Dobie Twenty21 Student Spaces

Avoid at all costs. UT purchased this dorm and the dorm has still been uninhabitable-- no heating in the ice storm, no hot water for a few weeks, etc. They also changed the terms of the lease without consent, suddenly banning items that had been approved by the previous owner. No regard for the rights of student tenants and the building is an absolute mess and they've done little to nothing to improve it yet. Do not be tempted.

Water is always cold & elevators sometimes work. Work order was resolved on the 19th & guess what…it’s the 21st & the water is cold again & to top it off it’s freezing outside. Think twice before choosing this apartment. They deserve less than 1 star but I had to rate it in order to post.

This place is awful. The elevators always seem to be broken and when they do work it takes forever just to get to any floor, the washers/dryers never work and I got charged 1.10 for each load of laundry I did, the meal plan is garbage and wayyy to overpriced, the ac is super random and we have no control of the temp of our room, and the list goes on and on. Choose anywhere else to live in Austin except this place. The location does NOT outweigh the negatives here

The air conditioning was terrible. It was not a maintenance issue, where the unit was broken and needed fixing.... they simply refused to turn the A/C on.

The AC is nonexistent. They claim they have AC but it never really works, and they don’t do anything about it. They also don’t do anything about the insect problem. Come on, this is Texas!! If you’re operating a residential building in Texas, it’s imperative that AC and pest control is taken care of.

There’s cockroaches, no free parking, and the AC is terrible during the summer time. It will literally stay 80 degrees or above in the apartment starting in April and they will not fix it for you. The walls are also thin, so you’ll be able to hear almost everything. Again, the worst thing is the air conditioning and I tried to call five times about it and each time they did not care. Oh, and the “amazing rooftop pool” is really just a pool on the second or third floor, it’s not going to be like the other complexes.

Broken elevators, broken hot water, broken air conditioning, heating and cooling controlled by the building, popcorn ceilings and concrete floors. No parking included either, save some money and live literally anywhere but here

This place really has everything and is so convenient around everything! I highly recommend you stay at Dobie because I don't think you can get a better quality of living anywhere else in Austin

I really loved all the amenity spaces Dobie provides for its guests. Staff is always having weekly giveaways for residents and are always willing to help with any questions over the phone. I loved my stay here so much I signed my lease early for the next year! If you quality and want to be close to the campus this spot is perfect not just for students but for anyone!!

I've lived at Dobie for a few years, and the reviews from the past are a bit outdated. Too many renovations have been done! This place runs so much smoother than when I moved in! The elevators have been entirely upgraded, the cafe has made some better decisions recently, and the staff is killer. Olivia, Becky, Sam, Tyler, Chris, Milena, Holli, Charlemagne, Ryan, Andrew, Josh, Matthew, & Abigail are a tight-knit team ready to help out with whatever you need. I'd highly recommend living at Dobie.

Live here!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't stress it enough. Look past what you've seen or heard... some people are crazy. The property is awesome and they're renovating a lot around. It's looking good guys! Rebecca has always helped me out personally, and Sam is always very cheery. Come and tour Dobie!! You will not regret it!!!

My parents and I love Dobie Twenty21. The last couple of years here have been great and I am glad I chose to live here. The convenience of the location can't be matched, and it's really great to have a cafe downstairs. Tyler, Olivia, and Chris have become friends that I hope to keep well into the future. Rebecca and Sam have been helpful when it comes to any issues I've encountered.

Becky, Sam, and Holli are very nice. They want to help me bring a new type of event to the property and we are all excited for the opportunity. I have been here for a couple of years and have made great friends of Tyler, Olivia, Christopher, Milena, Matthew, and Abigail. The new guys Andrew and Josh are also great! Dobie's great! The new staff seems to be going above and beyond with the improvements! Can't wait to see this place restored to its former glory!

The food has really stepped up from what I've heard, and the cafe hours seem to suit everyone well. A small suggestion would be updating all visible machinery/hardware. My room situation has been stabilized thanks to Sam and how hard/quickly he's worked for me. Super huge help. Dobie's location is unbeatable and I'd recommend 10/10.

I've lived here for 3 years and can't begin to describe the convenience associated with the location and the incredible service presented by staff. I overheard a conversation about roommate issues (typical in dorms), and I was confident enough to bring up my own issues. Rebecca and Sam were attentive and thoughtful when addressing these issues for me and I feel like I've been heard. Tyler's my bud and always brings a smile to my face. I'd also highly recommend working with Christopher, Milena, Abigail, Matthew, Olivia, Joshua, and Andrew. There have been a couple of staff changes lately, and the office feels a lot brighter!!

Dobie's great! Sam and Rebecca have been incredibly helpful when it came to transferring units. I didn't have the best roommate match, and with the entire building being full, they worked hard to help me out. I'm also a big fan of Olivia and Tyler. Thanks, guys!
