Property Ratings at Dover Country Club
These new landlords do not try to work with you AT ALL! They change all the rules up, there have been more issues than fixes since they got here as well. I’m not surprised that half the complex wants to move somewhere else. Did I also mention they changed the rental prices as well ,..

This apartment is cheap and worth the money. Has two walk-in closet. Beautiful gray floors. Was helped so quickly and I just walked in
Property Manager at Dover Country Club, Responded To This Review
Thank you, for the kind review. We hope you continue to love it here.
I only moved here due to cheap rent and needing a place to go. The management is terrible and changes constantly. Bugs everywhere whenever it is warm or hot out. Neighbors can be EXTREMELY loud and rude, blasting music and slamming doors at all hours. Always smells of pot and Chinese food. They fix any hole by just a little sparkle and paint over it. Halls are dirty and walls covered in holes. My sink shoots water out when on. Do NOT drink the water, get a filter. It’s an ok place for short term but overall I would not move back.
spoke to 3 different people. the person i was dealing with 1st I gave her a deposit...apparently she left. spoke to 2 other people....was told they would get back to me....never heard from them again...after leaving messages and several emails...
This is the second time I have rented an apartment in the Dover Country Club Apartment complex. Currently I am going from a one bedroom to a two bedroom apartment. I would not be doing this if this complex was not a Great Place to Live! The staff Tiffany and Rachel are courteous, professional and go the extra mile to help residents and prospective residents. Their smiling face are the first you see when you walk into the club house. Then there is John and the maintenance staff, Shawn and Tyrone, one of whom is on call 24/7. They know how to fix any problem in any of the apartments quickly and correctly. The parking lots are quickly plowed in the winter and the grounds are well taken care of in the summer. They go the extra mile for residents as well. If you are military or Department of Defense civilians, this is as close to living on base as you can get. The complex is truly a community! The staff puts together events for residents that are child friendly, fun and safe. You are within walking distance of grocery stores, gasoline stations, ice cream shops, post office, hair salons, pet stores etc. It has everything nearby. Come join us?
This place is far from luxury , you might get tetanus from using the gym , the pool is for children , the staff is mediocre , lived here for two years by force because my school ran out of student housing . I have had moles , ants , and all kinds of pest . The exterminator does not come to every building , only when needed . Maintence consists of three men , and they can't keep up with request . This place needs new management ASAP . I can not wait until my lease is over , and I'm currently freaking out because an ant called on me while I was typing this .
- awesome service ! I have lived here for 6 years - always seem to help me out anyway possible.
DO NOT RENT HERE. We have lived here for 11 months and our apartment has been infested with crickets and other bugs from day one. Management won't do a thing about it. They do not turn the air on in the gym and claim that its "broken", which in the summer gets over 100 degrees in there and unbearable to even be in for five minutes. The management staff is awful. They constantly forget to tell maintenance about any complaints and are extremely rude if you have an issue. If you want to bring family or a friend to the pool, you have to pay them per person. There are always kids smoking pot in the hallways, which seeps into the apartments and leaves an awful stench. We reported the issue to management and they resolved this by putting a lock on the back door so you can only go out of it. Needless to say, this did nothing. I have had my fair share of bad living accommodations, but this one takes the cake. Would never refer this place to anyone. Unfortunately the website made me give them at least a star, but its not even worth that.
It can be difficult finding a place to live and sometimes you do have to weigh your options. That in mind I will say if your planning on moving here please if there is a maintenance issue catch someone on the maintenance crew any where you can and TELL THEM of your issue. The leasing office will forget. Expect noise from college student parties, and potholes in parking lots. It is hassle dealing with leasing office management, expect friendly greetings but when real issues arise expect attitude. They are of no help to residents in certain situations, and seem to only care for profit. Maintenance is the best! Very helpful!
I've lived here for 3 years now and I've had a pretty good experience with the area. My building (Building C) is right off of route 8. This part is the only negative to my living here, the local kids will get their snacks and cigars from Wawa and come over into our hallways to get high and they usually leave their trash. They're usually just kids so getting them to leave is pretty easy if you catch them in the act. A simple "can you take that somewhere else" works. Otherwise, I can hardly hear my neighbors. We work a 2nd shift and were able to live in peace even with our upstairs neighbor having 2 young boys. I was offered Free Heat (I hope you are too!) and that is just a great perk to have anywhere you live. The living room and bedrooms are large and the closet space is enormous all throughout the apartment. The location is pretty nice because overall it's a quiet area on the outskirts of Dover. There are a couple of roads that can get you to route 13 easily. You're an easy walk or drive from the Greentree shopping center so if weather or event traffic is hectic, you're still safe from the hassle! If we weren't moving cross country on a new adventure we would definitely stay here.
The parking lot has been in shambles for awhile. During the winter when potholes happen, they're left unattended for a good while. On Memorial day, when the pool was to open, it did not because they said they could not find a lifeguard. They have yet to fix the drywall that another tenant made a hole, moving something in their apt. There's a lot of potential, but the staff manage it poorly.
