Property Ratings at Dove Valley
Would give 1 star if I possibly could. Spoke with Jessica about a 1 bed/bath and visited twice. Was told that it would be no problem to meet my budget and was even given a rate $100 under budget during the second tour. I was told that I had 24 hours to make the decision but that they could hold the rate up to two weeks. I call next day to reserve the apartment for two weeks ago and lock in that rate. Sandra is who I spoke to on the phone and was told that the rate was basically useless and only good if I was approved and moved in same day. I don't need the apartment for another two weeks. Sandra basically blew me off and didn't even care enough to take my name down or ask who I was. When discussing that I was misled, I asked her how much it would be if I waited for two weeks, she said it would be an extra $300 a month! She kept telling me to go to the site which magically raised the rent price $100 from the day before. Sandra acted like she could care less about me being a new tenant and that "another number (not person) would come through and pay that rate". It unfortunate because Jessica was nice and helpful. Poor customer service on this building. Luckily there is other options I could consider.
I would like to congratulate the Staff and recommend Dove Valley Apartments as a great place to choose as your home. The condo is nice, clean, great recreation area and location. The people who work at the property are willing to provide us with an excellent experience. The attention the staff provided us during the time we were living there was incredible. I'm really grateful. Daniela.
We have been staying at Dove Valley Apartments for less than 30 days while our home remodel is completed. We've been having a lot of issues mainly with amenities that we were promised that we'd have access to. It all appears to be a facade and the staff has no intentions to solve any issues. They do smile and put on a face until at one point they start getting rude. This office personnel called me to complain to me about my wife and concluded with a suggestion to move out if we’re unhappy. WOW! How do you respond to that? I think she doesn't realize that the management may have some issues with her behavior. Our issues have been: Hot tub area is consistently double locked during operation hours so we don’t get a chance to use it. It must have been 7 times that we tried and locked every time. They act like they it's such an odd thing that the gates are locked during operating hours until it happens again the next day. I got tired of listening to the same lame surprised behavior but they keep on giving it. Actions speak louder than words. As I was instructed by office staff, I called the maintenance guy to get the gate unlocked he just hung up the phone after saying “I ain’t coming out there to unlock the gate for you”. This took me by surprise because I was not upset or rude to him. The nice grills at the pool area seem to be just for show. One is not even hooked up to the gas line behind it and the other is barely used and you guessed it right, it wasn't operational. When we asked for it to be serviced It appeared that I was being fed one lie after another and I was tired of going to the office so went out and bought a grill. It took them 2 - 3 days to fix the leaky toilets we inherited when we moved in. It's impossible that they didn't notice it while the apartment was being cleaned but never bothered to fix them before we moved in. We couldn’t sleep for the duration because of the constant water noise. Appliances don’t work right. Microwave has a burnt bulb and the turntable doesn’t work so it burns the food. I'm not even wasting time on this one. :) We can’t open the dishwasher door without hitting the oven door handle. This one is weird! Who designed this place? Really? If you’re thinking about leasing from them I recommend you talk to some tenants and ask them if they’re having any issues. Hope this helps...
Whatever anyone does, do not rent from this place. They constantly lie to their residents, they do not keep their residents informed on important subjects, for example, couple months ago, a couple mountain loins were roaming around the area for a couple days (the apartments may be fenced, but there are areas the mountain lions could still sneak in), & most recent the large rat infestation. When we contacted them about one of our vehicles being damaged to the tune of $1200, due to the rats chewing on wires, & asked if they knew about the problem, they said "Yeah, we've known for about a month, & have been putting poison out." Many residents here have pets & children, so it concerns me that they did not feel it was necessary to inform us that they have been putting poison out. Their grounds crew all look & act like they are on drugs & high all the time, & they do a very poor job at shoveling & salting the walkways when it snows (my husband slipped due to their negligence & broke his ankle last winter). We unfortunately just signed a new lease, so we are stuck here, but we want to warn others that this place is not all its cracked up to be. Our rates just went up, & the quality of the place has gone way down.
