Property Ratings at DISTRICT SIX10
Great property with great amenities and staff! Sydney was very helpful answering any questions I had about the apartments. Nice place!
Don't expect to ever get your security deposit back. Management is extremely unfair and dishonest. Before moving out, we cleaned our apartment very thoroughly. Management waited until we had left the state then informed us that they would not return our security deposit because of unspecified cleanliness issues. I asked for evidence or even just a specific description of what was dirty, but they refused to provide any details. On top of that, they charged us for damage to the stovetop, which was already broken when we moved in and which we reported to them immediately after move-in (and which they failed to fix). To add insult to injury, they threatened to send "additional cleaning fees" to a collection agency if we didn't pay them immediately. They continued to refuse to explain what the cleaning fees were for. Overall, they seemed to be exploiting the fact that my military orders had sent me out of state so I was unable to contest their charges. I was amazed by how shamelessly they exploited the situation to make themselves money.
The ladies at the front desk were really nice. We got a tour and decided to fill out an application. Prior to the application we told them about our two police dogs who would be moving with us and they asked what breed they were about 2-3 times. We told them their breed. Filled out the application which cost $80 (which is the same cost as 2 boxes of diapers for our son) and put a holding fee down for an apartment ($100). A few days later I get a text stating that our dog breed was restricted and that they would not be able to move into the home with us. Needless to say we got our $100 holding fee back but are out $80. Really nice apartments but don’t waste your time if you have a larger dog breed as MOST are on their restricted list. Also make sure you speak to someone who knows all the in and outs of the apartment complex as the girl who was helping us did not. Also just to state we were not informed of a restricted breed list until after everything was all said and done. I personally am upset at the fact they they continued to let us waste time and money knowing that our dog breed was restricted.
lovely place to live...super service and personnel! "a great place to call "home". The entire staff always greet you with a smile and are very helpful to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise . The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. The dog park, pool, and workout room are just some of the few new improvements the new owners have made that truly give these apartments that extra homey feeling!
My husband and I moved in about a month ago and after looking at several other apartment communities, District SIX10 is by far the best of them all. The sweet ladies in the front office were so helpful and welcoming and they answered any questions we had. They also worked very fast to help us get approved and moved in as soon as possible, for that we are so thankful. Maintenance work gets processed and done very efficiently with care. The new renovations are so wonderful and the renovations to come this spring and summer are going to be amazing as well, my husband and I cannot wait to be able to take our dogs to the dog park and enjoy hot summer evenings in the hammock garden or by the new pool area. We can tell that so much care is going into these new renovations, we love the modern look of the apartment and personally, the countertops are my favorite. I highly recommend District SIX10 to anyone looking for a caring community.
Easily the best apartment complex in Lawton. The renovations are so refreshing and beautiful! The girls at the front office are super sweet and helpful. Erika made the process smooth and was always there to answer any questions we had. Maintenance responds to any request really quickly and are always friendly. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to live in this area.
District SIX10 is premier housing with affordable leasing options in Lawton, OK. It has all the amenities one could hope for at your fingertips. It has recent upgrades and modern appliances, the works! The leasing consultant Lauren is AMAZING: and her customer service skills are impeccable, bar none!!! Whether already living in area or looking to relocate to a safe place to live that has all the perks one can imagine District SIX10 is a must see! ~Angela
Staff is extremely friendly/helpful and any maintenance request is addressed promptly. The newly renovated apartments are modern and much nicer than anything else in the area. Only good things to say- Best place to live in Lawton, OK.
I've lived here for quite some time. Majority of the photos you see are fake...definitely not taken at these apartments. Very sad that the unprofessional women in the office would stoop so low to try to attract new residents. They are renovating vacant apartments. The residents that have lived here for quite some time are stuck in outdated and poorly maintained apartments while the new management team puts all of their effort into renovating empty ones. Constant pest issues, leaks, drafty doors and windows, etc. I would advise you to come look at the grounds before committing to anything. The parking lots are atrocious. Multiple people have ruined their cars due to how bad it is. Huge potholes cover the entire parking lot all around the buildings. There are giant of chunks asphalt all over the place. It is a nightmare to try to dodge all of the obstacles just trying to get out of the parking lot onto the main road. They won't put photos up of the actual grounds of the real complex because it is embarrassing. So instead they use pretty fake photos to lure people in. You've been warned.
Love it here. Staff is super nice and helpful. I’ve always lived in an apartment so used to having neighbors and the rest that comes with living in an apartment. I feel safe here and stays quiet so that’s good! Don’t plan on moving.
I was a little wary to move in because of the other reviews, but I've been here for a few months under the new management and I haven't had any issues! I barely hear my neighbors. Maintenance requests are done quickly and efficiently and the staff is so nice.... sometimes I just go in to talk to them... happy to be here.
been living here for a few years. best management. very impressed with the property.
I've lived here for a few months now and it's crazy to see the transformation that the management has made already. Not only has all the trash been picked up, but you can tell that they care about the homes itself by all this preventative maintenance they're doing. The staff is always super friendly and I'm wicked excited for the fitness center! I haven't had any issues with crime here either and being a woman that lives alone, that's important to me. I feel safe here. Bless this new management.
Current Resident*** stay far away from this place! When we first moved in things were great! Once new management came, things went down hill FAST. People shoot in the parking lots all of the time and nothing is done. Make a complaint and you're treated like the criminal. Appliances always breaking and months go by before being fixed. Air filters never changed. When maintenance comes in your apartment, they do not give notice nor do they leave a note stating they were in. The management is rude and two faced. Will tell you how she's enjoyed having you as a tenant and is sad that you're not renewing your lease and turn around and give you a negative reference when signing a lease at another apartment. Never mind that you have 0 complaints/violations. Always paid rent on time.
I am a current resident. First and foremost if you are military don’t be lured in by the “deals” they offer to get you in a contract. They don’t do anything with complaints. I am a single mother of 3.. 12, 5, and 3. I have complained numerous amounts of times about a neighbor who smokes weed and cigarettes and the smoke seeping into my apartment. They have promised notices to be sent to the neighbors and nothing, they have come to my apartment to see that it does indeed smell of weed and still have done nothing. So instead my children have to be subjected to second hand smoke. It is so noisy in the apartments and the walls are so thin you can not pinpoint where the rucus is coming from. I have had a noise complaint on my kids when they weren’t even here for the weekend. I have had the police called on my apartment at 10:00 at night while I was sleeping because no one can pinpoint the noise. There is dog poop EVERYWHERE because no one cleans it up like they are suppose to. I can’t even let my little ones play outside because of the fear of them falling in poop. The cheap patch jobs of the streets are continually chipping and almost burst my tire one day. There is always trash everywhere. I asked that they provide more trash cans for the kids at the basketball court because they are always leaving trash everywhere and nothing. The trash bins are always overflowing onto the street. My children and I have gotten out and cleaned up the trash ourselves and it just builds right back up. It’s ridiculous. I cannot wait until my lease is up! The security systems are also bull. They just chirp all day long and ring when you open and shut the door. So don’t believe the hype. Fair warning. Do not move here until better management takes over. They won’t listen to your complaints. They say they’re going to take note of it and that’s all they do take notice of it. They don’t care. I promise. Military stay away. And if you can deal with all of the above this is the place for you. It is cheap after you get sucked in with a “deal”.
