Property Ratings at Doncaster Village Apartments
I’ve been here for almost two years and I have no roaches or mice in my apartment. All my repairs are completed in a timely manner. The staff in the office have great personality, respectful and polite with great customer service. I am a completely satisfied tenant. Yep and I am renewing my lease for another year.

We are so glad to receive a rave review like this one! Thanks for letting us know how smooth your experience has been and for sharing that you've received prompt service from the team. We're so happy to know that you're here to stay!
I’ve had hell since I’ve lived here, the property managers play favoritism, they don’t do anything about ppl stomping over your head but they complain about music DURING the day. I have a long list of documents since day 1 and nothing never was done. I started becoming the person that was causing the issue lol figure that a young black female that was paying them on time. I was told I’m sensitive to noise, I was told floor boards were being put in and that never got done. Why would you put a single person under a whole family. Make it make sense... it’s hard to get in touch with the property manager because she’s never there or on a call.. then when you make an appointment you still don’t get to talk to her about the issue been here since June and been wanting leave since August. I was told that I can call the police about noise then when I did they told me I had to stop. I have all of these documents and emails that I’m submitting to my lawyer. This is the worse leasing company ever . I was offered a third floor apartment months after I’ve been complaining and do you think I wanna move all this stuff out after moving it in? No. I cannot wait til my lease is up cause lord knows this had been my worse experience ever mind you this is my third apartment complex and I’ve never dealt or had any issues like this. They don’t communicate and they don’t care. All you paying for is the location because I’ve been putting maintenance and pest request since I’ve been here. It’s just been a mess and I hate it here
I’ve been here almost 2years. I’ve had issues with insects coming through gaps in the windows. I had to submit several maintenance requests to get that handled. The apartment attached to mine had kitchen sewage issues that came over into my apartment. There was a snake in my apartment for 15days. Maintenance came to look for it and didn’t find it. The maintenance man said there were a lot of holes in the floor that he filled. He told me to look out for the snake so maintenance could come back to get it. This was the best solution offered to me. That is no way to take care of your resident. When I called the leasing office to be transferred to another apartment because of the snake, they told me it would be a $400-500 Transfer fee IF I qualify for the transfer. I didn’t want to break my lease so I am still here. Maintenance comes to vacuum the hallways weekly but will not clean the spiders and spider webs that are in the corners of the hallway (to include around the apartment doors). I submitted a maintenance request about this and even mentioned it to a maintenance man in person. Nothing has been done. The man I spoke to told me he’d “think about it.” If you do decide to come here, DO NOT, get a first level apartment. You will have to deal with A LOT of bugs and SNAKES. Also, rent goes up drastically! My lease is almost up and I’m strongly considering moving. Lastly, there was a shooting in the complex that the leasing office did not notify all of the residents about. They’ll say that they notified residents who receive text alerts, but a letter should’ve been placed on everyone’s door the same way letters are placed on our day to warn us of routine maintenance inspections.

I've lived in Doncaster Village for about 4 years now. It is located in the center of a quiet community, with many restaurants and shops close by. The apartment is very spacious and the office staff is super friendly. However, in the past two years, the management has changed and the service here has gone downhill. The hallways are no longer cleaned, it is always furniture and debris in the parking lot, the leaves have not been raked, and my building is infested with insects and mice. Due to the many cracks in the floorboards and small holes, mice come and go as they please. I've called for pest control however, they were never sent to my apartment. The mice infestation issue started off as a small issue which was understandable as the season changed. But, it has gotten completely out of control. We can hear them eating through our walls which makes it very hard to sleep. My fiance has caught about 8 ( 2 just this week) and has had to tape up and stuff several holes on his own. I'm hoping that this brings some attention to management.

I would like to discuss your concerns in greater detail so that I can work to make you happier in your home. Please reach out to me directly at (410) 296-4800. I look forward to hearing from you.
Pros: close to 695, off the beaten path, near shopping and restaurants etc, neighborhood is quiet, lots of parks and trails and decent schools near. Maintenance does a great job with snow removal, etc and have always been very kind and efficient Cons: this shows W/D in units but in reality they do not have those in most units. Leasing office promised to install and even put it in writing in the lease renewal. It’s been over two years. When inquiring about he delay I was told they decided to no longer proceed with it.... no follow up with other initiatives like the pseudo dog park. Now it’s a dilapidated chain link fence with overgrown weeds and trash and debris. Again, 2 years and this still was never completed or removed. Carpet is loose fitted and is rumpling. Heat & AC doesn’t go into the bedrooms even though there is a vent and should (leasing office said to “just leave your door open”) ??