I've lived here for 2 months now and have had multiple items, including my stereo, stolen from my vehicle. The women in the office showed no concern when I brought this to their attention and basically shrugged me off. The apartment itself has multiple issues including leaky pipes, broken doors, broken blinds, etc. Maintenance and security are very low on their list of concerns and somehow they are trying to raise my rent. Do not rent here
My husband and I were married back in May in our home state of Georgia. Two months later, we found ourselves in a position where we had less than 24 hours to find a rental property to call home in Colorado as the house we were 4 days from closing on fell out of contract. I came across Dove Valley apartments and told them our situation and they were MORE than accommodating to our needs and an unexpected family crisis which hindered me from being present to sign my portion of lease on move-in day. They let my husband sign his portion and have the keys. The staff have been wonderful and responsive to any requests we've had to make, which aren't many, and the property is very well maintained with waste bags for pets and a larger sized dog run. Not to mention the apartments themselves are very nice! I almost don't feel like I'm just one unit in a building! We're definitely considering renewing our lease here when it comes time.
Lived here for going on 2 years now. My wife, our pup, and myself have had an awesome experience so far! We love the trash pickup it's a very convenient service they provide that makes hiking up 3 flights of stairs that much easier. The staff are friendly, and the place is well maintained. Two small things that could be improved on. The hot tub is supposed to be open year round, but last year was very disappointing when we could hardly go down and enjoy the hot tub. One other very small thing is the dog clean up stations could be a little more plentiful. This would help keep certain places in the complex a little cleaner by helping some people clean up after their pooches. It is a great place to live. Colorado is a beautiful state and unfortunately rent doesn't seem to be coming down any time soon but this place is definitely worth the money if it's in your budget, you've found your new home!
Dove valley apartments are good apartments, not super great. Management has changed several times in the last few years and this is usually not a good sign. One thing I'll say is a clean community in a great location with a great park next to it. Maintenance attends your call in a fair time. Very nice pool. It would be nice if you could opt out of the valet trash service if not interested. Windows are not doubled pained so your utility bills in winter will be high- poor insulation. Kitchen size is comfortable, yay for pantry. No problems with noise. Gas grill allowed but only with the tiny green tank.
I have lived here for about a year and a half and love the community. There is not a lot around the complex which definitely makes it very peaceful and quite. The only down sides to living here are the kitchens are a little tight. My dishwasher hits my stove/ oven whenever I have to open it. They also need a few more doggie bag stations put up. I think it would help keep the grounds a lot cleaner. But its overall a very nice place to live with a tennis/ basketball court, a playground, pool, and a dog park.
Dove Valley Apartments has the best staff of any apartment complex we've ever lived in. The office staff are always friendly and helpful and the maintenance guys are efficient and respectful. The parking is ample, so friends don't have to worry about designated parking or a long trek to find your place. It has a tennis court and a playground, which are always kept clean. One unique feature is that this complex has a trash service that picks up garbage from your door, so you do not have to walk down to a dumpster in the snowy cold or wet. This complex is very pet friendly, with a few designated dog areas. However, there is not a ton of barking. The staff is very good about notifying residents about complaints and dealing with it professionally. Overall, this is great place, which is why the rents keep going up. If you can afford to be here, I highly recommend it.
I love where i live! We have friendly neighbors, a great dog park, a nice pool and its veryyyy quite! Great pricing, great area, and only 10 mins from park meadows mall.
I have lived at dove valley for 2 years and recently renewed for the third. In general, the apartments are great! Pet rent is only $20 per month and they are very accepting of most breeds. They are not good about keeping the potty bags stocked but they do keep the grass mowed and watered, which is nice! We have had a few problems with the front office and rent/utilities being posted late, they told us the wrong amount for rent a few times but it was easily fixed. The apartments get a lot of bugs but if you ask for them to spray they will get it done in a timely manner.
