some times they are left in the open on the mailroom floor, and are at risk of being stolen. I wish you were always guaranteed a locker considering you are charge $10 a month for them. I’ve had a packaged stolen because there wasn’t a locker available and there was nothing that could be done. I couldn’t file a report or anything to prove to the retailer that I never received my order, causing me to be out $270 for items I never received. If I’m not always going to be able to have my orders delivered and placed in a locker every time then it shouldn’t be something I’m required to pay for.

I love it here it's near to my college so I can just walk to my class and never get late. It has a very good balance between a luxury apartment and affordable one. I love the amenities I would really appreciate if the apartment can host more get together so that the neighbors and everyone can interact with each other and know each other more.

It has gone downhill since the new management took over. They canceled our individual wifi and switched over to a community wifi, which is far slower and makes things difficult for those of us who work from home. The complex is generally far less clean than it was before. They seem to be doing “improvements” that nobody asked for (such as replacing the caulk in the parking lot and lowering the latches on the dog park gates) while neglecting important issues like pest control.

The first floor is the garage. I'm on the second floor. It's very noisy. The living room is good as a whole, but it would be better if there were chairs. Only the main building has a swimming pool and a gym, and the gym is very small.

Very nice community, I feel very safe and comfortable living here. It is perfect if going to UNT since dicovery park is accross the street and it has buses that take you to the main campus.

We absolutely love our experience at Discovery Park Apartment! Everything is so well-organized and beautiful. The swimming pool, study area, and other amenities are excellent. We especially want to highlight Kerry’s exceptional service—she’s incredibly sweet, approachable, and always ready to answer our questions. Her warm and informative approach makes us feel truly at home here. However, we do have two suggestions for improvement. First, we noticed that the corridor area could use a bit more cleaning as it appears slightly dirty. Second, it would be extremely beneficial if the UNT bus made a stop closer to our apartment. Having a nearby stop would save students a long walk to the main Discovery Park parking lot and make commuting much easier. Overall, we’re thrilled to be here and look forward to more great experiences!

I adore the apartment , but I wish the UNT bus had a stop directly in front of Discovery Park Apartments, rather than requiring us to go all the way into the campus to catch it.

Additionally, apartment living typically requires less maintenance than a house, as tasks like lawn care and exterior repairs are handled by management. However, apartment life also has its challenges. Space can be limited, requiring efficient organization and sometimes compromise on personal preferences. Noise from neighbors and shared walls can affect privacy and tranquility. Despite these issues, the sense of community and convenience can outweigh the drawbacks for many. For those who prioritize location and minimal upkeep, apartments can be a practical and enjoyable living solution, fostering both a modern lifestyle and a connected, communal experience.
It was really good experience staying. The facility that they provide like swimming pool, basketball court and the study rooms. As a student I loved the study rooms the most.
We just moved in but are impressed so far. The staff are great and very helpful. The leasing process was simple, and the amenities have all been clean and great. The community itself seems pretty quiet. We are very happy with our choice so far!
It’s great, I love the atmosphere in the community and also I like how peaceful it is when I walk around the community. I just want the community to make work pods area with working monitors and a printer.
This community has all the required facilities for me and it is near to my uni which is a major plus. The surrounding of this community is very pleasant and peaceful.
The staff is very friendly and always willing to help in any way they can. The design of the complex is nice and so are the amenities. I love that there is a vending machine and a coffee bar.
So far I’m enjoying living here. The community is quiet and very clean. Only reason for deducting a star is because I’ve been without internet since I moved in, for almost a month now with no clue when I will be able to have it setup.
I like living here I have no complaints other then the basketball gym being locked for no reason at times but other than that it’s a beautiful place and it is very quiet I would totally recommend it to others
I’ve lived here for nearly ten months and everything is great! One of the more affordable apartments in the area that still has some really nice amenities!
My time at Discovery Park has been amazing! I have been here a little over a year and I have had no issues! The amenities are amazing! My rent is reasonable and I love where we are located. Close to shops and restaurants but still a good distance that provides mostly quiet, peaceful living!
Overall, it's been a great experience! Previous management had slacked off slowly and many residents saw the decline in care for the residents and the property. Elevator was out all the time, doors were unlocked often, trash around the complex, etc. It seemed like everything was a reaction to something that happened (i.e. elevator off all weekend because it broke down Friday afternoon for a missing part), instead of a prevention and checking of property. Caring for the residents changed, events became passive (i.e. pick up a bag of candy or cookies), instead of previously when there were bingo nights, pool parties, etc. For the most part, great staff! Maintenance is great!
Honestly the best place I have ever lived , the staff is so nice so is the neighborhood. The amenities are so great the pool is always clean so is the gym .
My apartment is spacious with plenty of natural light, and the amenities are fantastic. There's a well-equipped gym, a swimming pool, and even a communal lounge area where residents can gather for events or just to socialize. The sense of community here is strong, with regular events organized by the management to help residents get to know each other. Overall, being a resident here has been a wonderful experience. The combination of a great apartment, excellent amenities, and a supportive community has made it a place I’m happy to call home.
Overall good quality apartments. Walls are thick, never once heard my next door neighbors and only heard the upstairs one when they were practicing drums (they moved out quickly). Responded quickly to my service requests. Another reviewer mentioned electric problems which I agree with, nothing shocked me but 2 of my outlets did not work. There was a problem with too many packages and a small mailroom but nothing of mine ever got stolen or misplaced. Be warned though that the owners will take you for all you're worth if you let them. They're gouging people in the current market. They have strict rules with the lease so be sure to read it carefully and notify them EARLY if you're not planning to renew. Never heard a peep about my security deposit getting back to me but after all I went through with them it was hardly worth the fight.