This is the first apartment that I have rented in Maryland being that I am originally from NY. I can't stress enough how glad I am to have found this place! It's affordable, in a GREAT QUIET location and has a bunch of great amenities. I am specifically impressed with how quick they respond to maintenance issues, and the fun activities they have for residents throughout the year! I have been living here for almost 3 years now and honestly I don't see myself leaving until I'm ready to buy a house. This is my first apartment living experience in Maryland and I consider myself very very lucky to have found this apartment.

Moved in on Oct 14 of last year and so far our living experience here has been like a dream. Everything is always neat and clean. The surroundings allow you to forget how close you are to the city but doesn’t remove the convenience of shopping centers and other amenities. The staff is so friendly and always happy to assist residents with whatever they need. Every time I visit the leasing office I feel so at home because of the warm welcome that is always provided. Every time I turn around it seems as though there have been improvements made somewhere somehow. The apartment itself is very nice and spacious. The layout is functional and cozy. Ok so now for my personal favorite part about living at Doncaster village, the maitainence team is extraordinary! I will mention something either in passing when I see a staff member or pop in to the leasing office to make them aware of an issue or something that needs fixing and boom it is taken care of. Literally the next day, if not the very same day! I love living here. I know I will be a resident of Doncaster village for the foreseeable future and most likely beyond.
After months of checking a variety of apartments and reviews from various sites, we settled for Doncaster Village. Yes I will agree with some of the reviews about how quiet and nice the area and staff are, but all of that does not matter that only to move in less than 72 hours to find your apartment infested with bugs!!!!! And then to make matters worst we cannot even sleep, eat or live in our apartment. The office is saying they are going to fix the problem, but my concern is that you put us in a infested apartment and now we have to suffer. So I cannot give any high marks as of yet. I find this lease agreement to be an entrapment.
I lived at Skylark, less than an mile away and then my friend moved to Doncaster. She said the office staff is so caring and resolve problems kindly and quickly which was not my experience here at Skylark. So I checked it out for myself and after 3 months at Doncaster I could not be happier. My only sacrifice was loosing my washer/dryer in my apartment, but I traded that for a great staff who cares about me as a customer and I am saving 150 bucks a month - that's almost a car payment. Doncaster - if you guys are reading this - throw in a washer/dryer somehow and you'll keep me for life!
This place is great. Its like living on a golf course out in the country that in the middle of town! Beautiful landscaping surrounded by natural woods complete with deer, just blocks from absolutely everything! Maintenance rocks, we love the pool parties and wine tasting trips. More closet space than my townhouse, the neighbors are friendly and the area is very safe and affordable for the area. Check it out it out. You'll be glad you did!
I love coming home! After work, the gym, errands and all the other things that come with a full and vibrant life, I love coming home. I've lived at Doncaster Village for a year and a half and it's the best place I've ever lived (and I've moved A LOT!) It's quiet, calm, safe and tucked away just outside the city but with easy access (4 minutes) to the highway (695) about 7 minutes from I-95 and 10 minutes from I-83. You can get to anywhere from here! Lots of restaurants and shopping around here too. Maintenance requests are promptly addressed (usually within 24 hours) and the staff is friendly and helpful. The landscaping is well maintained although the lines in the parking lot need to be repainted. It's the whole struggle to park sometimes. I know I probably sound like somebody paid me to say nice things (they didn't) so here are the three things I wish were different: 1) I wish there was a gym on the compound. 2) they advertise the new pool when you sign a lease but the hours of operation are ridiculously limited. Open between memorial day and labor day (like everywhere else) but only from 3pm - 7 pm until school for the kiddies closes for summer break then it's 11am to 7 pm (which really means 6:45 when the life guards kick you out). Those of us who would love to swim laps in the morning before work are out of luck. There is a YMCA right down the street with an indoor pool though so I guess that's an option. Also, you're limited to two guests at the pool at a time and guest passes are $5 a piece. Ridiculous. There are grills by the pool which is great. I just have to choose two friends at a time to BBQ! Bummer. And 3) the complex is surrounded by schools (elementary, middle and high schools). This makes for a lot of traffic if you don't time your morning departure appropriately. It's clogged on Summit Ave from 8:40am until about 9:15 or so.
It's mostly quiet, dog friendly , 24 maintenance everyone's friendly , and okay amount of room and playground for the kids
